Former President Donald Trump has made it clear that he is not in favor of total abortion bans, in the wake of the 2024 Presidential election.

Last week Arizona’s Supreme Court to uphold a ‘160-year-old law that bans abortions and punishes doctors who provide them, saying the ban that existed before Arizona became a state can be enforced going forward,’ the AZ Central. The paper added:

The pre-statehood law mandates two to five years in prison for anyone aiding an abortion, except if the procedure is necessary to save the life of the mother. A law from the same era requiring at least a year in prison for a woman seeking an abortion was repealed in 2021.

Enforcement of the ban could mean the end of legal abortions in Arizona, which reproductive rights activists warn means Arizona women can expect potential health complications.

The decision caused an uproar with state leaders and activists, as this ruling will be challenged so that it maybe reversed.

But to the surprised of some in the GOP, President Trump did not agree with the ruling. A reporter asked, “Did Arizona go too far?” Trump responded on a tarmac:

Yeah, they did. That’ll be straightened out. As you know it’s all about state’s rights. It’ll be straightened out. I’m sure that the governor and everybody else are going bring it back to within reason, and I think that’ll be taken care of very quickly.

[…] It’s the will of the people, it’s what I’ve been saying: it’s the will of the people. […] It’s pretty amazing when you think [about it].

Trump’s statement came a few days after he formally announced his campaign stance on abortion, of which he said he was not in favor of an outright national ban.

My view is now that we have abortion where everybody wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation or perhaps both, and whatever they decide must be the law of the land. In this case, the law of the state.

It must be remembered that the Democrats are the radical ones are in this position because they support abortion up to and even beyond the ninth month. The concept of having an abortion in the later months, and even execution after birth. And that’s exactly what it is. The baby is born. The baby is executed after birth is unacceptable, and almost everyone agrees with that.

On top of this, Kari Lake, the former GOP nominee for Arizona Governor, and a staunch advocate for Trump, also condemned the state Supreme Court ruling. In a video statement she said:

“This total ban on abortion that the Arizona Supreme Court has ruled on is out of line with where the people of this state are. The issue is less about banning abortion and more about saving babies. We as American people don’t agree on everything all the time. But if you look at where the population is on this, a full ban on abortion is not where the people are.”

Moreover, cited by progressive show host David Packman, conservative pundit Charlie Kirk acknowledged that staunch abortion stances are not really that big of an interest with “MAGA,” and went on to try and reconcile this by essentially saying not to throw the baby out with the bathwater, and chide against Trump and the MAGA movement.

As noted in several WinePress reports, since the Supreme Court overturned Roe Vs. Wade in 2022, while a number of states moved to enforce laws and outright bans, abortions since then have only increased since 2014; and polls indicate that roughly that seven out of every 10 Americans (70%) are in favor with at least some form of abortion.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

The GOP is made up of a bunch of feckless losers and RINOs that won’t take hardline stands on just about anything anymore. They are mostly just lukewarm progressives, too scared to reveal their true colors, and too loathsome to go too far. And this is the same type of neo-conservatism that plagues modern churches in America today; where no one wants to judge anything, no one who fears God, and the word of God is no better than a football you punt across the stage.

And Trump, with his typical duplicity, what’s to talk about “state’s rights” as he stands there condemning what they did. But again, this is the lukewarmness I am speaking of, and he’ll say anything to garner as many votes as he can. Let’s not forget that Trump was a lifelong Democrat who switched camps in 2015 to win the nomination. He’s just a sleazy, liberal Demo[n]crat with a new coat of paint. But apparently this is the guy “Christians” think is going to bring America back to the promised land or something, and he walks on water or something. Incredible.

It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.

Proverbs 18:5

Phooey to that verse, if you’re a MAGA guy, right? Vote for the lesser of two evils, ay? I’m sure Jesus Christ would approve, right? (I’m being sarcastic of course).

Author Leo Hohmann said: ‘What Trump and Lake and all of their supporters are really saying is this: A little baby killing is OK just don’t get too “extreme.” Sorry, but that is a compromise of the worst kind. The GOP died today as a legitimate conservative option to the Democrats. It will not recover from this.’

