In an updated report released on December 17th, FiveThirtyEight reported that the incoming Biden administration will break records for the most women in his cabinet.

As it stands, Biden will have appointed 11 women of color for cabinet-level positions. As of December 17th, he has appointed 10 women (compared with 9 men) to also serve in these positions.

If they are all confirmed, this will break the record for most women to sit in the 25 member cabinet.

The report also cites that Janet Yellen, the 15th chair of the Federal Reserve in 2014-2018 (the first woman to do so), will serve as the U.S. treasury secretary.

The article goes onto say, “So while you may think that Biden didn’t appoint enough women to his inner Cabinet, or that the lack of women leading stereotypically masculine departments continues to be a problem, Biden’s appointment of a record number of women does matter. Picking more women as Cabinet officials has a snowball effect. As Barnes told us, “Once you start on a trajectory of nominating more women, it’s hard to roll it back.””

“But, generally speaking, the more opportunities women see available in leadership roles, the greater their motivation will become to pursue professional opportunities. In turn, the more women who populate these pipelines to power, the better-positioned they will be to assume political leadership.”

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Isaiah 3:12

When the Covid war broke out, I never realized just how many women were in some form of political leadership and authoritative role. But what what happened to biblical Israel is happening again.

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

Romans 15:4

Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.

1 Corinthians 10:11

History is repeating itself yet again.

This report is NOT some ‘mysoginistic’ hit piece against women. Saved women in the word of God are given tremendous honor and respect. But a woman’s role is not to be in a leadership role: that is not the role God created a woman for. It doesn’t mean God is biased against women, it just means that their role that God created them for, which is just as equally important and blessed, is the natural way the Lord designed them to be.

When we see all these women taking authoritative power in a nation, it is a judgment upon the land.

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

Proverbs 29:2
