“We retain the keys to the kingdom and control as much as any of us can control anything in this uncontrollable world.”

The following report is by Nation’s Restaurant News:

Next Level Burger, the plant-based fast-food restaurant based in Bend, Ore., has completed a funding round worth $20 million, the chain announced on Tuesday.

It means that our idea of reinventing the 21st-century burger joint into something that reflects the 21st isn’t just something we thought made sense, but some smart money agrees it means that we are very fortunate that we are in a position to fuel our growth.

But [we will] not be forced to compromise our value set in the process of growing. We retain the keys to the kingdom and control as much as any of us can control anything in this uncontrollable world.

Next Level Burger CEO and co-founder Matthew de Gruyter told Nation’s Restaurant News

The funding will help the quick-service chain reach its goal of opening 1000 units.

We’re so very appreciative of the fact that we are not just in a position where it’s a figurehead or a greenwashing sort of sentimental.

We do sustainable but at the end of the day, we’re here for the dollar bills. Dollar bills are important, but we’re here to build a legacy.

de Gruyter said

Investors include a strategic organic and natural foods partner, private high-net-worth, mission driven shareholders, and early-stage vegan investor power couple Alex Payne, formerly of Twitter and Simple Bank, and Nicole Brodeur as minority stakeholders.

Next Level Burger currently operates nine locations in Oregon, Washington, California, Colorado, Texas and New York.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

[1] Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; [2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; [3] Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.

1 Timothy 4:1-3

I don’t see this venture succeeding very well at all. Beyond Meat was dropped from their eight locations because nobody wanted them, and sales are not all that glamorous at the store either, so I think a lot of this $20 million is going to go up in smoke. Nevertheless, the push for people to stop eating real meat presses onward.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • The guy’s honest at least (not a compliment) , in straight up saying they are devil-dollar-mammon worshippers at the end of the day.

Also, pretty disorganized, his statement,,”..BUT at the end of the day, we’re here for the dollar bills. Dollar bills are important, BUT we’re here to build a legacy.”

So which is it then? The dollars or the legacy?

  • More corruption, disappearing money & food…transferring assets into crony pockets by means of magically conjured up fake money manipulations. The proud fools are blind & deceived, and think they’re ‘getting away’ with something besides making their willful rejection of truth & chosen non-election and damnation sure. Fulfilling the word they deny to a ‘t’. God’s word does not return to him void, but accomplishes God’s will. They seek to make their divisions, but it’s God doing the real dividing of sheep and goats, his legitimately adopted children and the spiritual bastards. Barring repentance: they’re not going to like their quotient, their earned & chosen lot coming to them in the end….and just think: some of them will die & spend what remains of this age & the millennium in Hell playing the ‘wish-real-hard-and-create-your-own-reality-truth’ religious craft game, or believing Rome’s pagan lie of purgatory (or some purely pagan version of it) in Hell…..only to be resurrected to the great white throne truth that no pretense can imagine or philosophize away, before being cast with Hell into the lake of fire forever.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Joh 10:7- Then said Jesus unto them again, Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:8 All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9 I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
Joh 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Joh 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.
Joh 10:12 But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.
Joh 10:13 The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for the sheep.
Joh 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.
Joh 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep.
Joh 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Joh 10:17 Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again.
Joh 10:18 No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.

Joh 10:19 ¶ There was a division therefore again among the Jews for these sayings.
Joh 10:20 And many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad; why hear ye him?
