“What had been a cold over the last 10 days turned into something more severe on the night of the USA-Netherlands game, and I could feel my upper chest take on a new level of pressure and discomfort.”

This post was first made on December 10th. New information has been added.

Famed soccer journalist Grant Wahl was pronounced dead on December 9th at 48, just several days after his birthday.

Dr. Celine Gounder, Wahl’s wife – who also served on Biden’s Covid-19 Advisory Board – issued a short statement on Twitter and reposted an official statement from Team USA, writing, “I’m in complete shock.”

The two met at Princeton University and got married in 2001.

USA Today reported: ‘U.S. media seated near him said Wahl fell back in his seat in a section of Lusail Iconic Stadium reserved for journalists during extra time of the game, and reporters adjacent to him called for assistance. Emergency services workers responded very quickly, the reporters said, and the reporters later were told that Wahl had died.’

The World Cup organizing committee did not release a cause of death.

UPDATE: Since then Wahl’s wife says that he died from an aortic aneurysm that ruptured, she told CBS Mornings.

It’s just one of these things that had been likely brewing for years, and for whatever reason it happened at this point in time.

The chest pressure he experienced shortly before his death may have represented the initial symptoms. No amount of CPR or shocks would have saved him.

Gounder said

Wahl had written in a column on Monday that he was not feeling well and was suffering from a “severe” illness, causing him to seek out medical attention while in Qatar.

My body finally broke down on me. Three weeks of little sleep, high stress and lots of work can do that to you. What had been a cold over the last 10 days turned into something more severe on the night of the USA-Netherlands game, and I could feel my upper chest take on a new level of pressure and discomfort. I didn’t have Covid (I test regularly here), but I went into the medical clinic at the main media center today, and they said I probably have bronchitis. They gave me a course of antibiotics and some heavy-duty cough syrup, and I’m already feeling a bit better just a few hours later. But still: No bueno.

Wahl wrote Monday on his World Cup Daily newsletter.

The Covid Blog documented that Wahl of course was definitely vaccinated, and that he was quite flamboyant when it came to promoting mask-wearing and protecting himself against Covid. The columnist “got emotional” and told everyone to get the injections “for your community, for your country, for yourself” after his second shot.

He was previously denied entrance to different venues by Qatari officials because he wore a pro-LGTBQIA+ shirt.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

In a separate post Wahl made last year he said the Covid death shots are not “getting enough credit that they should.” Whelp, looks like that’s not true, again…

A man shall eat good by the fruit of his mouth: but the soul of the transgressors shall eat violence.

Proverbs 13:2

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • The death shots get plenty of credit, by its carnage and daily death reports.

New York is going to lose a gigantic chunk of its population, mostly New York City, Buffalo, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Albany the capital.
All of America is going to have a massive population reduction, the only state I think will have the smallest death percentage will be Mississippi. Why Mississippi? Because the majority of the population is African American and they remember the satanic evil called the Tuskegee project and they’re not fools they refuse and fight against it too.

  • It would be very naive not to have anticipated at least one or two clot-shot deaths at this idolatrous soccer event, evil from the get go and costing the lives of many foreign workers who built this bread-and-circus venue.

  • There was a second sudden death of a Qatar-born American journalist at the World Cup. Their cup isn’t as our cup either….but it does look to be running over. Another example of evident truth. Who has ears to hear and eyes to see? The media isn’t about to let us hear of any Isaiah 57 or thief on the cross types & surrender to eternal life, & God’s mercy is more than commensurate with the condemnation that the lost are already under (as were all of us), & with his judgment. The true repentance of any lost soul brings his repentance of judgment as written, & in accordance with his goodness, good will and longsuffering not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. The ONLY thing the utterly perfect & holy, holy, holy God of the Godhead EVER repents of, praise the Lord.

Matthew 10:39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

Mark 8:35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.

Luke 9:24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for my sake, the same shall save it.

Luke 17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.

John 12:25 He that loveth his life shall lose it; and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal.

Liam, If you read this, I’d suggest studying the above verses in their context as you make your calling & election sure come what may, as well as what Neil laid out for you from the scriptures. It’s part of the freedom indeed that our Lord spoke of in John 8 to those who believed, conditional to their continuing in his word. Those with only the 2 Peter 2&3, Jude counterfeits do not have that peace & freedom, & no one wise & informed in the scriptures, with their senses exercised by experience, is saying that our feeble frames & infirmities won’t weary or become tempted, & our Lord is not unacquainted with our struggles & griefs, understanding we are but dust. Just admit you inability to keep the Law or live up to the standard of God’s holiness even desiring to do so with your whole heart, and trust him.

Hebrews 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
