A woman in New York has been arrested after trying to force squatters out her home, after she discovered a number of squatters illegally trespassed and resided there since February.
47-year-old Adele Andaloro was put in handcuffs after she had a verbal altercation with the squatters in her home, resulting in police being called and having her hauled out of her $1 million home she inherited from her deceased parents in Flushing, Queens. The woman was in the process of trying to get the home sold when she discovered that the locks had been changed.
New York City has a squatters law in place that allows a squatter to not be evicted after 30 days of squatting on a property. This therefore makes it illegal for the homeowner to change the locks, turn off municipalities, evict the squatter and remove their belongings.
The interaction with this woman and the squatters were captured on camera.
As noted by ABC 7, Andaloro is naturally very upset and fears that she will lose her house.
It’s not fair that I, as the homeowner, have to be going through this.
I’m really fearful that these people are going to get away with stealing my home. By the time someone does their investigation, their work, and their job, it will be over 30 days and this man will still be in my home.
I may end up in handcuffs today if a man shows up here and says I have illegally evicted him. I said ‘let him take me to court as I’ve been told to take him to court’ because today I’m not leaving my house.
After police were called and escorted both Andaloro and the squatters out of the house, and the police left with the squatters, Andaloro immediately had a locksmith change the locks. ABC 7 reported what happened next:
Less than 10 minutes after police left and the locks were changed, the man who claimed to be the one actually leasing the house showed up with another man police already escorted off the property. They pushed through the front door.
“Do you see this this guy just literally broke down my door, broke through myself and my daughter,” Andaloro said.
Police showed up a second time and told Andaloro “he can’t be kicked out, you have to go to court.” They consider it to be a landlord-tenant issue and by law, it has to be handled through housing court and not with police.
Because Andaloro changed the locks, they arrested her for unlawful eviction.
When Eyewitness News asked Brian Rodriguez, the man who claims to have a lease, for documentation he provided none. Instead, he showed bills for work he claimed he had done to the house. He said he moved into the home a few months ago and signed documents with a realtor but wouldn’t say who that realtor is.

[5] There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: [6] Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place. Ecclesiastes 10:5-6
This is certainly not the only case of squatters taking over a home. It just so happened this case vent viral and highlighted the pure insanity of New York – as they are now handing out $10K Mastercards for illegals, while the rest of the people are basically treated worse than serfs and slaves for life at this point.
NYC and all these major cities are declaring to the world that crime is legal and law-abiding citizens are the real lawbreakers. Don’t earn and own something legally, just take it and claim it as yours: that’s the message.
Honestly, this stuff just gets so vexing sometimes, and I just get so furious at all the stuff that is happening anymore, especially when you have literally no one close to talk to physically about it.
[1] Remember, O LORD, what is come upon us: consider, and behold our reproach. [2] Our inheritance is turned to strangers, our houses to aliens. [3] We are orphans and fatherless, our mothers are as widows. [4] We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us. [5] Our necks are under persecution: we labour, and have no rest. [8] Servants have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us out of their hand. Lamentations 5:1-5, 8
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

I’m glad that I moved out of NYC just in time.
Indeed.
Me too Thomas. I got out in 2021. I now have a bible centered church, Christian neighbors. There are a number of businesses in my town which call their business a ministry and a service to God because the Bible tells us to do all things, as “unto the Lord.”
When I was driving away from NY, I had their distinct feeling that I was leaving Sodom and Gomorrah. I was born and raised in NY and saw the place slowly change. I saw churches turn into yoga studios. I saw ungodly businesses begin to come into my neighborhood touting satanic and gay imagery. Hostility to Christians was at an all time high when I left. I felt I was a religious refugee seeking shelter in another state.
Rejection of God brings confusion as to what is right and wrong. For example, a law should be enacted to the effect of you don’t take homes that aren’t your own. That is a crime. NY is completely fallen when they can no longer see this and protect property.
God bless you Jacob for all the work you. I completely agree , these times are vexing like really vexing. I hope God calls us up in morning or while we sleep better yet huh.
Thank you. As distressing as things are getting, one of the things the Lord has given me is good sleep at the end of the day.
Proverbs 3:24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. [25] Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. [26] For the LORD shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken.
