Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

This year gold and silver and prices have risen dramatically because of the Draconian lockdowns forced upon by corrupt politicians. The strength of the American dollar, and other world currencies, have been significantly weakened and continue to lose its value everyday. Meanwhile, gold prices broke over $2000 this year. When the price of gold and silver goes up, it means that the fiat Monopoly money the nations rely on is losing its value.

More and more people are starting to stock up on gold and silver, and even other metals as well. Why are these people doing this? It is because they recognize and know the dollar will one day completely collapse and become worthless. It is no secret that inflation continually keeps increasing, but this year, it has gotten even worse, and will continue to do so in 2021. Those buying up on gold and silver believe that America, and others, will be forced to get itself back on the gold standard it once relied on.

There are usually two main schools of thought. One camp essentially still relies on the dollar. They do not think the dollar will ever go away. Even if the American dollar were to disappear, a new fiat currency will be there to replace the old cash with the new, in some of their minds. Many of these people believe there are no long-term ramifications from printing endless money. Many of them also are fully invested and locked into the stock market. Essentially, the system will not fail because, “it can’t.”

Then you have the other camp. This side fully recognizes that things are not good at all, and that is putting it lightly. They do not trust the banks to hold their money. They recognize that the dollar is continually losing its value and will eventually be replaced. Many of them realize that wall street is divorced from main street, and the stock market is being manipulated by the bigs. Knowing this, they then turn to gold and silver thinking that this will be their “savior” when the economy officially sinks like the Titanic.

I can tell you, that, if you are paying just a little bit of attention, then you would know that the first option is dead wrong. The dollar is dying and is totally inflated, along with many of the world currencies; and the dollar will continually buy less and less and will lose its supremacy and standard.

The question then is, should a Christian invest in gold and silver? Let us consult the word of God to find the answers.

[1] Go to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. [2] Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten. [3] Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.

James 5:1-3

This study is written primarily to convince those thinking about investing money into gold and silver, to convince those that have been stocking up on it to stop.

James 5 is a prophecy that is beginning to be fulfilled right now. There are more and more people who are finally waking up to the massive economic instability right now, and so they are looking for something that still holds value. So, these people, perhaps YOU are one of them, run to gold and silver as their safe haven.

The people that are buying up on gold and silver will be misery stricken in the time to come (1). Verse 3 is interesting because, if you know anything about gold and silver, you know gold and silver are precious metals because they cannot rust or decay. And yet the verse says that the gold and silver is cankered. The verse continues by saying it will “be a witness against you.” If you are relying on gold and silver to be your deliverer, it will blow up in your face because that gold and silver will be WORTHLESS in the future. The next clause in that verse says “[you] shall eat your flesh as it were fire.” This is referring to the extreme poverty that will come upon those that waste their money on gold and silver to get them through the “hard times a-coming.” In the Bible, there are stories where the people were so broke and famished, they began to eat themselves and each other. If it happened then, it can happen again. James 5:3 can be crossed-referenced to an Old Testament prophecy that has dual fulfillment.

[18] For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. [19] Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother. [20] And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm: [21] Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

Isaiah 9:18-21

Isaiah 9:18-21 has dual fulfillment. The first time it was fulfilled was when God allowed king Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonian empire to invade the southern tribes of Israel, Judah and Benjamin. When this happened, not everyone was carried away enslaved to Babylon. Some were left behind to wallow in the destruction. This can be seen in the book of Lamentations where the mothers were forced to eat their children in order to survive; and their gold and riches could not save them!

[1] How is the gold become dim! how is the most fine gold changed! the stones of the sanctuary are poured out in the top of every street. [2] The precious sons of Zion, comparable to fine gold, how are they esteemed as earthen pitchers, the work of the hands of the potter! [3] Even the sea monsters draw out the breast, they give suck to their young ones: the daughter of my people is become cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness. [4] The tongue of the sucking child cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaketh it unto them. [5] They that did feed delicately are desolate in the streets: they that were brought up in scarlet embrace dunghills. [6] For the punishment of the iniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, that was overthrown as in a moment, and no hands stayed on her. [7] Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy in body than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire: [8] Their visage is blacker than a coal; they are not known in the streets: their skin cleaveth to their bones; it is withered, it is become like a stick. [9] They that be slain with the sword are better than they that be slain with hunger: for these pine away, stricken through for want of the fruits of the field. [10] The hands of the pitiful women have sodden their own children: they were their meat in the destruction of the daughter of my people. [11] The LORD hath accomplished his fury; he hath poured out his fierce anger, and hath kindled a fire in Zion, and it hath devoured the foundations thereof. [12] The kings of the earth, and all the inhabitants of the world, would not have believed that the adversary and the enemy should have entered into the gates of Jerusalem.

