Yesterday Taiwan’s defense ministry reported that 18 Chinese PLA Air Force jets breached Taiwan’s air defense identification zone, which is being herald as the largest violation in over three months.
China buzzes Taiwan with largest contingent of fighter jets and bombers in more than 3 months one day after Japanese PM visits 10 Downing Street and ahead of Biden’s trip to East Asia later this month.
Lucas Tomlinson, a Pentagon correspondant to Fox News, said
Reuters noted in their report, Taiwan is in “a heighten state of alert due to fears China could use Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to make a similar military move on the island, though Taipei’s government has not reported any signs Beijing is about to attack.”
However, Reuters noted that China has sent larger incursion forces previously – 39 jets on January 23rd.
Zerohedge concludes, ‘Since then, many Western officials have expressed fear of an emerging scenario where Moscow and Beijing increasingly act in concert. This also as China has frustrated Washington in its refusal to condemn the Russian aggression in Ukraine.’

As The WP has been reporting, even though it seems like a lot of this is more hype, this was and is the situation with Russia-Ukraine: and yet we see what all that has caused.
As it stands, I tend to think China will eventually “invade,” and the global fallout, namely against the U.S., will be catastrophic.