Having said that, when Trump says it’s “the will of the people,” he’s not wrong. As I have noted in a number of reports on this issue, the American people have spoken and they love and want abortion; and if Gallup is willing to publish that 70% are in favor, then I’d reckon the true number is much higher. Indeed, the will of people is murder and bloodshed, the love of money and the love of themselves.

2 Kings 21:9 But they hearkened not: and Manasseh seduced them to do more evil than did the nations whom the LORD destroyed before the children of Israel.

2 Kings 24:3 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came this upon Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; [4] And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon.

Isaiah 59:7 Their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. [8] The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Proverbs 12:24 The hand of the diligent shall bear rule: but the slothful shall be under tribute.
Don’t waste your time and life. Evil and chaos has always existed, as well as dwelling in a “crooked and perverse nation” (Philippians 2:16), so don’t get wrapped up in the evil yourself (see context), and maximize your time. Don’t be lazy. It’s wood, hay, stubble at the judgment seat of Christ that will get burned up, so reduce how much of it shows up there. (1 Corinthians 3:9-17; 2 Timothy 2:19-21).
Ecclesiastes 9:10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

  • Thank you Jacob for sharing this.

I already repented of being a MAGA moron several times already, but now, the day I ever support Donald Dump again will be the day elephants sprout wings and fly!

Trump is still a liberal democrat (Demon-crat). He’s a liberal with a facelift is all he is. He’s just as liberal as Nancy Pelosi, in fact, Trump and Nancy Pelosi are close friends they’re like peas and carrots. When Trump gave his speech and Nancy Pelosi was sitting there pouting with her arms crossed like a spoiled kid, it was all for show. Once the speech was over, Trump gave Nancy Pelosi a high five and said “good job!”

Get ready for the wrath of God, America! If you don’t want to repent and call upon the name of the Lord to get saved and come to the King James Bible, then prepare for impact!

War is coming to America as well as economic collapse! Over 75 percent of America’s population is going to be dead, and for lack of better words correct me if I said something wrong, the Grim Reaper is going to work overtime in America!

  • The lesser of two evils is still evil.

If and when someone of any stripe says . . . ‘abortion is o.k. under certain circumstances . . .’, what they are really saying is, ‘this little human being is inconvenient for me, my life plans’.

I grieve over the loss of one of my woodland friends that come to eat. (I feed them) How can someone view the wonder of life with such a horrific procedure? Have they never stopped to think that the reason they are here is because their mother wouldn’t do such a thing?

    • Perfect comeback, Born Again!

That’s so sad that one of your woodland friends died.
And precious babies, little fragile newborns that give their first cry is a sight to behold.

But Great Satan America doesn’t value life of any kind – person or animal and foolishly assumes that kindness or tenderness is “weakness!” Well then, let’s see how tough they are when Chinese troops are invading their neighborhoods and multiple states, they’ll cry like little girls and suck their thumbs!

      • Thank you, Andrew.

We’ve lost more woodland friends than I can count. I’ve grieved over every single one. I gave them names and they would come to me when I called them. Very thankful for time God gave them to us, to care for. Beautiful, sweet, curious. Love them!

        • That’s so sad. I pray God blesses you with more woodland friends. They’re like pets in God’s creation.

I remember the cat we took in from the streets, she gave birth to kittens and I heard their tiny meows and I cried.

    • Nice thought on the “woodland friends” Nice to encounter someone who knows the purity and innocence of the non-human life on the planet. Bravo. Also, totally agree that abortion is all about inconvenience n

From Ecclesiastis 3:19 “For what happens to the children of man and what happens to the beasts is the same; as one dies, so dies the other. They all have the same breath, and man has no advantage over the beasts, for all is vanity. St Francis is the patron saint of animals. Even roaches have more sense than the average homo sapiens. as crazy as it sounds, I rescue them from my cats. Like MOST life forms, even roaches have a stronger survival instinct that paltry weak minded humans
