In another move to make the organization more inclusive and diverse, the National Football League (NFL) is now mandating that all 32 teams hire a woman or “ethnic minority” as an offensive coach for the 2022 season beginning this fall.
These coaches will be paid via a league-wide fund. ESPN reports that these new coaches must work closely together with the head coach and the rest of staff for the offensive side of the ball. The goal is to increase ‘minority participation in the pool of offensive coaches that eventually produces the most sought-after candidates for head-coaching positions,’ the sports outlet explained.
It’s a recognition that at the moment, when you look at stepping stones for a head coach, they are the coordinator positions. We clearly have a trend where coaches are coming from the offensive side of the ball in recent years, and we clearly do not have as many minorities in the offensive coordinator [job].

Currently there are only five head coaches in the NFL that are considered minority, and the League’s Commissioner Roger Goodell says he and the league “fell short” of their goals to hire more minorities during the 2022 coaching and hiring portals, but will now double their efforts to bring in more inclusivity to the organization.
The truth of the matter is that as of today, at least, there aren’t many women in the pool in terms of head coach. We hope that is going to change over the years, but for that reason we didn’t see it as inhibiting the number of interviews for racial minorities at this point in time. Obviously, we can address that as time goes on, but for now we didn’t see that as an issue.
Really, we are looking at probably the early stages of women entering the coaching ranks, so we may be a little ways away before that becomes a problem.

Currently these new rules changes do not affect the defensive staff.
ESPN concludes their report, noting, ‘A league-record 15 minorities are among the NFL’s defensive coordinators for 2022, according to league data. Overall, minority coaches now make up 39% of the league total, up from 35% in 2021. There are also a league-record 12 women on coaching staffs.’

I believe that the Lord is using this to finally destroy their idols-in particular, football and sports. The hireling that took over after Ken Robinson was knocked off of his pedestal and retired, Oscar Sacriste, he just LOVES football, he can’t go five minutes without mentioning it it’s like an oral fixation of it! It’s also showing that watching football doesn’t make you a man or “manly” that is downright absurd! I’m a man and I’d rather slam my head in a car door than watch a bunch of meat heads run around chasing a pigskin around a 100-yard field, knocking each other over, smack each other’s butts, and following a bunch of strategies that would make a physicist facepalm with overwhelm.
Lol… Andrew pre-empts me again. I saw this & thought: I don’t know what NF stands for, but ‘L’ is clearly for ‘loser’ and has been for some time with us. We turned away decades ago now, though freely & admittedly even before truly understanding biblically what was going on, still very much with worldly self-righteousness lingering, tho I didn’t recognize that at the time with the bendable playdough bibles.
