King James Bible Banned In Some Utah Schools Over Claims Of ‘Vulgarity And Violence’

Davis School District schools have removed the KJV after a review committee claims they found it contained “vulgarity and violence.”

A spokesperson for the committee said that they determined the Bible “does not contain sensitive material as defined by Utah Code,” but was still nevertheless removed from certain schools because of ‘age appropriateness,’ Fox 13 News reports.

Since the review was published the King James Bible has been removed from 7-8 elementary and middle schools.

But the decision has already sparked an appeal by a resident who wants to see the KJB return to all the school libraries. The committee will then be forced to sit down and rehash this decision.

This controversy dates back to March when the Salt Lake Tribune (SLT) obtained a parent’s petition, who wrote,

Utah Parents United left off one of the most sex-ridden books around: The Bible.

Incest, onanism, bestiality, prostitution, genital mutilation, fellatio, dildos, rape, and even infanticide. You’ll no doubt find that the Bible, under Utah Code Ann. § 76-10-1227, has ‘no serious values for minors’ because it’s pornographic by our new definition.

Get this PORN out of our schools. If the books that have been banned so far are any indication for way lesser offenses, this should be a slam dunk.

I thank the Utah Legislature and Utah Parents United for making this bad faith process so much easier and way more efficient. Now we can all ban books and you don’t even need to read them or be accurate about it. Heck, you don’t even need to see the book!

The woman wrote

The code refers to a change made in 2022 per the calls from many conservatives to get many pro-LGTBQIA+ titles out of the libraries. The new code prohibits “pornographic or indecent” content from Utah schools, both in libraries and in the classroom.

The SLT wrote: ‘Based on the new Utah law, something is indecent if it includes explicit sexual arousal, stimulation, masturbation, intercourse, sodomy or fondling. According to state attorneys, material doesn’t have to be “taken as a whole” in those situations or left on the shelf during a review. If there is a scene involving any of those acts, it should be immediately removed.’

The woman also blasts the Utah Parents United, which played a big part in getting the code changed, calling them “White-supremacists.”

Attached with the woman’s complaint was an 8-page list of verses that she claimed broke the new code. Most of the flagged passages came from Genesis, Leviticus, Song of Solomon, Ezekiel, 1 Corinthians, and many more; which can be read below:

Representative Ken Ivory (R), who sponsored the bill, said in March there were “antics that drain school resources.”

There was a purpose to the bill and this kind of stuff, it’s very unfortunate. There are any number of studies that directly link sexualization and hyper-sexualization with sexual exploitation and abuse. Certainly, those are things we don’t want in schools.

If a parent still wants their kid to read a certain book, they can go buy it on Amazon or at a bookstore or even check it out at their public library.

When asked specifically if the challenge on the Bible had merit, Ivory said: “I guess the schools will get to burn time and resource to determine that.” He said that this was more of a political stunt than an actual request. “For people to minimize that and to make a mockery of it is very sad,” he said.

‘Williams with Davis School District noted that parents can also call their child’s school and limit their account, specifically, so the student cannot check out listed titles. Only 10 parents have done that across the district, Williams noted,’ The SLT added.

But Ivory’s tone has changed since the committee’s review was published and the King James Bible was removed.

When many groups characterize this as banning books, that really is an attempt to simply, you know, hyperbolize what’s going on, we’re simply, clarifying age-appropriate limits.

Their determination to limit the age appropriateness of the Bible should set a standard.

The Bible has always been best studied around the fireplace by the families where, you know, parents can give context to the warnings and the teachings that are in the Bible.

Contrary to what that mindless elephant asserts, this nation was built and founded upon the King James Bible (simply called Holy Bible then before the new versions courtesy of the Vatican came onto the scene); and it was that King James Bible that led to this nation’s long since lost and forgotten prosperity; blessedness that has become the stuff of legend and folklore at this point, seeing just how far we’ve fallen.

The KJB says “Where the word of king is, there is power” (Ecclesiastes 4:8);” and that’s why these schools and more will be banning the KJB. And notice: not all the other new versions, just the King James. I thought they ‘all say the same thing,’ the new versionist pharisee and scribe will say.

Just like it is now with this debacle, it was the [un]godly, reverential conservatives that changed the Bible and allowed all these problems in this country to spread like a plague! And considering that so many other Red states put in place book bans to get rid of the “woke” material – get ready for this contagion of Bible-banning to spread.

This nation is over and needs to be brought to an end. The people in this country are so evil and wicked, and could not care less about the atrocities they themselves and the country commits on a routine basis. As Mr. Denlinger implied and I totally agree, saying “God bless America” is profanity and blasphemy at this point.

I had written in my book “The Lord of Glory” that the Philadelphia church period in history (Revelation 3:7-13) saw the birth of the U.S. because it trusted and believed in that King James Bible. 7 is the number of holiness and perfection in the Bible, and 13 is the number of rebellion. America was born out of rebellion though of righteousness, and it is now about to die in rebellion against God.
