Their data is compiled by many studies and accounts from police forces, news media, Jewish organizations, internationally.
According to the report’s findings, the number of anti-Semitic incidents especially increased in nations like the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Germany, and Australia. Compared to metrics from 2019, the increase was notable.
Two of the major contributing factors the university says that led to this rise in hate towards the Jews, were because of the Israel-Hamas Conflict and battles across the Gaza Strip, exposing “an unacceptable reality: when Israel defends itself, Jews across the world are attacked;” and secondly the Jewish people being blamed for starting and fueling the Covid-19 pandemonium, ‘reminiscent of centuries-old blood libels,’ and the masses fixated to their phones and exposed internet propaganda that pushed Jew-hate on social media.
Additionally, the study pointed out that these two points, among others, have been propagated by both the radical Left and Right personas and movements.
Here are some of the key findings from that study:
- 251 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in the U.S., in only three weeks during the riots around the Israel-Hamas conflict in May. According to the annual survey of the American Jewish Committee (AJC), 2.6% of American Jews said they had been the victims of anti-Semitic physical attacks in the past five years. The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) recorded a 27% increase from 2020 and a 113% increase from 2019 in incidents of white supremacist anti-Semitic propaganda.
- In France, 589 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in 2021, a 74% increase from 2020 and a 14% decrease from 2019.
- In May 2021, B’nai Brith Canada reported 61 assaults against Jews in Canada. Altogether 226 incidents were recorded that month – a 54% increase from the same period in 2020.
- In the U.K., 2,255 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in 2021, an increase of 34% from 2020. A sharp rise of 78% compared to 2020 was recorded in physical assaults against Jews.
- German Police recorded 3,028 anti-Semitic incidents during 2021 – an increase of 29% from 2020, and 49% from 2019. Another worrying phenomenon registered in 2021: German anti-vaxxers likened their situation to that of the Jews in the Holocaust. The authors of the Report argue that this has led to trivialization of the Holocaust.
- 447 anti-Semitic incidents were recorded in Australia in 2021 – an increase of 35% from 2020 and 21.5% from 2019. The highest monthly total ever was recorded in May – 88 incidents.
In recent years, the fight against antisemitism has enjoyed extensive resources worldwide, and yet, despite many important programs and initiatives, the number of anti-Semitic incidents—including violent assaults—is rapidly escalating.
The Jewish world must pull itself together and understand that the fight against antisemitism and the fight for liberal democratic values are one and the same.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY
[15] But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee: [36] The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. [37] And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee. [64] And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. [65] And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: [66] And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: [67] In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.Deuteronomy 28:15, 36-37, 64-67
I suggest you read that entire chapter to see all the very specific curses and damnation the Lord would send upon his chosen people and nation, if they rejected him. They have, and these warnings and promises have been kept. Hence, why the history of the Jewish people has been extremely bloody and gory.
And so, it should come as no surprise to the student of scripture that the hatred towards the Hebrews is only increasing, as the Gentile nations and church continually boast against the blessings of God, because they were grafted into the root that is Israel, thereby inheriting those same promises: as the church has NOT replaced Israel. Romans 11 clears this up nicely. As the church falls and is judged, the Lord will return focus on Israel and restore them.
[25] For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. [26] And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: [27] For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins. [28] As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers’ sakes.Romans 11:25-28
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

And then there are the Christians, according to Open Doors:
In just the last year*, there have been:
Over 360 million Christians living in places where they experience high levels of persecution and discrimination
5,898 Christians killed for their faith
5,110 churches and other Christian buildings attacked
4,765 believers detained without trial, arrested, sentenced or imprisoned
Much prayer is needed for both the Jewish people (and Israel!), for their protection and that they come to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and for the persecuted Christians.
