“Ultimately, this is about the fans, bringing them a next-generation stadium experience so they can spend more time enjoying the footy.”

In April the Australian Football League (AFL) announced that Marvel Stadium partnered with Amazon to roll out their contactless payment system they call “Just Walk Out” technology.

The AFL said in a press release “the move will modernize the stadium’s food and beverage offering, giving fans the ability to grab food and drink and get back to the game faster, thanks to a frictionless shopping experience.”

Two of these payment devices have been installed at a food and beverage concession stand, and another at a bar in the stadium. Patrons who do purchase booze will still need to provide an ID.

‘Fans will simply use their credit or debit card, or mobile wallet payment option at entry, collect their items, and leave the store without having to wait in line to checkout. In the time it takes for a goal break, a Marvel Stadium fan will be able to get the refreshments they need without missing any of the action,’ the AFL added.

The Just Walk Out Technology utilizes generative AI to precisely determine who purchased what.

We are continually looking at new ways to innovate and modernize our fan experience, and we know everyone will love the fast, convenient experience that Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology will deliver.

Ultimately, this is about the fans, bringing them a next-generation stadium experience so they can spend more time enjoying the footy.

Kylie Rogers, AFL EGM Customer and Commercial, said in a statement

It’s a big day for our Just Walk Out technology as we announce our first implementation in the Southern Hemisphere with two major Australian sporting institutions—AFL and Marvel Stadium.

We’re proud to bring our convenient checkout experience to fans across the globe so they can get what they need and get back to their seats faster, never missing a moment of the game.

AU Stadiums added that ‘the technology is currently in use at sports venues across the USA, including TD Garden, home of the Boston Celtics (NBA) and Boston Bruins (NHL), and Climate Pledge Arena, home of the Seattle Kraken (NHL).’

Amazon’s Just Walk Out Tech has been implemented across many Whole Foods locations, while other independent stores have begun to embrace the tech as well. However New York City residents have sued Amazon over their contactless payment terminals after it was allegedly discovered the company has been illegally collecting their personal information.

An Aldi location in the United Kingdom has also retrofit the location with identical tech, as has another store in Ireland.

For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the fool: this also is vanity.

Ecclesiastes 7:6

The sheepish laughter of that fool, as can be heard in that embedded video above, laughing at his own enslavement, and he’s too blind to see it.

The Covid War wrought the “new normal,” as a major component of that was the push to get off physical payments and cash, and go digital contactless. Now in 2023 all over the world this is rapidly happening. It’s another brick in the foundation for the mark of the beast.

[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:16-18

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
