New reports suggest that Israel, in the midst of its persistent operations in Gaza, is soon planning to officially go to war against Hezbollah in an invasion of Lebanon.

According to The Times of Israel on June 8th, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) reported that that they failed to intercept a drone strike after their sirens did not sound, which they most likely attribute to being from Hezbollah.

Separately, The TOI noted: ‘On Friday evening, the military said two rockets launched from Lebanon struck open areas near Matat, setting off sirens in the border community. Sirens a short while earlier in the Western Galilee warning of a suspected drone infiltration were a false alarm, the IDF said.’

The paper added: ‘Meanwhile, the IDF said Israeli fighter jets struck a Hezbollah rocket launcher and other infrastructure in southern Lebanon on Friday. Troops also shelled several locations with artillery and mortars to “remove threats,” the military added. Earlier Friday, the IDF said Israeli fighter jets struck buildings used by Hezbollah in southern Lebanon’s Jabal Rezlane, and in the towns of Ramyeh and Kafr Kila overnight.’

Israel now appears to be ramping up forces at its northern border to attack Hezbollah head-on. The Week reported:

“As Hezbollah escalates, Israel must fight back,” Richard Goldberg said in The New York Post. More than 100,000 civilians have been evacuated from the northern Israel region bordering Lebanon, and cannot return safely “without security guarantees” that will not be satisfied by a “phony” cease-fire deal. The Biden administration should cease its efforts to restrain Israel as it fights back against its Iran-backed enemies, said Goldberg. “Americans would never surrender to a Hezbollah-like terror threat on our own border,” he added. “Biden should not demand that of Israel, either.”

“Israel is about to make a disastrous mistake in Lebanon,” Joel D. Parker said in Haaretz. Israel leaders have performed miserably in the war against Hamas, stumbling diplomatically and creating a humanitarian crisis in Gaza that has prompted criticism even from close allies like the United States. Similar images from a war in Lebanon would invite a “global backlash” and even a censure from the United Nations. “It’s essential that … Israel does not repeat the mistakes it is making fighting the Gaza War,” Parker said. A war against Hezbollah might be justified, but “Israel needs to think hard about the pitfalls before it jumps into them headfirst.”

“Despite the escalation, analysts say that both sides realize a full-scale war would pose significant risks,” said The New York Times. Lebanon is reeling from the effects of a “historic economic collapse” that would be compounded by an invasion. And nobody wants a wider regional war. But Netanyahu is under pressure from right-wing allies in the Israeli government to launch an attack. The Biden administration is trying to bring both sides to negotiations, “but Hezbollah says it will not negotiate until the war in Gaza ends.”

Today The Jerusalem Post cited a senior IDF official who said: “The soldiers and units arrive with high combat readiness and capability due to their experience gained in Gaza combat.”

Battalion Commander of the artillery center also said that the artillery corps of Brigade 36 completed its preparation for war in Lebanon. “We are essentially part of Artillery Brigade 282, expected to support Brigade 36 if there’s a flare-up in the northern sector. We are tasked with providing fire support, whether it’s aerial, or artillery, to ensure the operation runs smoothly for our forces.”

There are operational considerations regarding timing and targets. We’re significantly impacting their side in combat, hitting either individuals or significant terrorist infrastructure. They’re trying to maintain a façade of inflicting harm without revealing their cards all at once.

He added

The Northern Command also said in a statement:

Gaza remains the main area of focus for the IDF. As attacks continue, a political decision will determine whether to expand operations in the north, potentially increasing the scope and intensity of our strikes accordingly.

We’re still in intense combat but within the framework of what the political escalation allows. The same exercise we conducted last month aimed to practice promotion within the ranks.

Moreover, The Jewish News Syndicate quoted Home Front Command head Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, who stated at the MuniWorld Conference in Tel Aviv: “If the IDF needs to go to war in the north, we are ready. We have made great efforts to achieve this in recent months.”

But Moshe Davidovich, head of the Mateh Asher Regional Council in the western Galilee, told the conference that border towns are “neither prepared nor protected” if the conflict widens. “The Israeli government has failed in all matters of preparedness regarding the defense of the conflict line [with Lebanon],” he stated.

And yet last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is “prepared for very intense action in the north” to restore “security” and return displaced citizens to their homes near the border. “We said at the start of the war that we would restore security in both the south and the north, and this is what we are doing,” he said.

Israel’s economy is already being greatly strained because of the war effort in Gaza, and after it won’t be better as the world has really soured its opinions on Israel. It must also be remembered that before the war began Netanyahu was on the hook for a number of corruption charges that would land him in prison indefinitely, as the nation was basically at a state of civil war, according to President Isaac Herzog, and so Netanyahu staying in power for as long as he can delays his expulsion.

Mark 13:7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet. [8] For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • There is coming a Romish/Jewish covenant to be confirmed. We don’t like it, but there it is. Islam will be wiped out, then Babylon & then they will come against Jerusalem. The Lord will return, skipping the mountaintops north from Sinai up through Edom to Mount of Olives. The Baal & Asherah religion of al ilah/al ilat is very wicked, & the Lord will deal with it, then with those who don’t fight it legitimately.