Lamentations 4:1-12

The second time Isaiah 9:18-21 is fulfilled is being described in James 5. The “rich men” will be “weeping and howling” and forced to eat themselves and each other because they trusted in uncertain riches.

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

1 Timothy 6:17

Now perhaps you are reading this and wondering, “I thought gold and silver was biblical money, “God’s money: it never loses its value.” Well, it is true that gold and silver in the Bible certainly is a measure of wealth; and those that had an abundance of it were wealthy indeed. But as you have seen in James 5, Isaiah 9, and Lamentations 4, gold and silver will not deliver you when “crap hits the fan.”

Not only that, take a look at what the future economic system will be:

[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:16-18

The coming antichrist, that the world worship as God, will be operating with a DIGITAL currency that will be IMPLANTABLE in the right hand or in/upon the forehead (Rev 20:4). This is the reason why gold and silver will be useless in terms of any kind of monetary value.

If you have been a paying attention and not living under a rock, at some point in time this year, many stores and restaurants were turning away customers that were paying with cash. Instead they were only accepting card payments. This is happening all across the globe.

This was part of the Draconian-Covid propaganda that was being preached in the early days of the “pandemic.” They were preaching fear that the virus and other germs can transfer on cash, and stay there for long periods of time. Therefore, this gave justification for stores, restaurants, and other businesses to deny cash transactions. This was a cover of one of The Trends Journals’ published in late March. As Gerald Celente, the found of The Trends Journal, has repeated many times the basic phrase: “From Dirty Cash To Digital Trash.”

With all that being said, it is clear that the continued trend is to go digital with crypto-currency; not hard assets like gold and silver. The new question arises then, “should I invest in crypto’s and buy up those?” Again, just like gold and silver, I would be willing to include things like Bitcoin in with gold and silver. Just as 1 Timothy 6:17 says, a Christian is not trust in uncertain riches, and charge those that do. This would include cash of any kind, the stock market, gold and silver and precious stones, cryptos, etc.

Perhaps you are reading this, and you are putting your faith in the almighty dollar, or stacking up gold bricks and silver coins in your safe in your basement. That is unwise. Same with stuff like Bitcoin. That stuff can become worthless overnight with a few key strokes. I am not expert in the field by any means, but I am smart enough to realize if the banksters want to create a new currency out of thin air, and drop the old ones, they’ll do it.

Here is what you should work towards investing in:

And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels.

Genesis 12:16

Abram (Abraham) was rich in physical assets that helped keep him and others alive. Now it is true that Abraham was also rich in gold and silver (Gen 13:2), but Abraham was wealthy in many other things too, so he could sustain himself. When you are rich in things like livestock and servants, you can provide for yourself, and sell many of the things that are produced.

I am not a financial advisor, so I am not telling you what to do: I am just explaining what the Bible teaches. If it were me, and I was holding onto gold and silver (which I do not), I would either hold onto it and let it increase its value, and then sell it; or just sell right now. Then take the cash, pay off any debts that I might have (I have none). So then, I would trade that gold and silver for some brass, if you know what I mean, and then make sure I have the things I need to stay alive. Have plenty of food and water. Have clean and warm clothing. Invest in becoming more interdependent and self-reliant. That will be KEY in the times to come, as going to the stores will be guaranteed to become more and more of a pain. Inflation will continually get worse, and stores may deny you access for not face-masking, getting the covid shot, or anything else they want to toss in there. Food lines WILL be growing, and shelves will be becoming more and more scarce. It is hard as is to get ammunition now; more so then ever before heading into 2021, and years to come.

[10] Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. [11] For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. [12] I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. [18] Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. [19] My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. [20] I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: [21] That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. [34] Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. [35] For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. [36] But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

Proverbs 8:10-12, 18-21, 34-36.

Wisdom is the subject of this chapter of Proverbs, it is personified as a woman. Getting wisdom is far more valuable than physical riches. That is why the book of Proverbs says in another place,Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding” (23:23). By getting the truth, it will help you discern to what is going on. It will guide you, not just in every day life, but the times to come in order to survive. It will help you from making foolish and brash decisions, like wasting money in actual gold that will not help you whatsoever. If you choose to hate and reject wisdom and instruction, it will guarantee death (see above verses).

