Just hours into the first day of October, the specter of escalating war mounts as Israel says they have been attacked by Iran in a missile strike that they say will lead to retaliatory strikes, as the United States has announced that even more troops will be sent to the Middle East and could potentially be directed to defend Israel.

Earlier this morning U.S. officials and Western media had warned that an imminent attack from Iran was very likely. This has since materialized, with The Times of Israel reporting that Iran launched 150 ballistic missiles on Israel triggering alarms to ring out across the country.

Apparently, Iranian national media has warned that if Israel retaliates then they will come back with “more crushing and ruinous” attacks.

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a statement: “We are on heightened alert on defense and offensive, we will protect the citizens of Israel. This [missile] fire will have consequences. We have plans, and we will act in the time and place that we choose,” he said.

President Joe Biden said in a statement on X: “This morning, @VP and I convened our national security team to discuss Iranian plans to launch an imminent missile attack against Israel. We discussed how the United States is prepared to help Israel defend against these attacks, and protect American personnel in the region.”

Iranian Tasnim News Agency confirmed these attacks. The outlet reported:

The [Islamic Revolution Guards Corps] IRGC said in a statement that it has targeted “the heart of the occupied territories” in response to the martyrdom of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC general Abbas Nilforoushan at the hands of the Zionist regime.

The statement said the retaliatory attack has been launched after a period of self-restraint following the violation of Iran’s sovereignty. The IRGC said it has fired tens of ballistic missiles at vital military and security Israeli targets.

The IRGC has also warned the Zionist regime that if it intends to react militarily to Iran’s operation which conforms with Tehran’s legitimate rights and the international law, it will have to face subsequent “crushing and devastating strikes”.

Reports suggest that as many as 200 Iranian missiles have been fired during half an hour. Images released by the media outlets show a large number of projectiles over Tel Aviv a number of other cities across the occupied territories.

Additionally, the Iranian mission to the United Nations has stated that Israel’s inevitable response will result in another “devastating response” from Iran.

The Iranian UN Missions described the action as “Iran’s legal, logical and legitimate response to the Zionist regime’s terrorist measures in targeting Iran’s nationals and interests and violating the Islamic Republic of Iran’s national sovereignty.”

Yesterday, when fears of an imminent attack from Iran grew, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned Iran: “There is nowhere in the Middle East Israel cannot reach. There is nowhere we will not go to protect our people and protect our country.”

The remarks come as Israel has announced plans to widen their operations in Lebanon by attacking Hezbollah. SEE: Israel Declares ‘New Phase’ Of War Against Houthis As Lebanon Says Country Is At War After Israeli Pager Bombings

Before Iran’s attack, the Department of Defense (DoD) explained on Monday some of the actions the Pentagon is taking to support Israel in a blog post. The Pentagon reported:

The Defense Department has taken steps to further enhance the defense posture of U.S. forces throughout the Middle East region to deter aggression and mitigate the risk of a broader regional conflict, the Pentagon announced over the weekend.

The announcement comes as tensions in the region have heightened following Israel’s targeted assassination of terror group Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in Lebanon on Friday.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spent the weekend providing guidance to his team and receiving updates on developments in the Middle East, according to a statement issued Sunday by Pentagon Press Secretary Air Force Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder.

“Secretary Austin stressed that the United States is determined to prevent Iran and Iranian-backed partners and proxies from exploiting the situation or expanding the conflict,” the statement reads.

Austin made clear that should Iran, its partners, or its proxies use this moment to target American personnel or interests in the region, the United States will take every necessary measure to defend our people.

the statement continues.

The measures DOD is taking include ordering the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group to remain in the U.S. Central Command area of operations past its regular rotation date; reinforcement of U.S. air defense capabilities; and using U.S. forces rotating into the region to augment rather than replace forces already there, Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh told the media today.

“Secretary Austin and department leaders remain focused on the protection of U.S. citizens and forces in the region, the defense of Israel and the de-escalation of the situation through deterrence and diplomacy,” Singh said.

Though not able to get into specific timelines and numbers due to operational security concerns, Singh said that some of the augmented forces being sent to the region include F-16, F-15E and F-22 fighter aircraft, as well as A-10 attack aircraft and associated personnel.

“The secretary also increased the readiness of additional U.S. forces to deploy, elevating our preparedness to respond to various contingencies,” Singh said.

