The TikTok craze has gotten so out of hand that now adolescents, specifically girls, are developing tics and twitches because they are so addicted to the app, endlessly posting and watching short clips of each other.

The Wall Street Journal writes:

‘Teenage girls across the globe have been showing up at doctors’ offices with tics—physical jerking movements and verbal outbursts—since the start of the pandemic.’

‘Movement-disorder doctors were stumped at first. Girls with tics are rare, and these teens had an unusually high number of them, which had developed suddenly. After months of studying the patients and consulting with one another, experts at top pediatric hospitals in the U.S., Canada, Australia and the U.K. discovered that most of the girls had something in common: TikTok.’

‘According to a spate of recent medical journal articles, doctors say the girls had been watching videos of TikTok influencers who said they had Tourette syndrome, a nervous-system disorder that causes people to make repetitive, involuntary movements or sounds.’

There are some kids who watch social media and develop tics and some who don’t have any access to social media and develop tics. I think there are a lot of contributing factors, including anxiety, depression and stress.

You can read the remainder of the report for yourself, but it follows the story of 17-year-old girl in Texas who consistently watched TikTok, and eventually developed these tics and twitches like so many others.

And while the report does explain that there are other factors at play, the fact that a consensus has been reached that TikTok plays a big part in these tics is to be noted.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

I mention this brief report because the Gen-Z’ers are utterly consumed with this TikTok garbage. If you have never seen what goes on this social media platform (and others), it is so dark, deviant, and just totally confusing. I do not have a TikTok, but I’ll see other content creators compile some of these clips on YouTube, and it is so disgusting I cannot even repeat some of the things I have seen go on there.

[11] There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother. [12] There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. [13] There is a generation, O how lofty are their eyes! and their eyelids are lifted up. [14] There is a generation, whose teeth are as swords, and their jaw teeth as knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men.

Proverbs 30:11-14

These last four generations (Baby Boomers, Gen X’ers, Millennials, and Gen Z’ers) are easily the most wicked and abominable we have seen, and the above passage fits the bill to a ‘T,’ as to all that we are witnessing play out.

At that the end of the day, be very cautious of not just social media, but the internet and technology in general. Do NOT let it become an idol and an artificial necessity. And if you have children, keep a very watchful eye on them, because it is not hard at all for them to get royally messed very quickly these days.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Great verses brother. Very timely. Praise the Lord and his word.

    John 12:46-48
46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. 47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: THE WORD that I have spoken, THE SAME SHALL JUDGE him in the last day.

  • I only watch a few videos on TikTok but that’s it; these challenges and trends and whatnot, I don’t touch them with a 10-foot pole.

This is a tactic done by CHINA to help further deteriorate America, because TikTok is owned by China. It’s all part of God’s judgement.

  • I talked to some underclassman that watch tiktok every day: They have a compulsive reaction to bust down a dance move when feeling anxious. Since the presence of the Holy Spirit permeates from my body, people in my vicinity succumb to fear, thus I’ve been seeing lots of uncomfortable flashmobs.
