Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo was elected as Mexico’s first female president in a landslide on Sunday, delivering another six-year term of government to the Morena party founded by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
Sheinbaum — who campaigned heavily on her commitment to build on the so-called “fourth transformation” of Mexico initiated by the current president — attracted 58-60% of the vote, according to “quick count” results announced by the president of the National Electoral Institute (INE) Guadalupe Taddei late Sunday.
“I feel excited and grateful for the recognition [the Mexican people] have given to the fourth transformation of public life in Mexico,” she said.
Sheinbaum, a former mayor of Mexico City, noted that it was the first time a woman had been elected president of Mexico since the country became independent more than 200 years ago.
Supporters responded with chants of “presidenta, presidenta,” the female form of the Spanish word for president.
Sheinbaum subsequently acknowledged a number of female Mexican trailblazers who preceded her, including independence insurgent Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez.
She also recognized “all the anonymous Mexican women” who have “built the homeland.”
Sheinbaum, 61, will be sworn in as president on Oct. 1 for a six-year term that will end in 2030. She is also the country’s first Jewish head of state.
Tens of millions of Mexicans voted across Mexico and from abroad on Sunday in what were the country’s largest ever elections. As of Monday morning, voter participation nationally was estimated to be 60.1% according to the INE.
The result in the presidential contest was a strong endorsement of the presidency of López Obrador, who took office in 2018 after the scandal-plagued term of the Institutional Revolutionary Party’s Enrique Peña Nieto.
Sheinbaum, a close ally and political protege of the president, has pledged to continue and strengthen López Obrador’s policies and programs, including the provision of welfare and social programs that have helped lift millions of Mexicans out of poverty.

Media reports put great emphasis on how she defeated a number of men running for election. She is just another progressive pushing these radical globalist ideals.

“Fourth transformation” – another way of saying the Klaus Schwab’s “Fourth Industrial Revolution” garbage, per his World Economic Forum; which he, interestingly enough, just announced that he’s stepping down from his head role at the foundation he created.
The WEF has highlighted some of her ‘accomplishments’ on their website. One post gushed about her bringing in “gender neutral” school uniforms for young children when she was Mayor of Mexico City, and she campaigned on women’s LGTBQIA+ rights. Part of that article reads:

The era when girls had to wear a skirt and boys had to wear trousers has been left behind, I think that’s passed into history. Boys can wear skirts if they want and girls can wear pants if they want.
It’s a very simple thing, but it creates a condition of equality, of equity.

Sheinbaum, who took office in December, is only the second woman ever to govern the capital and campaigned on a platform promising improved rights for women and LGBT+ people.
While children at government-run schools in Mexico are not required to wear uniform by law, the education ministry recommends state schools adopt them. It previously issued guidelines noting that “just as the skirt is the basic garment of a girl’s daily school uniform, so trousers are for boys”.
Mexico’s Education Minister, Esteban Moctezuma, praised Sheinbaum’s announcement and suggested that other states in the country may now follow suit.
“I’m sure that many state governments will follow the rule of equality and of rights, and of societies which have an enormous respect for one another,” he said.
LGBT+ activists welcomed the move and said it could be particularly positive for trans or gender-nonconforming students who are struggling with their identity.
It’s going to help a lot for trans children. [For] trans boys, they impose everything masculine on you … and it impacts you psychologically, it becomes a problem. They’re forcing you to use a uniform that you don’t identify with.
Diana Sanchez Barrios, a transgender activist and founder of Prodiana AC, a Mexican LGBT+ rights group, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Another post by the WEF lauded her efforts to reduce crime by installing a new advanced surveillance system throughout the city.
“But when it comes to a tough problem like crime, everyone has a role to play in finding innovative solutions. To this end, the open data strategy, based on a model policy developed by the G20 Smart Cities Alliance, also enables citizens to develop strategies for keeping people safe,” the WEF said in its post.
Needless to say, Mexico just had another pawn [s]elected to tear down Mexico even further.

I’ve only been to Mexico once and that was to help clean a building being built on some ranch land on the highway to Monterey, we got something to eat, and it was back to the States – and I felt so relieved to be back in the U.S.!

Who should I have voted for? 1) this woman? 2) Xóchtil, another trad Cath woman from the far right and closely related to a former president who favoured one drug cartel while fighting that cartel’s enemies using public funds claiming he was diminishing drug trafficking violence? 3) the only man for a little party who acts like a clown and believes Mexico will have a better future if we legalize marijuana and make it publicly avilable like Canada? Seriously? I had never felt so disappointed. First time there is a woman, and among so many indigenous and mestizo mexican women, a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob is here ruling over us? way outside the land God promised to his people? I can’t take these heat waves in Mexico anymore, but I’m sure there’s nowhere to run, and I know we deserve all this judgment. Antisemitism is growing stronger and stronger here.

Indeed I have the KJB, the RV60 (the most commonly used Spanish version) and even other versions in Spanish, English, and French, and definitely KJB is more faithful than any 20th century revision. In Spanish the old 1602 is much more faithftul though harder spelling to read.