So to restate the question, should a Christian invest in gold and silver? The answer is NO. Do not be fooled: seek after wisdom. I can GUARANTEE you that gold, silver, (and other precious metals like palladium, platinum, iridium, rhodium, nickel, copper, tin, etc) will increase in value and price in 2021, and more years to come. This will be alluring, especially with the dollar continuing to lose its buying and spending power; along with other currencies as well. But also do not get suckered into trusting in cash. That is going on the wayside VERY soon. I do think it is wise to hold onto your cash, ESPECIALLY out of a bank; but I am beseeching you to not have confidence in it. I do not care what the mainstream economists say: THE DOLLAR IS GOING TO DISAPPEAR. Please also do not waste money on bitcoin. That will not be the end game either as well. Pay off your debts as best and as fast as you can. You are a servant to whoever you are indebted to (Pro 22:7). Focus on getting assets that will allow to be self-sufficient, that are reliable, and help you to survive.

If you are reading this, and you are a major advocate for gold and silver, I hope this has awakend you to the truth of God’s word. You do what you want, but I can promise you that those gold coins you’ve been stacking up – are nothing more than glorified Chuck-E-Cheese Tokens! They WILL lead to your poverty, misery, and death (Jam 5:3; Pro 8:36). Take it from the wisest and richest man to have ever lived (outside of Jesus Christ), king Solomon.

[14] Now the weight of gold that came to Solomon in one year was six hundred threescore and six talents of gold, [15] Beside that he had of the merchantmen, and of the traffick of the spice merchants, and of all the kings of Arabia, and of the governors of the country. [16] And king Solomon made two hundred targets of beaten gold: six hundred shekels of gold went to one target. [17] And he made three hundred shields of beaten gold; three pound of gold went to one shield: and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon. [18] Moreover the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid it with the best gold. [19] The throne had six steps, and the top of the throne was round behind: and there were stays on either side on the place of the seat, and two lions stood beside the stays. [20] And twelve lions stood there on the one side and on the other upon the six steps: there was not the like made in any kingdom. [21] And all king Solomon’s drinking vessels were of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon were of pure gold; none were of silver: it was nothing accounted of in the days of Solomon.

1 Kings 10:14-21. Compare the amount of gold Solomon received with Revelation 13:16-18.
[1] I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity. [2] I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it? [3] I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life. [4] I made me great works; I builded me houses; I planted me vineyards: [5] I made me gardens and orchards, and I planted trees in them of all kind of fruits: [6] I made me pools of water, to water therewith the wood that bringeth forth trees: [7] I got me servants and maidens, and had servants born in my house; also I had great possessions of great and small cattle above all that were in Jerusalem before me: [8] I gathered me also silver and gold, and the peculiar treasure of kings and of the provinces: I gat me men singers and women singers, and the delights of the sons of men, as musical instruments, and that of all sorts. [9] So I was great, and increased more than all that were before me in Jerusalem: also my wisdom remained with me. [10] And whatsoever mine eyes desired I kept not from them, I withheld not my heart from any joy; for my heart rejoiced in all my labour: and this was my portion of all my labour. [11] Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun. [12] And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been already done. [13] Then I saw that wisdom excelleth folly, as far as light excelleth darkness. [14] The wise man’s eyes are in his head; but the fool walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all. [15] Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the fool, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity. [16] For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool. [17] Therefore I hated life; because the work that is wrought under the sun is grievous unto me: for all is vanity and vexation of spirit. [18] Yea, I hated all my labour which I had taken under the sun: because I should leave it unto the man that shall be after me. [19] And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity.

  • Your counsel is wrong, and even evil. You are definitely misguided.

For you to quote James 5:1-3 without giving the context that comes from verses 4 thru 6, shows what a blind guide you are.

James 5:4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts.
James 5:5 You have lived on the earth in luxury and in pleasure; you have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter.
James 5:6 You have condemned, you have killed the righteous man; he does not resist you.

These particular people were committing crimes and sins against the poor. This is not a condemnation on having silver or gold, but condemnation on the wicked activities of those who “worship” money and abuse their employees.

I could write much more, but this is enough. You are leading people down a dark path and when there is famine in the land, and the foolish did not prepare for it, you can congratulate yourself for helping further the misery that people will experience.

    • Proverbs 11:4 Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.
Have you considered the other scriptures I provided. What say you to those? I hope you have not put all your eggs in basket thinking that will somehow save you from a collapse.
