Using “bio-inks,” researchers at Australia’s Monash University have 3D-printed living neurons—brain cells—that continue growing in a lab and are able to send and respond to nerve signals.

The following report is by The Trends Journal:

Bioprinting a combination of living cells and other materials, the scientists replicated the arrangement of the brain’s “gray matter”—neurons and their stubby dendrites that communicate with other neurons close by—and “white matter,” neurons’ long, trailing axons that send and receive signals from farther away in the brain.

Other investigators have grown two-dimensional cultures of neurons, but a flat arrangement doesn’t mimic the way neurons actually grow and communicate, the Monash team said.

In contrast, the 3D arrangement lets the scientists see how the brain communicates across different layers. For example, they found that neurons’ projections grew into the layers of white matter and used them as “highways” to communicate with neurons in other gray layers.

The cultured neurons not only responded to electrical and chemical stimulation, but also initiated their own communications.

TRENDPOST: The new technique will enable a greater understanding of how communication takes place within the brain and also can be a testing ground for neurons’ responses to new drugs.

More broadly, this research will allow scientists to think about using stem cells to eventually be able to grow and print implantable brain tissue for people impaired by strokes and other brain injuries.

And, of course, it allows us to imagine lab-grown living brains, or parts of them, being implanted in robots, taking us that much closer to melding humans and machines.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Taking things are step further, again, as I have pointed in different articles before about this push for transhumanism, what you are seeing are the mad scientists who this secret, ultimate goal of trying to play God and recreate man in their own image and likeness, ironing out the “faults” of God; when it is man in his foolishness that perverted his way and yet blames the Lord for it. Typical.

Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things.)

Philippians 3:19

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Turn up the pits of Hell, there are more residents coming, and there is a special room for those that try to (think their are) correcting God.

  • “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Gal. 6: 7.

Just what we need…a bunch of brain cells with legs, chasing their masters all over the place! These idiots won’t be satisfied until they can have human hybrids as personal pets. If God allowed it, their own contrivances would ultimately turn on them and destroy them. Maybe some of their mad scientist inventions will be the several beasts of Revelation that nobody can identify…

” 21. Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 23. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.” Rom. 1: 21-23
