Activists are fuming after a rising number of dead whales have washed ashore on New Jersey beaches, blaming their deaths on the state’s use of sonar mapping to install new offshore wind turbines.
By January 9th 6 whales deceased whales floated ashore, all within a 33-day period.
The wave of dead whales is the ocean sounding the alarm, and we must heed the warning.
Never before, in the history of man, has there been such a massive industrialization of an ecosystem in such a short period of time. Imagine if we were to consider clear-cutting the Smoky Mountains for solar panels. There would be riots in the street.
[We need to] stop all of the sonar, stop all of the preconstruction activity offshore right now until we can determine whether or not that has any impact or any part of the cause for any of these whales washing up. Cindy Zipf, executive director of the environmental group Clean Ocean Action, said
On the 9th Zipf headed a news conference, joined by with other environmental groups and anti-offshore wind farm persons, urging the Biden administration to perform a “transparent” investigation into why these whales are dying.
Down Beach reported that ‘they released a copy of a five-page letter, sent to Biden, that outlines their concerns about the whale deaths and what they believe is the government’s lax regulatory oversight of offshore wind farms.’
We are deeply troubled by the heretofore lack of a comprehensive public response from federal agencies responsible for their protection, which is required by law under the Endangered Species Act, among others.
Part of the letter notes of the government’s oversight of whales.
Zipf and others in attendance questioned if these deaths were caused by ‘hypersonic geological surveying to map the seabed where the offshore wind farms would be located, including one that is proposed along the South Jersey coast between Atlantic City and Stone Harbor,’ Down Beach added.
Clean Ocean Action and other environmental groups claim that the approval of these wind farm companies have been contracted to “harm, harass, injure and kill” over 157,000 marine animals off the New Jersey and New York coasts, per these companies required preliminary research and regulatory process.
Our government has provided these entities with a license to kill.
We need to stay focused, we need to put a halt to this, we need to find better alternatives for cleaner energy. Most importantly, we need to have the answers as to why these animals are washing up. It’s not just here. It’s up and down our East Coast.
Suzanne Hornick, an Ocean City resident and member of the group Protect Our Coast NJ, said
Governor Phil Murphy commented on the whales’ death several days after the press conference, calling the deaths “tragic” and said “we are” investigating the concerns that the wind farm may be causing the problem, NJ.com reported
Murphy is an advocate for these offshore wind farms and wants to be a leader in so-called green energy. The state has already approved three offshore wind farms and plans to add more. Murphy wishes to be producing 11,000 megawatts of power in New Jersey by 2040.
One of the contracted companies, a Danish energy company called Orsted, seeks to install 99 towering wind turbines 15 miles off the coast between Atlantic City and Stone Harbor. They want construction to begin in 2024.
As the world’s most sustainable energy company, we prioritize coexistence with our communities and marine wildlife. When offshore, we combine human surveillance and state-of-the-art technical equipment to avoid any impact on marine wildlife as we build projects to advance New Jersey’s clean energy ambitions.
These ambitions are critical to combating climate change, which is one of the leading threats to the environment and marine life, including whales. It’s important for all ocean users to continue working with state and federal officials to further advance science-based and smart policies that protect critical marine life, while addressing climate change.
Orsted spokeswoman Maddy Urbish said in a statement.
Unfortunately more whales continue to die.
Yesterday The New York Post reported on another dead humpback whale washing ashore on Lido Beach in Long Island, New York. The whale was 35-feet long.
This is by far the largest. The crews that have been here for almost two decades have never seen a whale this size.
We had to move the whale to higher ground because of the high tide.
You don’t see something like this in your lifetime, I understand that – but it’s also a really sad day here.
This whale died, and unfortunately you’re going to have people coming here to take a look at it.

AUTHORY COMMENTARY
A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel.
Proverbs 12:10
Once again, the “green” technologies are doing more harm than good. What a shock, right? But do these eco warriors care? Of course not.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

18 And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.
Revelation 11:18
They’ve destroyed the earth, now during the Time Of Jacob’s Trouble, God is going to destroy them!
You know I have noticed that since the cricket food has come out the vegans have kept quiet. Aren’t crickets considered a living creature and it moves and breathes and feels pain too. Why they not protesting to save the crickets!? Lol
