China is now facing yet another rise in reported cases of Covid-19, and the nation is defaulting again to their “zero-Covid” policy, resulting in tight mandates and lockdowns.
ABC News reported on Monday that roughly 51 million Chinese people were under lockdown. Five provinces are under these tight lockdowns: Changchun, Jilin, Shenzhen, Dongguan, and Langfang.
With more lockdowns setting in again, some have wondered how much this will effect supply chains.
It seems the lockdowns will be shorter this time with more tracking, which means a short disruption of work and production. If it ends up lasting for weeks it’s another issue, including inflation risks.
Professor Heiwai Tang at Hong Kong University told ABC News
ZeroHedge wrote yesterday, ‘China’s zero-tolerance policy has reminded us that supply chains are still subjected to massive disruptions. The lockdowns couldn’t come at a worse time, as spring tends to be one of the busiest shipping seasons of the year.’
The Trends Journal reports that one of the plants effected by the new lockdown measures assembles iPhones, for example, so the tech sector may see yet another squeeze. And ZeroHedge notes that other technology components and features for some vehicles are also effected, along with parts needed for TVs and such.
Every day when I go to work, I worry that if our office building will suddenly be locked down then I won’t be able to get home, so I have bought a sleeping bag and stored some fast food in the office in advance, just in case.
Yimeng Li, a resident in Shanghai, where there were only 41 new cases reported on Sunday.
I have a bad feeling again—China is reinstating measures & has fired the mayors of two key cities. Thus far, China has shut down an industrial city, urged residents not to leave Beijing and closed down schools in Shanghai due to increase of #COVID19.
Dr. Eric Feigl-Ding, an epidemiologist and health economist, said on social media
And besides the animosity surrounding even more supply chain hiccups, ‘disruptions to exports may induce shortages and drive up inflation,’ ZeroHedge adds, with some provinces that are now under tight lockdowns, made up 23% of China’s shipments in 2021.
Gerald Celente for the Trends Journal forecasts,
Therefore, should these strict lockdown mandates continue, not only will China’s economy continue to decline, there will be more supply chain disruptions which will push inflation higher.
Also, with fear of a new virus variant spreading, it may entice Western nations to again follow China’s lead in fighting the COVID war by imposing new rounds of mandates and vaccine requirements.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Regulars of The WinePress know that these cases are literally just made-up out of thin air, and the reasons people are getting sick are for a multitude of reasons – not to mention the fact that their number of cases are so infinitesimal, relative to the entire population of China.
These shutdowns are again clearly deliberate, in my view, to further rattle the supply chains around the world. The Absolute Zero agenda goals specifically layout that all shipping must come to an end by 2030 and beyond. But, we do see ships and goods exporters/importers in the book of Revelation, so it will not go away completely. Nevertheless, more and more shipping will be stymied to purposefully usher in these goals.
As for inflation fears, this will only be supplementary to the problem: central banks, namely the Federal Reserve in the U.S., printing money to the moon and beyond while snatching up everyone else’s debts and liabilities.
Ultimately, these shortages should not affect you and I really at all; but to the general populous, very much so, and will continue to beg and do whatever they need to get their tech fix, or for whatever it is.
To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress.
Proverbs 28:21
In this instance, personify any technology, commodity, etc., and you will see that people will go nuts when their devices are taken away.
Be that it is may, prepare and expect more lockdowns to come your way…
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Small error at the end of your commentary , be that as it may …. spell check wouldn’t pick up on it.
