With the annual COP28 climate conference going on, the concept of “carbon passports” have once again been introduced into foray as a means of cutting emissions. These passports at their foundational level will limit who can travel and where, and by how much.
On Tuesday, December 5th, Business Insider published an article titled, “Could ‘carbon passports’ that limit how much we travel be in our future?”
In a statement to the outlet, Alex Hawkins, the strategic-foresight editor at The Future Laboratory, who led a report that suggested carbon passports could throttle back traveler’s annual emissions, said, “the idea of carbon passports is based on the idea of personal carbon allowances,” adding that it would “impose a cap on how much carbon people are allowed to emit over a certain period of time.”
However, Hawkins and Matt Berna, the president of Intrepid in the Americas, said they didn’t see a carbon passport as a quick fix, though.
This is the future we don’t want. We mapped out the concept as a provocation to say that if we aren’t taking decisive action against the climate crisis, we are going to potentially see our freedoms curbed in different ways.

Hawkins also noted that it would be tough to get enough people on board, Hawkins added, and “for it to work internationally, it would require collaboration from a lot of different stakeholders.” He added, “If we were to put certain limits on our individual carbon emissions, that would have different ramifications for all of us.”
‘To work, such a passport would need to be created alongside new legislation and technological innovations, Berna and Hawkins said,’ BI noted.
Anna Abelson, an adjunct professor of the Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality at New York University, also told the paper, “the idea is good in theory, but in terms of logistics, I don’t see how it could come together.”
Nevertheless, one month ago The Conversation floated out a headline that read, “It’s time to limit how often we can travel abroad – ‘carbon passports’ may be the answer.”
A snippet from that piece says: “Intrepid Travel’s report predicts that we will see carbon passports in action by 2040. However, several laws and restrictions have been put in place over the past year that suggest our travel habits may already be on the verge of change.”
Intrepid Travel’s report also highlights that not only how we travel, but where we travel will soon be impacted by climate change. Boiling temperatures will probably diminish the allure of traditional beach destinations, prompting European tourists to search for cooler destinations such as Belgium, Slovenia and Poland for their summer holidays.
Whatever the solution may be, changes to our travel habits look inevitable. Destinations across the globe, from Barcelona to the Italian riveria and even Mount Everest are already calling for limits on tourist numbers as they struggle to cope with crowds and pollution.
Holidaymakers should prepare to change their travel habits now, before this change is forced upon them.

Climate passports are just the tip of the iceberg: the climate goobers and elites have already baked into the cake that most domestic flights will be shuttered, and most airports close all together. This can be seen spelled-out in the “Absolute Zero” agenda, which states:
[By 2030], All airports except Heathrow, Glasgow and Belfast close with transfers by rail. [By 2050], All remaining airports close. The document says
Will this actually come to pass? Time will tell, but I tend to think that it will. Of course, the rich and well-off will get to fly around in their private jets unabated. “They” want everyone stationary and sedentary, living in their smart 15-minute cities. Furthermore, this “new legislation” they speak of, the way I interpret this as, are CBDCs, digital IDs, social credit scores, and carbon credits.
The snare is laid for him in the ground, and a trap for him in the way.

I read / listened to the Absolute zero agenda document summary put out by Christian at Ice Age farmer, and his analysis was wonderful. However, if I’m not mistaken, that was a paper put out in the U.K. that described the E.U., not the U.S. The airports they state to close are for the EU. I did not see any similar document for the U.S., although with the cbdcs/social credit scores they could do this here, but I believe you are referencing a paper that was not applicable here, but I’d love to know.
Yes, that document is focused on the British Isles. However, it still is applicable to the overall agenda these globalists are putting into motion around the world. Also, in IAF’s video, he showed a map of the U.S. by 2050 and the different zonings, which mirrors the new light rail system that is being mapped out and constructed. My only real intent with bringing up that document was to showcase that eventually these people want to ultimately phase-out flight. Remember: out of one side of their mouth they keep preaching about EV’s, but the other side says “You’ll own nothing and be happy.” Hopefully that makes sense.
What I am seeing happening worldwide is two distinct alliances forming. On the one side is the Brics nations who want to continue using petroleum as their main source of energy. This obviously includes the OPEC members including Venezuela which is a founding member. Notice all the sudden Venezuela is having issues with Guyana who has American military coming to “ protect “ them.
And the other side is being run by climate change nuts who want to stop using oil.
Now the point I don’t believe many in the western alliance understand.
Our leaders are asking us or our sons, daughters etc to go fight and possibly die in a war so that when and if we win our governments end goal will be to shut off the oil supply to the world.
They will be fighting and dying for the privilege of being sent back to the Stone Age by the climate change lunatics.
