The United States continues to up its military support for Israel as the regional conflict continues expand on a daily basis, as the world awaits Israel’s anticipated heavy ground assault into Gaza, along with perhaps Syria and Lebanon.
Yesterday the Department of Defense (DoD) confirmed to Fox News that the Pentagon is will be sending Iron Dome missile defense systems to Israel.
The U.S. will be flowing additional Iron Dome support to Israel. As a result, the Department of Defense is currently engaged in planning to support the provision of U.S. Iron Dome batteries to Israel.
The official stated
Fox explained, ‘Iron Dome operates using a sophisticated radar system that detects incoming projectiles from about 40 miles away. It then calculates the trajectories of the projectiles and discerns their potential threats by firing a launcher containing 20 interceptor missiles to intercept any rocket deemed dangerous.’
U.S. Representatives Jared Moskowitz and Brian Mast, both Democrats from Florida, announced a bipartisan coalition to transfer the missile systems to Israel. They said in their press release that America owns two Iron Dome systems that are “sitting idle and not being used.”
Every time the Iron Dome is used, it saves thousands of innocent Israeli and Palestinian lives from Hamas terrorists. Now more than ever, the United States must stand with Israel in their war against terrorists who wish nothing but to destroy Israel and the people that live there.
Moskowitz said.
Additional Jets
With two aircraft carriers already stationed offshore in the Mediterranean Sea to aid Israel, yesterday Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Brig. Gen. Pat Ryder said during a press conference yesterday that the U.S. has provided F-16s from the New Jersey Air National Guard’s 119th Expeditionary Fighter Squadron.
We know that the groups conducting these attacks are supported by the [Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps] and the Iranian regime.
What we are seeing is the prospect for more significant escalation against U.S. forces and personnel across the region, in the very near term, coming from Iranian proxy forces and ultimately from Iran.
Ryder said
Ryder also acknowledged sending Iron Dome defense systems and other munitions.
As we’ve highlighted, this includes capabilities requested by Israel, to include precision guided munitions, small diameter bombs, artillery, ammunition, Iron Dome interceptors and other critical equipment.
We continue to stay in close contact with our Israeli partners on their defense needs and remain committed to the security of Israel.
He added
Adviser General
On Monday, Axios learned that Lt. Gen. James Glynn, a 3-star general, who has experience with operations against ISIS in Iraq, is being sent to Israel to ‘help advise the Israeli military’s leadership in its operation in Gaza.’
‘Glynn is not expected to stay in Israel to follow the IDF ground invasion, sources with direct knowledge of the issue said,’ Axios reported.
We have asked several officials with relevant experience simply to help Israeli officials think through the difficult questions ahead and explore their options. The IDF will, as always, make its own decisions.
A Pentagon spokesperson told Axios.
Last week the Pentagon announced that 2,000 marines were being deployed to Israel.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Again, we continue to hear all this rhetoric about not wanting “escalation,” and yet the U.S., on a daily basis, is doing everything it can to ensure that this war escalates. No talk of peace, no diplomacy and working to broker some sort of a deal, just lining the pockets of the military industrial complex.
A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:8 – more like, a double minded country!
And all of this is only weakening U.S. national defenses. This stuff is being removed from bases across the country, as noted by the Pentagon in their press releases; and it’s not like we can make these weapons overnight. Our weaponry is only going to get spent up and destroyed overseas in another war that is not winnable, while our domestic defenses continue to dwindle rapidly.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
