The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explained the move in a press release yesterday, which states:
CDC is conducting a new pilot on samples it is collecting as part of its Traveler-based Genomic Surveillance (TGS) program that will provide early detection of flu, RSV, and select other respiratory viruses, in addition to SARS-CoV-2. The pilot, which will last for several months, will be implemented by Ginkgo Bioworks and XpresCheck. Samples that test positive for these viruses will be sequenced and uploaded to public databases to provide valuable information to public health officials and policy makers.
The expansion of the Traveler-based Genomic Surveillance program to flu, RSV, and other pathogens is essential as we head into fall respiratory season.
The TGS program, which began during the COVID-19 pandemic, acted as an early warning system to detect new and rare variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and will do the same for other respiratory viruses going forward.
Dr. Cindy Friedman, chief of CDC’s Travelers’ Health Branch, said
TGS is a multimodal platform that consists of three complementary approaches including voluntary nasal sampling of arriving international travelers, aircraft testing and wastewater sampling at seven airports nationwide. TGS has proven to be a nimble and scalable resource for public health officials in the United States–quickly adapting to a changing pandemic in real time and addressing gaps in global surveillance; especially, when testing and sequencing information are limited. For example, TGS provided early detection of the SARS-CoV-2 variant BA.2.86 entering the United States within days of its global identification. As the infected traveler had originated travel in Japan, this finding also informed the public health community that the new variant had also spread to Asia.
As of September 2023, TGS has enrolled more than 360,000 air travelers. Participation in the program is voluntary and anonymous. The program covers flights from more than 135 countries from all World Health Organization regions.
The CDC also notes the program also mitigates viral samples in sewer and waster water, and in this case the waste water collected from the airplanes are also tested.
Matt McKnight, Ginkgo Bioworks general manager for biosecurity, also said in a statement:
By building sustainable, scalable infrastructure that is capable of detecting biological threats beyond SARS-CoV-2, the TGS program is a global leader in the evolution of biosecurity. Persistent monitoring can give officials an early warning by offering a view into how pathogens spread across the globe.
The Hill reports that Kennedy International Airport, San Francisco Airport, Logan International Airport and Dulles Airport, are all on-board with implementing the broader level of surveillance.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
In 2010 The Rockefeller Foundation published a document called “Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development,” which prophesized the eventual Covid lockdowns and nonsense that would come due to a pandemic, under the heading “Lock Step.” A segment from the document reads:
Even after the pandemic faded, this more authoritarian control and oversight of citizens and their activities stuck and even intensified. In order to protect themselves from the spread of increasingly global problems—from pandemics and transnational terrorism to environmental crises and rising poverty—leaders around the world took a firmer grip on power.
This is what we are seeing now. Now that Covid is basically a distant memory at this point, the CDC and Big Brother still remain at large to maintain their old systems in place and use them for more oppression. Now the CDC can leverage flu and RSV outbreaks (so-called) on everyone.
A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.
Proverbs 13:17
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Be carful of technology; they are watching ya and want control
You are right about that David. “Voluntary nasal sample, testing our excrement, and testing planes, that sounds like some intense scrutiny! In fact, it seem like we are all under a microscope all the time. What are they gonna do with all that data? I guess it will be used to control us.
Does anyone know of an organization that gives out free KJV Bibles that I can donate to? I want one that only gives out KJV and not a variety of versions.
