The following report is from Smart Cities World:
The Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Navya to support the implementation of autonomous vehicles in the kingdom.
The projects relate to the deployment of self-driving electric and shared shuttles for the transportation of people, together with electric tow tractors for the transportation of goods at airports and industrial sites.
Large-Scale Deployment
The agreement aims to implement pilot projects, validating use-cases, defining regulation, and building up local competencies in order to prepare and speed up the large-scale deployment of fleets of level 4 autonomous vehicles over the whole of the Arabian Peninsula. Saudi Arabia claims it will help support it to become one of the first markets in the world to deploy large shuttle fleets on its territory.
The carbon-free, shared fleets will play an essential role in the building of cities of the future, providing clean air and a better quality of life, in accordance with the Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, a strategic framework to reduce dependence on oil.
Navya, a provider of autonomous mobility systems and associated services, reports its share of the autonomous mobility market for people stands at 75 percent in the Gulf Cooperation Countries, including six shuttles in operation in the kingdom.
The Ministry of Transport and Logistic Services has a commitment to enable the adoption of new mobility and technologies across all modes, as part the Sector National Strategy to be a futuristic sector and a model of seamless mobility.
Such a collaboration with Navya, will allow for leading companies to support Saudi in ensuring the right and timely regulatory frameworks are in place to allow for wide-scale adoption in the future and early piloting of autonomous and connected transportation across the kingdom. Which will be essential to drive investments in the Saudi transport and logistics sector in new technologies and improve the quality of the mobility in Saudi cities.
Said Dr Mansour Alturki, Saudi deputy minister of planning and information.
According to Navya, the final agreement, together with the support provided by Saudi Arabia, will enable it to take its research and development to a higher level with the development of new first- and last-mile use cases in town centres, smart cities, airports, theme parks and industrial sites.
We look forward to the start of a fruitful collaboration with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to speed up the deployment of new fleets for people and goods and to contribute to the building of an autonomous and shared future.
Ecological and connected transportation will not only advance mobility, but also benefit the whole community. The agreement will bring us closer to achieving our vision of the mobility of the future on a large scale.
Added Sophie Desormière, CEO of Navya.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
In our report about Agenda 2030, the World Economic Forum wrote:
First communication became digitized and free to everyone. Then, when clean energy became free, things started to move quickly. Transportation dropped dramatically in price. It made no sense for us to own cars anymore, because we could call a driverless vehicle or a flying car for longer journeys within minutes. We started transporting ourselves in a much more organized and coordinated way when public transport became easier, quicker and more convenient than the car. Now I can hardly believe that we accepted congestion and traffic jams, not to mention the air pollution from combustion engines. What were we thinking?
While the flying car notion is far-fetched, and I believe will not happen, we are now seeing yet again another example of the Agenda 2030 vision coming to pass.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

No doubt these are the goals they’re working towards. However, the very expensive battery bus trials in numerous cities in this country went bust quickly. Not sure their technology is at sufficient levels for that yet tho they just keep relentlessly pushing. They’ve made immense ‘progress’ here, with their controlled & ‘social media’, & thanks to the covid scam & plandemic flaming fear, but news still manages to get out. They may be able to cover up the failures better in Islamic & socialist regimes. Truth doesn’t fare so well in pagan tyrannical & craft-driven societies, where even outright & obvious murder & slavery are still justified & tolerated; while ours still has some lingering biblical Christian influences: bruised reeds & smoking flax here & there.

Reminds me of this, too.

Lu 4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.
Lu 4:17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Esaias. And when he had opened the book, he found the place where it was written,
Lu 4:18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Lu 4:19 To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.
Lu 4:20 And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
Lu 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.

Jesus was quoting Isaiah 61. He stopped at the comma in verse 2, the time in which we now live, closed the book & sat down. Reference Revelation 4! And he is where? Doing what! Makes my heart & soul sing, strengthens the weak knees, the hands that hang down.

We see all these terrible things. We experience the vexation, the trials…but they were foretold & sure, & the promises coming are just as sure: we must keep our eyes there, too. It helps us to be righteously angry, but not to let it cause us to sin, as we speak to one another in hymns, psalms & spiritual songs. Rehearsing the blessings which spur the praise & keep us from despair: both eyes wide open! The lighter, easier yoke of Christ: we do not bear it alone. Matthew 11KJB.

Isa 61:1 ¶ The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
Isa 61:2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
Isa 61:3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.
The amount of rare earth materials & pollution to make these things far outweighs the benefit. It’s not carbon free & never could be.
The WEF or the FEW & Saudi Arabia are speaking lies in hypocrisy.
