Prysner, a veteran who served in Iraq, who works with the group Veterans for Peace. The rally led to 135 people being arrested after many of them chained themselves to the White House fence.
They’re not going to end the wars. And they’re not going to do it, because it’s not our government. It’s their government. It’s the government of the rich. It’s the government of Wall Street, of the oil giants, of the defense contractors. It’s their government. And the only language that they understand is shutting down business as usual.
And that’s what we’re doing here today, and we’re going to continue to do until these wars are over. We’re going to fight until there’s not one more bomb dropped, not one more bullet fired, not one more soldier coming home in a wheelchair, not one more family slaughtered, not one more day of U.S. imperialism.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY
Just as a disclaimer: I’m not giving a rubber stamp endorsement on everything Prysner or Veterans For Peace have ever said. That being said, what he said in this speech is on point and is so true 14 years later – which is quite sad considering that Americans have not repented of its waring atrocities, and with one accord demanded immediate change.
Anyone who knows anything at all about the military industrial complex (MIC) machine has heard the name Smedley Butler, a former Marine Major General and two-time Medal of Honor winner, who exposed the corruption of the U.S. MIC a century (!) ago at this point; and his words still hold water to this present hour.
I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.

And, to varying degrees, people understand the old adage that is “all wars are banker wars,” something that has been documented time and time again.
But the United States’ killing is just disgusting and unfathomable, and is not hard to understand why so many countries and people absolutely just loathe and vehemently hate the U.S. and Americans. John & Nisha Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute have a really good article covering some of this, titled “Guns for Hire: America’s Crisis State Goes Global.”
All these wars are built on lies; and Americans have become passive towards the endless slaughter. U.S. Gen. Wesley Clark has explained in a serious of interviews and forums that the purpose of the U.S. military is to “start wars and change governments;” and how he was read a memo from the Secretary of Defense’s office that laid-out the plans to “take out” seven countries, which included: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, and Iran.
The US And NATO Have Become The New Fourth Reich, Destroying The World While Claiming Innocence
All of this is another big unspoken factor as to why recruitment is way down, simply because many Gen-Z’ers who grew up with the internet have access to this trove of information that exposes America’s corruption, and the current generation wants no part of it, among other reasons of course.
Psalm 10 perfectly describes this mess well: who do you think this sounds like?
[1] Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble? [2] The wicked in his pride doth persecute the poor: let them be taken in the devices that they have imagined. [3] For the wicked boasteth of his heart’s desire, and blesseth the covetous, whom the LORD abhorreth. [4] The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts. [5] His ways are always grievous; thy judgments are far above out of his sight: as for all his enemies, he puffeth at them. [6] He hath said in his heart, I shall not be moved: for I shall never be in adversity. [7] His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and fraud: under his tongue is mischief and vanity. [8] He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. [9] He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net. [10] He croucheth, and humbleth himself, that the poor may fall by his strong ones. [11] He hath said in his heart, God hath forgotten: he hideth his face; he will never see it. [12] Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up thine hand: forget not the humble. [13] Wherefore doth the wicked contemn God? he hath said in his heart, Thou wilt not require it. [14] Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless. [15] Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none. [16] The LORD is King for ever and ever: the heathen are perished out of his land. [17] LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: [18] To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress. Psalms 10:1-18
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

Psalm 10:1-18 sounds a lot like and eerily similar to America.
America’s day of reckoning is coming very soon and God is going to punish this nation severely for all of her unjust and bloodthirsty wars of aggression on innocent nations!
All five branches: Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard are going to have recruitment numbers below the freezing point, there will be disrepute and major troubles within each branch.
Their ability to fight will be disabled with all the investigations and hardships caused by low numbers and corruption.
Women troops and officers as well as diversity will be salt in the wound, and Wall Street and the bankers will lose every penny of their riches and some of them won’t have a pot to pee in!
Because I was so brainwashed and led astray by that satanic Pentecostal-Catholic daughter cult and a bunch of pseudo-patriot Americans, I was in favor of the Iraq atrocity war and that Skull and Bones satanist George W. Bush! Not anymore and never again!
Down comes the axe!
Don’t feel too bad. Even the KJV Fundamental Baptists like to parade around their military veterans. I knew one family where one of the sons wants to be a military chaplain. The Battle Hymn of the Republic was sung every Memorial Day, a song written by a female Unitarian, I think, who most assuredly did not know her Bible. Unitarians today openly embrace those who practice witchcraft.
he forgot to mention the poppy fields . . . .
Correct! The Golden Triangle (Vietnam) and the Golden Crescent (Afghanistan) – both of which were drug wars.
we must stay focused people coz the peoples have no control how the governments spend the money and Godly men who are SAVED have refused to lead our governments wven though the bible clearly says that God will stand with a saved man if he does his will.
i see the theme trying to change and anger being directed at the peoples like they rule the nations their living in.
the poor are always controled by the rich unless they are MADE FREE by JESUS CHRIST
i understand God’s judgements are hear just dont let any of us looking at whays happening get mingled in
