Yesterday on September 2nd, Musk said in a post on X that “Colossus is the most powerful AI training system in the world,” Musk said in a post on social platform X. “Moreover, it will double in size to 200k (50k H200s) in a few months.”
Musk’s tech firm has been working with Nvidia to make Colossus possible. Nvidia Data Center reaffirmed in a post that xAI’s Colossus is “the world’s largest GPU #supercomputer” and it came online “in record time.” The tech giant added, “Colossus is powered by @nvidia’s #acceleratedcomputing platform, delivering breakthrough performance with exceptional gains in #energyefficiency.”
CEO of venture capital firm ARK Invest, Cathie Wood, also congratulated xAI on its achievement, saying it is “impressive” and noted that there are “big announcements ahead.”
An X user also pointed out how much more powerful Colossus is than compared to other competing models.
