Even though companies like Beyond Meat were able to secure multiple partnership deals with major fast food brands to provide vegan meat substitutes, customers just weren’t buying.
Last year McDonald’s dropped their products from their test locations and a memo from a JP Morgan investor said that that the brand is “McDone,” as sales were noticeably in the gutter.
Not very long after this news was published to investors, the company’s COO was arrested at a football game after trying to bite another man’s ear off.
And later that year the sales of Beyond Meat continued to crumble. Furthermore, a inspection revealed that one of their factories were deemed to be unsanitary, finding plenty of mold, listeria, and other health concerns.
Now the latest round of financial data reveals that Beyond Meat and rival Impossible Foods have basically imploded.
Bloomberg said in a report:
Impossible Foods Inc., the maker of meatless burgers and sausages, is preparing to cut about 20% of its staff, according to a person familiar with the matter.
The Redwood City, California-based company currently employs about 700 workers. The new round of dismissals could reduce that amount by more than 100.
Impossible Foods also offered voluntary separation payments and benefits to employees at the end of 2022, said the person, who asked not to be named discussing private information. An internal document viewed by Bloomberg confirmed the separation packages being offered. The company previously reduced headcount in October, cutting about 6% of its workforce at the time.
Furthermore, as noted by ZeroHedge, ‘Beyond Meat’s sales fell over 22% in the third quarter of 2022, as the company is preparing to similarly cut 20% of its workers.’
Sales at the supermarkets fell by 15% year-over-year as of January 1st, while restaurant orders dropped another 9% in the year ending in November.
Consumer-experience strategy firm HundredX says that they also found that the number of people who have tried the plant-based meats are not willing to try them again.
Beyond Meat’s stock price is also down 67% since last year, ZeroHedge added.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
It should also be noted that now the plant-based slop has basically collapsed and most people have made it clear they do not want this garbage, you will begin to see the push for lab-grown and cell-cultured meats instead. This is what people like Bill Gates want, and this industry is starting to become more talked about in the media.
Last week I reported on a survey that reveals that nearly 40% of professing Christians say they would eat lab-grown meat if it is indistinguishable for the real thing, and is cheaper.
The lab-grown slop is another experiment that will flop and succeed. I believe that industry will ultimately go the way Beyond Meat and Impossible Foods are going, but time will tell.
I still continually say and believe that normalized cannibalism is where a lot of this is ultimately going to eventually.
Business Insider Claims That Cannibalism Used To Be A Popular Medical Remedy
The New York Times Says That Cannibalism Will Soon Become Normalized And Accepted
[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth. 1 Timothy 4:1-3
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
