Known as “the ultimate survival food” to many survivalists, preppers, and historians – pemmican is a recipe everyone should learn how to make, especially with the times ahead.

Pemmican is Native-American and colonial American food that is made from dried meat, such as beef, bison, venison; along with rendered fat and suet, and sometimes berries. Pemmican is renowned for being such an excellent survival food because it is nutrient and calorically-dense, compact, and depending on the recipe has great shelf live.

Colonial historian Townsends provides the brief history and uses of pemmican.

There are a number of recipes online you can read/watch and learn how to make it yourself, some of which you can watch below:

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

3 John 2

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Great find. 20 years of no refrigeration after you make it; without needing toxic preservatives, amazing.

    Philippians 4:8
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
