The United States House of Representatives has passed a resolution that threatens to attack and impede Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon by using “all means necessary,” as Iran has warned that they will strike the U.S. in a ceasefire is not reached in Gaza.
On November 2nd the House passed “H.Res.559 – Declaring it is the policy of the United States that a nuclear Islamic Republic of Iran is not acceptable.” The legislation was first introduced in June but did not get picked up until now, with some reforms made to it.
The resolution passed with a vote of 354-53, with 50 Democrats and three Republicans voting against the measure. New House Speaker Mike Johnson was one of the many who voted in favor of this resolution.
The text of the resolution explicitly states that the U.S. will not tolerate Iran possessing a nuclear weapon, and therefore approves the “use all means necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.”
The whole text of the resolution reads as follows:
Whereas an Islamic Republic of Iran that possesses a nuclear weapon would be an unacceptable threat to regional and global security;
Whereas Iran continues to enrich and stockpile uranium far in excess of the limits set under United Nations Security Council Resolution 2231 (2015);
Whereas the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) confirmed in May 2023 that Iran continues to enrich uranium to 60-percent purity;
Whereas the United States Ambassador to the Vienna Office of the United Nations and to the IAEA, Laura Holgate, affirmed “Iran’s production of uranium enriched up to 60 percent has no credible peaceful purpose.”;
Whereas IAEA investigators found uranium particles enriched to 83.7 percent at Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility in January 2023;
Whereas uranium enriched to 90 percent is weapons-grade material;
Whereas at a press conference in January 2023, IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi stated regarding Iran: “One thing is true: They have amassed enough nuclear material for several nuclear weapons.”;
Whereas, in March 2023, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Mark Milley, testified that “Iran could produce fissile material for a nuclear weapon in less than two weeks and would only take several more months to produce an actual nuclear weapon.”;
Whereas Iran is now in possession of irreversible and dangerous nuclear knowledge;
Whereas Iran’s ongoing nuclear escalation poses a serious threat to the United States and its partners and allies including Israel; and
Whereas international complacency toward Iran’s illicit nuclear program threatens the global nonproliferation regime: Now, therefore, be it
Resolved, That the House of Representatives declares it is the policy of the United States—
(1) that a nuclear Islamic Republic of Iran is not acceptable;
(2) that Iran must not be able to obtain a nuclear weapon under any circumstances or conditions;
(3) to use all means necessary to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon; and
(4) to recognize and support the freedom of action of partners and allies, including Israel, to prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon.
Republican Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky voted ‘no,’ highlighting the “all means necessary” clause as to why he did not support the measure; saying this “seems like a call for war on Iran,” he said in an X post.
AntiWar.com also noted that “in order to make a nuclear weapon, uranium needs to be enriched at 90%, and there’s no sign Tehran is considering taking that step.”
Meanwhile the Senate is considering implementing their own resolution that would allow the U.S. to launch military strikes on Iran if Hezbollah, a radical Muslim terrorist group funded by Iran, attacks Israel and launches a war on a second front.
The motion has been introduced by Senators Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn). The duo explained what the resolution entails on CNN’s State of the Union.
“It’s aggressive, but it’s absolutely necessary,” Blumenthal said.
It basically says if the war expands, if Hezbollah opens up a second front in the north against Israel in a substantial way, to overwhelm the Iron Dome, then we should hit the Islamic Republic of Iran. There is no Hamas without the Ayatollah’s support. There’s no Hezbollah without the Ayatollah’s support.
The resolution puts Iran on notice that all this military force in the region will be coming after you if you expand this war by activating Hezbollah or killing an American through your proxies in Syria and Iraq. They need to hear that.
Graham added
Graham was already going after Iran since the war broke out and urged the U.S. to strike them and go to war with them also. Speaker of the House Johnson has too like Graham lumped Iran, China, and Russia together in what they are calling a new “axis of evil.”
This comes after Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah threatened to escalate the war.
Your fleet in the Mediterranean do not scare us… We are ready to face the fleet you threaten us with. Whoever wants to prevent a regional war must quickly stop the aggression on Gaza.
[The United States] impedes a ceasefire and the end of the aggression. Nasrallah said
Iran Threatens To Attack US
In response to the growing calls of war from the U.S., and Israel’s and the United States’ refusal to consider a ceasefire, Iran is now threatening to strike the U.S. if peace is not found.
Mohammad-Reza Ashtiani, Iran’s Minister of Defence, said in a statement:
Our advice to the Americans is to immediately halt the war in Gaza and implement a ceasefire, otherwise they will be hit hard.
We have always recommended the Americans not to support the Zionist regime.
The General stated, according to Iranian outlet IRNA, which also noted that Iran considers the U.S. to be “militarily-involved” in the conflict.
Furthermore, Mohammad Reza Naqdi deputy leader of the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, cited by Daily Mail, said:
If Israel’s crimes continue, we should strike America’s interests.
He warned, not explaining how
On Sunday Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said Israel was committing “war crimes and genocide” with the “full support” of the U.S government.
Israel’s criminal acts, fully supported by the United States, portray the arrogant spirit of Washington which incited hatred among nations across the world.
Kanaani said, according to Press TV.
Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu has struck down all considerations for a ceasefire, claiming this would be a surrender to terrorism if they did. National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said in a statement: “We do not believe that a ceasefire is the right answer right now. We do not support a ceasefire at this time.”
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears.
Proverbs 26:17
Once again for the umpteenth time, I have continued to point out that all these hypocrites in Washington, the media, and the Pentagon persist in repeating this propaganda that they don’t want “escalation,” and then they spin right around and do everything they can to provoke and escalate the problem.
This is what a pair of Chinese military officials recently said; that “the U.S. are war addicts,” and, “Wherever the US military goes, people die everywhere.”
Once more, I have again noted that the nations around the world are squarely blaming the U.S. for the quagmire in Israel, as can be seen in our above Proverb.
Buckle-up and get ready for a false flag to greatly expand this war…
[6] And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. [7] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. [8] All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:6-8
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

In the US; de-escalation means strike now.