“And DOD maintains robust and integrated air defense capabilities across the Middle East … ensuring the protection of U.S. forces in the region,” she added.

When asked whether the Defense Department has any direct knowledge of a retaliatory attack on Israel by Iran and/or Hezbollah, Singh said that, though DOD isn’t aware of any specific plans, it’s important to take all the rhetoric coming from Iran seriously.

“That’s something we’re watching incredibly closely; whether it be a response from Iran, from Hezbollah … [or] the proxy groups in Iraq and Syria,” Singh said, adding that concern about such a response is the driving force behind the decision to bolster the U.S. force posture in the region.

“We take that rhetoric very seriously,” Singh said, “and we believe that we [need to] have the capability in the region to defend our forces and — of course, if needed — to come to the defense of Israel.”

The Associated Press added: ‘The additional forces would raise the total number of troops in the region to as many as 43,000.’

Also, Newsweek reported: ‘At the White House, President Joe Biden said Monday that “I’m more aware than you might know” about reports that Israel is planning a limited ground incursion into Lebanon after nearly a year of fighting with Hezbollah, and said he wants a ceasefire immediately. Asked about the reports, Biden said, “I’m more aware than you might know, and I’m comfortable with them stopping. We should have a ceasefire now.”‘

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

Well, this is what we call an “October Surprise,” which refers to a spontaneous or deliberate event that would shakeup the elections. The media is already raving about it.

Forbes wrote: “As we head into the final weeks before Election Day, the political campaigns are likely bracing for an unexpected “October Surprise” that could influence voters and impact the results. The term was first coined by William Casey, who served as campaign manager for Ronald Reagan during the 1980 presidential campaign, yet, there have been October election-upending events going back to the 19th century.”

And then we have this U.S. port strike that will mess-up supply and raise the price of many goods. The BRICS summit is in a few weeks as well, so there is a lot more that can and probably will happen.

We will have to see what happens with Israel’s response, and if Iran really means what they say they are going to do. We do know that U.S. involvement will surely increase as Israel begins for an assault on Lebanon, and there is no question in my mind at this point that a declared “World War III” is not too far off, especially going into next year.

Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. [8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • The Bible KJV is like a play by play of what’s going on in it, it’s like God knew what mankind would do: YES He does know and He tells ya through His words. SIN, SIN, is the cause of all this and the wages of SIN is DEATH. God wouldn’t haveta send millions of people to Hell; if they would just believe in Him and what Jesus Christ did by His death, burial and resurrection to pay for mankind’s SIN.
Know we see the cause of why the world is in this shape: the majority of mankind has tossed out the Lord Jesus Christ to the scrap-bin. What a shame

    • Agree. Such a shame. They can see it with what’s going on, still they resist Jesus Christ. The other “tactic” some unbelievers do, they just choose not to know what’s going on.

  • The Iron Dome can’t catch all those missiles. It’s cited as a highly advanced deterrent, but if it’s overwhelmed, some will get through. But the US propaganda said they shot down 100 of these, obvious lie. Those missiles reportedly aren’t even hypersonic missiles yet, which apparently the US doesn’t have the military capability to effectively deter these either.

    • Correction: Reportedly, the missiles that struck Israel are ballistic missiles and some are hypersonic missiles. The Whitehouse puppet Jake Sullivan said in a statement that based on what they know at this point, the attack was “ineffective” and “defeated”, “no damage” to Israel, etc. Debunked by local footage that the MSM don’t show.

Details about the missiles aside, the point is, they’re lying to cover up the fact that US troops in Israel are in great risk, and for what? For Papal Jews, Rome and the American puppet government’s personal interests.

Aside from the recent hurricane and other events, I believe this is not even a little above the bare minimum of the judgments the Lord has lined up for the Western world before the catching up.

  • From a prophetic standpoint, one of these years the ‘October’ surprise will be on THEM.

By and large, The Feast of Trumpets is early October and that may just be when ‘we’ fly away!

    • I hope so. My belief is that we in the body of Christ as a whole still have some years left to “occupy” this world and fight. I recall this verse Jacob sent me:

Luke 19:13  And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

But like the rest of the brethren, I can’t wait to get out of this world.

Romans 8:23  And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

      Until then…

      • Lord knows – I want to go home! (and this isn’t it)

Whatever the time frame, we’re definitely in ‘the season’!

    • I pray so, Born Again, I pray so!

We got to get out of here! I want nothing more than to be in the catching up!
