NFL team the Carolina Panthers has partnered with Verizon to introduce a new ticketing system that enables facial recognition, speeding up the process of entry and moving through checkpoints, rather than repeatedly flashing a ticket.

WCNC said during a broadcast that this type of entry system will be the future basically for all sports arenas.

However, this past weekend, many people did not try out the system basically so very few turned out for the game. Not only is Carolina 2-12 so far this season, the weather was not great either.

Nevertheless, this new ticket entry system is only for certain members, and will be for NFL games for the rest of the season. The facial recognition will be fully operable by next season.

Caroline Wright, Chief Venues Officer for Tepper Sports & Entertainment, said in a statement on the Panthers’ website:

We’re always looking for ways to improve the experience for the fans, which is why I’m so excited about our partnership with Verizon. This latest upgrade builds on our efforts to create a fan-first environment here at Bank of America Stadium. Automating the check-in experience will make it that much easier for ticket holders to get into the stadium and enjoy our events.

Moreover, as explained by the NFL team in a press release:

By combining facial recognition and ticket scanning to authenticate the identity of a ticket holder, Verizon 5G Edge Accelerated Access, which is underpinned by Wicket’s facial authentication technology, creates user-friendly, low-friction ticketing and entry access experience.

The team added With ‘Express Entry’, no paper ticket or phone is necessary to enter Bank of America Stadium. Before heading in, users simply opt-in to the program and take a photo. Ticket holders can then “check in” by using one of the designated facial ticketing lanes at Bank of America Stadium, where the ticket taker will validate the number of people in the party and access is granted.

Wicket is a facial recognition firm that outfits stadiums and other venues that replace ticketing with facial payments, analytical surveillance, and more.

In a press release published last week, Wicket announced a partnership with LAVA, a real-time AI data company, “to create a smooth, fast and touchless experience for fans at sport and entertainment events – from the turnstile to the concession stand,” Wicket says.

The company said in their release: “The Wicket facial authentication platform is a privacy-first solution that enhances fan, guest, and employee experiences by enabling frictionless touchpoints that delight users and strengthen security for live events and facilities. Once a fan’s identity has been authenticated, the Wicket system notifies the LAVA loyalty platform, which can automatically personalize the game-day experience for that fan in a variety of ways.”

Wicket and LAVA have already integrated their platforms with NFL team the Cleveland Browns.

This partnership has allowed the firms to create the new Express Beer service; which “provides a completely contactless purchase experience that replaces traditional beer concession lines with sleek (and fast) self-service locations where all you need to buy a cold one is your mug (that is, your face),” the firm says.

Additionally, “Express Beer uses the same facial authentication technology that powers Express Access facial ticketing, a Wicket-powered service that dramatically reduces the time it takes for fans to enter the stadium, and where LAVA’s system can alert them to special offers and discounts that recognize their loyalty.”

Nobody likes lines — especially once the game is underway — and fans hate to miss the action on the field while queueing for a beer. The combination of Wicket’s biometric identification and LAVA’s real-time personalization gives loyalty managers new ways to make game day more enjoyable.

At this point it seems all major sports arena stadiums and venues have adopted some form of contactless payments and facial recognition tech. But where is the outcry? Where is the boycotting? Where is the refusal? Exactly…

SEE:

Again, while we still have a bit more to go yet, it is evident the mark of the beast system and conditioning for it continues to grow.

[16] And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: [17] And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. [18] Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

Revelation 13:16-18

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • “Where is the boycotting? Where is the refusal? Exactly…“ that’s exactly right, nobody’s going to protest this if they’re going to this scene because they’re bewitched by bread and circus.

Enjoy it while it lasts, America. Because next year it’s going to be chaos and horror that’ll make 2020 seem like a day at the park.
