Some Michiganders can now pay for their goods with just their eyes, courtesy of Polish fintech company “PayEye.” The goal of the company is to help move the public away from traditional cash payments into a more ‘convenient’ way to pay.
So far only a handful are in use in East Lansing and Ann Arbor. They have been in use in Poland since 2020. The PayEye app can also be used to make purchases online and scan QR codes for transactions. SEE: Polish Biometric Eye Scanner Earns FIDO Biometric Component Certification To Spot Fake Identities
Gary Burtka, the President of North American Operations for PayEye, explained the process in an interview with WILX 10,
We’re actually turning that into binary code, and that’s being double encrypted and sent across the network. So it’s making it very safe very fast and very easy.
Anil Jain, a Michigan State University Professor of Computer Science, was the first person to make a payment with this technology in the U.S. and shared his joy for this fintech innovation.
What I was impressed with, is the ease of capturing iris. Number two, the time it takes, the small amount of time it takes to make the payment.
So at the payment time, you don’t have to take anything out of your pocket. No mobile phone, no credit card, you simply look at the camera on the payment terminal, and you’re done.
I think this is very impressive technology, and this is the wave of the future.
He said
WILX 10 followed up his remarks, stating: ‘Making the key to the soul, the key to your wallet.’
Last year PayEye partnered with Visa, allowing users to link their Visa accounts to the app, and customers would earn special rewards for doing so.
This June, PayEye partnered with Mastercard to begin a pilot program in select locations in Poland, becoming “the first payment pilot in Europe biometrics under the Mastercard Biometric Checkout program,” the company says.
PayEye added: ‘The global Mastercard Biometric Checkout program introduces the first in its the type of technological framework to help set standards for new ones
ways of paying, enabling payment card holders to benefit from a wide range
ranges of biometric payment authentication methods such as fingerprint, hand scan,
face or iris.’
Mastercard is a pioneer of innovative and security-enhancing payment methods and standardization. Poland, however, is an ideal place for such a breakthrough pilot program. It was our country that was one of the first to stay in introduced contactless payments with Mastercard cards, and Polish consumers are leaders in openness to innovation.
The pilot we initiate today with Empik and PayEye is also confirming Mastercard’s commitment to the development of local technologies and supporting the Polish electronic payment market. We believe that biometrics can provide consumers with best-in-class experience, balancing convenience and security, and we are looking forward to scaling our program here in Poland.
Marta Życińska, general director of the Polish branch of Mastercard, said
Some, however, are skeptical of this technology.
Political activist Peter Sweden told Australia’s ADH TV: “They’re setting up the system so they can control really everything that goes on. It’s just a form of Communism.” He also said that “Stalin would have loved” this technology.
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
“I think this is very impressive technology, and this is the wave of the future.” -Indeed; and I giggle every once in a while when these secular people are confirming prophecies in the Bible, but if you show them said prophecies they’d call you crazy!
Revelation 13:16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
However, I would argue that in order for PayEye and other technologies like it to have wider adoption the digital ID system needs to be in place, and that his happening quite rapidly; with Australia becoming the latest country to go live with them whilst vastly accelerating their transition into becoming a functionally cashless society.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Because reaching for your wallet is SO inconvenient!
When more people knew the Bible – and BELIEVED it, this technology would have never come to fruition because they would not have found enough people to execute it!
Some will awake when the mark is forced upon them
How long before some scammer invents a way to duplicate someone else’s iris or retina pattern and then wear this item like a contact lens? They would then be able to buy food, etc. and the money would come out of the victim’s bank account. How? The computer database the eye scanner is connected to has all the files needed to replicate the victim’s eye patterns. Hope everyone who loves this technology gets hacked.
I sure hope we are gone soon and don’t have to TRY and avoid this Antichrist step. The AC is not going to have to do much when he gets here. It’s all being set up for him to implement it. SOON, I hope. People are just going to love all these “modern” conveniences for them with no way to steal their credit card, but usually sinister people find a way. Please come soon, Lord and take us Home. We are tired of this corrupt, evil world.
