Alejandro Mayorkas, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) recently revealed that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (Fema) does not have enough funding to make it through the rest of this hurricane season, a problem that has been exacerbated by the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene.

“We are meeting the immediate needs with the money that we have. We are expecting another hurricane hitting,” Mayorkas said. “Fema does not have the funds to make it through the season.”

The Guardian added:

Congress recently approved $20bn for Fema as part of a supplemental spending bill, and gave the agency power to quickly use the funds. Joe Biden has suggested calling the US Congress back from recess, which is supposed to last through the 5 November presidential election, to pass additional funding for the agency.

“That is something I may have to request, but no decision has been made yet,” he said at the White House on Monday.

A bipartisan group of senators from affected states, including senators Rick Scott and Marco Rubio of Florida, and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, also called on Congress to allocate more emergency relief funding.

“Although the true level of devastation is still unfolding, it is clear that Congress must act to meet the unmet needs in our states and address the scope and scale of destruction experienced by our constituents,” the group wrote in a Tuesday letter. “This may even require Congress to come back in October to ensure we have enough time to enact legislation before the end of this calendar year.”

The Biden-Harris White House announced a number of provisions and funding they will be providing for the victims of Hurricane Helene. The full list can be read here. Included in this list is a cash payment of $750 for the victims.

“FEMA assistance in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia can include a one-time $750 payment to help with essential items like food, water, baby formula and other emergency supplies,” the White House said in a press release.

The White House: “After registering for disaster assistance, individuals may also qualify to receive disaster-related financial assistance to repair storm-related damage to homes and replace personal property, as well as assistance to find a temporary place to stay. Homeowners and renters with damage to their home or personal property from previous disasters, whether they received FEMA funds or not, are still eligible to apply for and receive assistance for Hurricane Helene.”

But while FEMA remains underfunded and the victims of the hurricane are only getting a one-time payment of $750, the U.S. this year alone has not hesitated to provide hundreds of billions in military aid for different nations, Ukraine and Israel being the biggest ticket items.

Proverbs 28:3 A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.

Perfect description of our corrupt U.S. government.

To be clear: we should NOT dependant on thr government, the nanny state to provide for us; and yet when problems arise the people immediately turn to big-daddy government for deliverance. This is very unwise; you will be disappointed every time.

I only bring this up because IMAGINE if this warmongering country would stop funding all these wars, then we just might actually have a rainy day fund and pay off debts.

Look to yourselves, each other, and the Lord for protection and preparation; not the government.

Proverbs 21:31 The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Thank you JT for your work! I’ll be greatly prepared for these times if I stay faithful to the Lord Jesus.

Time for the judgment of God! Hold on to your KJB.

    • The dough is no mo.

FEMA and insurance is almost penniless because of all their spending for Ukraine and Israel among others.

Check out brother Bryan’s video “When God Speaks Through Tornadoes,” and one of the things he discusses is that insurance is running out of money.

The U.S. Empire is dying so much it’s in hospice on a do not resuscitate order!

      • Andrew, they are playing word games. They are asking for money for the calendar year, but the new fiscal year just started a few days ago, with all new money / budget.

      • The new fiscal year for the Federal Government begins on October 1. Riddle me this. When a new fiscal year begins each department starts with a new annual budget. How can Mayorkas claim FEMA is broke in the 1st week of the new fiscal year? He’s lying, like he has been lying for the last three years. He should be the first in line for the guillotine when the treason trials begin.

  • The issue isn’t that you have a natural disaster relief organization, the issue is that the elders in charge of the program are corrupt and the populace as a whole is too feckless…to lazy to get their hands dirty and weed out these wicked elders while replacing them with the right men for the job. That means righteous elders filled with wisdom overseeing the organization and proven youth to do the heavy lifting on the ground.

It’s the same about the government and most of it’s organizations as a whole, really. If our populace was awake and doing what they are supposed to in these manners, then our elders in charge would be righteous and our nation could return to at least a level of prosperity. The Vatican would not be able to take hold of our nation either, as we’d be awake to their election interference and be able to stop it.

  • This jerk (Mayorkas) should be tarred and feathered and run out of town. In other words, give him his walking papers asap. He’s not doing his job, but neither is any politician that’s a DemonRat, so it’s the blind leading the blind and they’ll all fall into HELL very soon.
