Don’t get your financial advice from TikTok.

A trend known as the “infinite money glitch” went viral on TikTok, which reportedly showed people withdrawing massive sums of money Chase Bank ATMs, but has resulted in massive debts and frozen accounts for those who attempted to exploit the system.

Users posted videos and pictures to social media of themselves exploiting the “glitch” by committing check fraud; by depositing fake checks before they cleared, and then withdrawing money even though they did not have sufficient funds in their accounts.

Chase has apparently since fixed the issue. A number of examples of those gullible enough to try this have gone viral, depicting groups of people banding together and waiting in line in an attempt to exploit the “glitch,” while others posting their regret on social media with their accounts heavily in the red and balances that will never be repaired.

Bloom Institute of Technology CEO Austen Allred said the “glitch” was nothing more than checking fraud with a different veneer. “So the ‘Chase unlimited money glitch’ that went viral on TikTok was: Writing yourself a giant check, mobile depositing that check, going to an ATM to withdraw cash before the check cleared. Literally just committing check fraud,” he said.

Chase did not fully confirm the social media hype, but a spokesperson told Cointelegraph: “We are aware of this incident, and it has been addressed,” the spokesperson said. “Regardless of what you see online, depositing a fraudulent check and withdrawing the funds from your account is fraud, plain and simple.”

Check fraud can land you in jail for roughly 20 years.

Moral of the story: don’t get your financial advice from TikTok, or for really anything for that matter.

Proverbs 28:20 A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. [22] He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.

This is what happens when you get losers whose whole life is spending all day inside drinking G-Fuel, playing video games and trolling on Reddit. This is not a video game “glitch” where the player discovered faulty code and was able to “mine xp” to level-up really fast. This is what happens when you play Grand Theft Auto all day, and are desenitized to crimes that have real-world consequences.

Call me a tinhat conspiracist, but I have to wonder if that by TikTok algorithmically pushing this on the masses, the goal was to get dimwits to actually commit fraud; which would be another great excuse to justify why we need to have digital IDs tied to banking, and CBDCs and tokenized assets. After all, central banks and world governments keep saying the digital ID is designed to erase fraud…

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • I LOL’d when this happened in NY, I live in the Bronx and already knew that idiots would try to do this and think that it’s “free money”.

  • Wow! A bunch of fraudsters trying to manipulate what seemed like a glitch and they walked right into a trap.

Also that mentioned Grand Theft Auto, that is a huge reason why the masses are so desensitized to crime and think it’s so cool to commit every lawless deed imaginable.

    Ecclesiastes 7:29
Lo, this only have I found, that God hath made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.

I hate Grand Theft Auto, the way criminal life is glamorized by that wicked game is just so shocking, and then you get these deadheads who try to emulate it and then are shocked that there’s real world consequences. They can’t tell reality from fantasy.
