“Social media offers an easy way to tap into people’s behaviors. The data is voluntary and public, published for others to read.”

Imagine using the internet and you get a message that pops up alerting you that you have may have a “mental illness” of sorts, and presented with information and tips how to alleviate these “problems.”

This maybe soon a reality, after Dartmouth University recently displayed and demonstrated a new artificial intelligence (AI) system that the college researchers say can identify “mental problems” of users who use internet chatrooms and forums for discussion.

According to Joe Doran from the Trends Journal, this new AI algorithm is centered around heavily monitoring emotions ‘rather than the exact substance of the social media messages being studied in its approach.’

Xiaobo Guo, co-author of the research paper that presented their findings to 20th International Conference on Web Intelligence and Intelligent Agent Technology, says this tech was developed using posts from Reddit as inputs, which were used to possibly help identify and intervene in situations where “mental health” problems may present themselves.

Guo also noted that most people do not seek out the treatment they need due to lack of access, the stigma that comes with it, and lack thereof of sufficient payment.

This AI system being designed by Dartmouth, Guo explains, may potentially be used to “prompt” users per an alert on the screen, which may allow the user to be more receptive or disposed to reach out for help, based on the AI identified list of illnesses and issues.

‘He also said digital screening technologies might play a part in a process, where admittedly posters were not seeking help, or a medical or mental health diagnosis by their online activities on forums,’ Doran additionally notes.

Social media offers an easy way to tap into people’s behaviors. The data is voluntary and public, published for others to read.

Said Guo

Howbeit, Doran notes that the university researchers fail to point out that these people posting those “public comments” where not looking for an unauthorized mental health screening, let alone some sort of an “intervention.”

If that isn’t ominous itself, the progressive political distortion of what counts as a mental health issue, in the age of MAGA, COVID, and now the Russia and Ukraine conflict, raises the specter of even more political suppression than is already the case via technocratic and government collusion.

The suppression and smearing of dissidents as mentally disturbed is a common feature of totalitarian regimes. It’s happening more frequently in supposed Western democracies that claim to value freedom of thought and conscience.

Joe Doran points out

Furthermore, the Trends Journal has noted in previous articles that government institutions like the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have been emboldened and politicized, commenting on things that are beginning to venture away from true and into civil liberties and practices. (See: here and here).

‘During the COVID War, the government, including the CDC and Congress actively coordinated with and pressured social media platforms to suppress and censor dissident viewpoints concerning COVID policies and official narratives, under the guise of combating “health misinformation,”‘ Doran additionally observes.

Moreover, CDC Director Rochelle Walensky went on record last year going after gun rights, declaring that to also be a “health crisis.”

And with the Russian-Ukraine conflict spilling over, and world governments and corporations imposing scores of restrictions, it is not much of a stretch to assume the government, big-tech, and health institutes working in concert together, could target people who share contrary opinions to the war effort, and any suspected inclination of mercy and grace for Russia.

Doran says, “They might qualify as mentally deranged, certified by dispassionate, “scientific” AI.”

A few weeks ago ZeroHedge was in the crosshairs of the mainstream media for being alleged spreaders of “Russian propaganda,” which the Hedge denies.

The convergence of violent extremist ideologies, false or misleading narratives, and conspiracy theories have and will continue to contribute to a heightened threat of violence in the United States.

Furthermore, The WP reported last year on the move to instigate a digitized and interactive version of an IQ test, called the “digital quotient” (DQ) test per this new internet system that is to be in place by the year 2030. In it, users must demonstrate their mental aptitude to use the internet, and one of the goals is, “The ability to understand the benefits and harms of technology on one’s mental and physical health and to use technology use while prioritizing health and well-being.”

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

It is a snare to the man who devoureth that which is holy, and after vows to make inquiry.

Proverbs 20:25

While not everyone’s speech and actions are most definitely not holy, the concept of peeking and prying into even MORE of what we say and think is now under attack; and having AI – that was programmed to still think within certain perimeters no matter how much it learns – to make inquiry if you are mentally ill.

Regular readers know that I also say that these very invasive technologies always come hidden behind some hilarious ploy to solve some health issue, because it softens the masses’ brains into thinking ‘it must be a beneficial thing if it makes at least one person healthy.’

All this is is another covert way of introducing a social credit score and silencing dissenting voices. Simple put: if you don’t tow the narrative, you can get labeled as a psycho. And then taking it further to its [il]logically conclusion, if the “mentally-diseased” do not partake in the AI’s recommendations to seek mentally help, then your social credit will be docked, and then the secret police could come and kick the door in, and haul the guy off to the funny farm to be “made all better.”

[1] My son, if thou be surety for thy friend, if thou hast stricken thy hand with a stranger, [2] Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth. [3] Do this now, my son, and deliver thyself, when thou art come into the hand of thy friend; go, humble thyself, and make sure thy friend. [4] Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids. [5] Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

Proverbs 6:1-5

Clearly, our time on the internet is limited, whether it be because of this, implementation of the metaverse sooner than expected, cyber attacks, you name it. If and when some iteration of this get installed, it will be open season. If you disagree with the “climate emergency,” then get rid of him. If you speak badly about the vaccines, then remove her. If you quote a King James Bible, throw ’em in the padded room – which is not overstated by any means:

Modern science in general rejects this, but more specifically psychology and psychiatry, but SIN is never in the equation, but is the root of the problem for everyone.

[28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; [29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, [30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: [32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Romans 1:28-32

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
