The former comedian, “Dancing With The Stars contestant,” and actor and co-producer of his own sitcom who played the lead role of the President of Ukraine for four seasons – President Volodymyr Zelensky made a guest appearance at last night Grammy’s award show for the best musicians.
The Hollywood Reporter said the pre-taped footage was played after John Lennon’s famous song “Free” was played, as a tribute to Ukraine.
Comedian and television actor Trevor Noah introduced the message from Zelensky, stating, “Even in the darkest times, music has the power to lift spirits and give you hope for a brighter tomorrow. There’s nobody who could use a little hope right now more than the people of Ukraine.”
Zelensky, similar to other address he has made, described the current climate of the proxy war going on, discussing some of the reported bombings and the “silence” that has created. But encouraged those at the Grammys to fill that silence by “fill[ing] the silence with your music!”
The war. What is more opposite to music? The silence of ruined cities and killed people. Our children draw swooping rockets, not shooting stars. Over 400 children have been injured and 153 children died. And we’ll never seem them drawing. Our parents are happy to wake up in the morning. In bomb shelters, but alive. Our loved ones don’t know if we will be together again. The war doesn’t let us choose who survives and who stays in eternal silence. Our musicians wear body armor instead of tuxedos. They sing to the wounded in hospitals, even to those who can’t hear them. But the music will break through anyway.
We defend our freedom. To live. To love. To sound. On our land, we are fighting Russia which brings horrible silence with its bombs. The dead silence. Fill the silence with your music! Fill it today to tell our story. Tell the truth about this war on your social networks, on TV. Support us in any way you can. Any — but not silence. And then peace will come. To all our cities the war is destroying. Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Volnovakha, Mariupol and others. They are legends already. But I have a dream of them living. And free. Free like you on the Grammy stage.

Also during the spectacle, the singer John Legend’s performance featured a chorus and backdrop of photos depicting the chaos in Ukraine.
And during that performance, poet, playwright and screen writer, Lyuba Yakimchuk, who grew up in the Donbass regions of Ukraine; read her own rewritten version of the Lord’s Prayer, saying:
Parents whose house is in the line of fire and who won’t abandon it like a tomb, [and said of our daily bread], give to the hungry. And forgive us our destroyed cities even though we do not forgive for them our enemies. Shoot and protect my husband, my parents, my child and my motherland.
‘Ahead of the Sunday night ceremony at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, the Recording Academy announced it had teamed with Global Citizen and the Stand Up For Ukraine campaign for a special segment during the live telecast. Aimed at raising awareness of the ongoing displacement of Ukrainians due to Russia’s military attacks, as well as refugees in other regions including Yemen, South Sudan and Afghanistan, the segment offered viewers ways to take action as well as contribute to the global and ongoing “Stand Up For Ukraine” campaign,’ the Hollywood Reporter added.
We are heartbroken by the situation in Ukraine, yet still moved by the resilient spirit on display there every day. We hope the segment inspires our worldwide audience to get involved to support these critical humanitarian efforts.

Zelesnky is continuing his fifth season of his show as playing pretend President, continuing to fuel the propaganda machine; by pandering and coddling to the zombie masses who believe the media shenanigans, playing the role of a condescending narcissist, gaslighting a crowd of entitled, silver-spooned narcissists.
This whole war is faker than an Oscar Meyer hotdog! Before this proxy war blew up in the media, if you recall, I called foul and said their would be no invasion or hostile takeover. I eventually changed my tune, but as time passed, we all began to realize just fake everything is; and now I am pretty much reverted back to my previous stance. Russian forces are indeed in the Donbass regions, but all this other stuff the media says is total garbage. If you recall other WinePress reports on the topic, you may recall that one man who lives in the Donbass region said the corrupt Ukrainian government is using the people as human shields, and the Russians are taking their time to carefully takedown the Ukrainian forces and opposition; as Neo-Nazi groups and anarchists lay siege on their own people. To the same end, this proxy war is prolonged and milked as long as it can be, to generate all the famine and alliance realignments needed to take place.
Will Russia eventually takeover Ukraine and overthrow that government? Probably, but it will be stretched out for as long as it’s worth.
