Treasurer Janet Yellen Says US Can Fund Israel And Ukraine’s Wars Simultaneously, Claims Economy Is ‘Doing Extremely Well’

This morning British Sky News aired an interview conducted by Wilfred Frost, discussing with United States Treasurer Janet Yellen on a variety of topics concerning American and global finances, the wars in Ukraine and Israel, a vacant Speaker of the House, and more.

During the interview, Yellen, who also served as the head Chair of the Federal Reserve from 2014-2018, claimed that the U.S. has the capacity to fund both of these wars, claiming that the U.S. consumer and broader economy is doing great.

Frost said that the country is in “the weakest fiscal position” since World War II, inquiring, “Can America or can the West afford another war at this time,” Frost asked. Yellen replied by stating:

I think the answer is absolutely. America can certainly afford to stand with Israel and support Israel’s military needs, and we also can and must support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia.

Look, the American economy is doing extremely well. Inflation has been high, and it has been a concern to households. It has come down considerably, at the same time, we have about the strongest labor market we have seen in 50 years with 3.8% unemployment.

Yellen, contrary to the slew of publicly available data and headlines Americans and people abroad can read, has continued to claim America’s economic stability and strength.

Last week Yellen claimed that ‘Businesses and households are coping well with higher borrowing costs,’ according to a Financial Times report.

Moreover, nearly one month ago, Yellen again emphasized that the U.S. economy is not in a downturn. Reuters reported on September 18th, with Yellen stating:

I don’t see any signs that the economy is at risk of a downturn.

Yellen told CNBC in an interview, claiming that the U.S. labor market has remained strong and inflation was coming down.

But Yellen has been singing this song for some time already. In April she echoed a similar sentiment, claiming that she did not forecast an economic downturn.

I’ve not really seen evidence at this stage suggesting a contraction in credit, although that is a possibility.

I believe our banking system remains strong and resilient. It has solid capital and liquidity, and the U.S. economy is obviously performing exceptionally well with continued solid job creation, inflation gradually moving down, robust consumer spending. So I’m not anticipating a downturn in the economy, although, of course, that remains a risk.

She explained at the time

Of course, Janet Yellen, along with Fed Chair Jerome Powell, had claimed all throughout 2021 that inflation would be “transitory” and temporary, though it continued to rip higher each month and into 2022, as evidence pointed towards the contrary. She would later ‘apologize’ in June of last year saying she got it wrong.

I think I was wrong then about the path that inflation would take.

This a perfect verse to describe Janet Yellen and her rhetoric:

Yellen is a former Fed Chair President: she is no silly women, she knows what she is saying is a total and brazen lie. But, this type of lying is to be expected; and as longtime readers would recall me saying, never trust the words that come out of a Fed Reserve or high-ranking bankers mouth.

When these people talk they talk in code and cryptic, backwards language; where is up is down, and black is white, and 2+2=5.

When Janet Yellen says we can fund both wars, she really means we can’t. When see says the economy is “doing extremely well,” she really means it is extremely pitiful and a twitching corpse, twice dead, plucked up from the roots (Jude 12). When she Americans are coping with higher rates and bonds selling off, she really means are Americans are pinching pennies, broke, deep in debt, and in no way can pull themselves out of it. When she says banking is “resilient,” she means the system is insolvent and illiquid. And on and on.

Every last indicator you can think of shows that the economy is dead and dying; but you didn’t need to see the raw economic numbers to know this: just open your window and let not your eyes deceive you.

But, as you and I already knew from the second Israel declared war last week, the U.S will now bankroll Israel in yet another endless war that will only expand and grow.
