“These findings highlight the pervasive presence of microplastics in the male reproductive system in both canine and human testes, with potential consequences on male fertility,” states the abstract.

A new study recently published in the journal Toxological Sciences that received plenty of mainstream media attention, warning that the pervasiveness of nano- and microplastics has gotten so bad that a team of scientists discovered that the sample size of examined testicles in dogs and men found microplastics in them.

Based on the abstract from the study:

The ubiquitous existence of microplastics and nanoplastics raises concerns about their potential impact on the human reproductive system. Limited data exists on microplastics within the human reproductive system and their potential consequences on sperm quality.

Our objectives were to quantify and characterize the prevalence and composition of microplastics within both canine and human testes and investigate potential associations with the sperm count, and weights of testis and epididymis.

Using advanced sensitive pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry, we quantified 12 types of microplastics within 47 canine and 23 human testes. Data on reproductive organ weights, and sperm count in dogs were collected. Statistical analyses, including descriptive analysis, correlational analysis, and multivariate linear regression analyses were applied to investigate the association of microplastics with reproductive functions.

Our study revealed the presence of microplastics in all canine and human testes, with significant inter-individual variability. Mean total microplastic levels were 122.63 µg/g in dogs and 328.44 µg/g in humans. Both humans and canines exhibit relatively similar proportions of the major polymer types, with PE being dominant. Furthermore, a negative correlation between specific polymers such as PVC and PET and the normalized weight of the testis was observed.

These findings highlight the pervasive presence of microplastics in the male reproductive system in both canine and human testes, with potential consequences on male fertility.

In a statement to The Guardian, Prof. Xiaozhong Yu, at the University of New Mexico in the U.S., said: “At the beginning, I doubted whether microplastics could penetrate the reproductive system. When I first received the results for dogs I was surprised. I was even more surprised when I received the results for humans.”

Previous studies have also demonstrated that microplastics have been found in testes and semen. A study published last year in the journal Science of the Total Environment titled, “Detection and characterization of microplastics in the human testis and semen,”

The same applies for women. One study published this month detected microplastics in the female placenta, and another study published last year revealed the appearance of microplastics in breastmilk.

Inverse said in their report: ‘This finding is especially pertinent given the recent reports that sperm counts are on the decline worldwide. In the study, researchers were only able to test sperm counts in the dogs, as the human samples were already dead. They found that the higher the concentration of PVC, the lower the sperm count. This is in line with previous reports that show PVC — and plastic in general — has the ability to affect the endocrine system.’

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

The WinePress has written a number of articles warning of the many studies and instances of microplastics and nanoplastics detected in our bodies, our food and water, the environment, and so forth.

Proverbs 24:21 My son, fear thou the LORD and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change: [22] For their calamity shall rise suddenly; and who knoweth the ruin of them both?

We were continuously sold on how great plastics would be and now the repercussions of this folly have not even come close to being fully realized just how bad this problem really is.

However, some research has indicated that by simply boiling water you can remove a great deal of them, so there are ways we can try to eliminate some of this toxic garbage.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • “By boiling water you can get rid of some of them”
    In the article
So we’ll drink some hot chocolate and lattes, and other hot drinks then. English Tea for me, I love English Breakfast Tea the most.

How awful that there’s just so many plastic micro particles in our water causing health problems and awful for the sea creatures on the Earth too.

Thank Our Lord Jesus Christ that He will create a new Earth and everything will be perfect, clean and very good.
The world is obsessed with saving the Planet, but Christians know that The Great Tribulation is coming, when a third of the trees are destroyed and all the grass is burned up….use the time God has given us to spread the Gospel and tell people Jesus died for them, He rose again, He loves them very much and He IS COMING SOON!!!
Repentance is needed, so many churches just don’t seem to care that Heaven and Hell are both very real places. It’s hard to find churches these days that actually care that we are in the very last moments of our current history and the world is about to change forever

Make sure you are ready, watching and waiting for Jesus return, it’s in our lifetime, getting closer and closer each day that passes.

God Bless you Jacob, thank you for your articles.

Most people in my area are unemployed because everything closed down with the Lockdowns, and many stores have closed forever, so more and more people out of jobs, the shopping mall will be demolished soon too, so even more unemployed…
Of course, cost of living crisis making life unbearable for so many…
People have no hope, we need to tell them Jesus loves them

  • Do you guys over in America have the instant latte coffee? We have it here because the coffee shop far too expensive to buy these days…before 2020 everything was much cheaper, now everything is more expensive and less of it, too…the items on shelves much smaller, but cost more…much much money and it jumps up by 25 pence, 50 pence or even a whole pound in a matter of weeks, disgusting.

There’s gangs of youngsters that all rush into a shop and just steal everything in sight, really awful…they have no shame, one guy stuffed a frozen leg of lamb down his trousers but he was chased and it fell out and he left it behind.
Brazen gangs take large bags with them and just fill it up, and police just aren’t interested at all….there’s no justice anymore….

The days of lawlessness are here and it’s very upsetting and awful….
The world is not the one we grew up in, life is so very very different now, our great grandparents would be horrified.

Please come soon Lord, please rescue the children.

    God Bless everyone on here
