Canadian Town Requires QR Code Verification To Enter And Exit, Precursor To Digital ID Future

First reported by Radio Canada, the move that requires providing a unique QR code for verification will only be for travelers, while residents will only need to provide their driver’s license to come and go as they please.

As The Counter Signal explained, ‘The decision to require a QR code and identification for the municipality’s 12,000+ residents came after the municipal government announced they would begin charging all visitors who come to Îles-de-la-Madeleine $30, something which hasn’t gone down well with the locals or their family members who visit them.’

The council that enacted this law sought to create a way to ensure visitors paid their fees before leave, resulting in the QR codes; where in order to get one to leave the visitor must pay the fee.

Apparently residents were originally supposed to provide a QR code as well but a backlash caused officials to instead only enforce providing licenses IDs to enter/exit.

One angry resident said during a council meeting, “The issue, here, is not exclusively the 30 $ more to pay for a foreigner. For me, it is the act of’ to prevent Quebeckers, Canadians from accessing their own territory without being taxed, and therefore without hindering freedom of movement.”

Another said, “For people who have a residence on the Islands, it is totally absurd in my opinion to have to present proof of residence to an audit officer so that the Municipality in which you live allows you to access or let you leave.”

“This will be the first time in Canada that we will have to show a driver’s license to leave a municipality,” another woman said at a municipal council meeting.

But members of the board don’t see it this way. Martin Damphousse, president of the’Union of Municipalities of Quebec (UMQ), said in response to criticisms,

I can’t see how it’s a restriction on their freedom. If people want to go to the Magdalen Islands, they can go. There is no ban.

He said

Officials plan to have future meetings to discuss implementation and how the process will operate. “Fighting misinformation with the citizens I and the city council members work for is what matters,” Antonin Valiquette, Mayor of the Magdalen Islands, said.

This move was done in a small Canadian town, small enough to where no one is really going to notice at first before this stuff gets implemented nationwide.

The digital ID scam is of the next big things the elite class wants implemented. They need to facilitate the CBDCs and tokenization, and keep complete tabs on everyone at once. Do what you can to resist it.

Ultimately, the digital IDs, CBDCs, and tokenization are building the necessary foundations for the coming mark of the beast system.
