The list of foreign countries implementing a policy that imposes destructive neoliberal ideological attitudes that contradict traditional Russian spiritual and moral values is approved by the Russian Government upon submission by the Foreign Ministry.

I have been watching on occasion videos of Russia and what it’s like there, and it’s night and day in comparison to the U.S. You don’t see obese people walking around, everyone looks happy and healthy, the streets are clean, people are respectful, and so on.
Having said that, I do not claim to understand all that goes on in Russia. Western media cannot be trusted in the slightest absolute bit; but from what I have been able to gather from Russians in Russia, there are a number of people who see through the veneer that Putin and his party puts up, from their perspective anyways.
I saw a video of this one elder lady in Russia who lived through the Soviet days, and she went off on the current state of Russia and the people, saying they were once “serfs” but now they are “slaves,” and the people are totally asleep. Definitely watch it: it sounds like what you and I say fairly regularly!
I have no idea what she and others believe, but I can surmise that things are not as they seem.
In June, I reported on some of the details from the BRICS summit and their ambitions. During that meeting, leaders published a 54-point statement covering what they discussed and agreed to continue to work towards. From that report:

[…] They stressed the need to set up an ambitious New Collective Quantified goal on climate finance prior to 2025, as per the needs and priorities of developing countries.”
Moreover, “The Ministers stressed the importance of country ownership through just transitions pathways of the transition and transformation responding to climate change challenges and contributing to global effort to tackle climate change […].”
They added that their new New Development Bank should to help achieve “the [Sustainable Development Goals] SDGs and further improve efficiency and effectiveness to fulfil its mandate.”
BRICS leaders also reaffirmed “their support for Palestine’s full membership in the United Nations and reiterated their unwavering commitment to the vision of the two-state solution based on international law,” and reestablishes the “internationally recognized borders of June 1967 with East Jerusalem as its capital living side by side in peace and security with Israel.”
“They also reaffirmed their rejection of any attempt aiming at forcefully displacing, expelling or transferring the Palestinian people from their land,” BRICS leaders also noted.
Financially speaking, BRICS ministers want a reformed International Monetary Fund (IMF). “They supported a robust Global Financial Safety Net with a strong quota-based and adequately resourced International Monetary Fund (IMF) at its centre. They called on continuing the process of IMF governance reform including creating a new quota formula reflecting the economic size of its membership during the overall review of quotas.”

I have been to Russia twice on missions trip. You are sadly mistaken about its’ righteousness. Even a broken clock is right twice a day. I don’t know where you got your statistics from because feminism, and abortion are huge in Russia. In fact, Russia was one of the first country’s in the world to allow and pay for abortion. I have Christian friends that I talk to in Russia every week and things are not what they seem. The propaganda machine has never stopped even after communism supposedly fell.
The remnant of believers in Russia are under constant attack. Putin sneaked in some laws which make Christian persecution easy. Only the Russian Orthodox Church is immune since they made a deal with Putin. The general public does not know everything going on and they will be imprisoned for going against almost anything their dictator says.
As for Christmas, New Year’s Eve celebration in Russia are much bigger than their Christmas celebration. Why? The answer is because when their communist dictators early in the revolution were trying to wean the Russian people off of Christian holidays, they were having a little trouble with Christmas. Their solution was to transfer the largesse and traditions over to New Year’s and push that. It worked. They were able to switch people thinking about the birth of Jesus on Christmas to thinking about the Russia Dictator’s words on New Year’s. Today in Russia, the whole country get’s together and huddles by their tv to hear the precious words of Vladimir Putin on that most pagan of holidays.
