The United States Armed Forces has recorded a steady rise in suicides for both the soldiers themselves and within military families. This information comes way of a fresh report from the Pentagon that details these deaths and action plan moving forward to reduce these deaths.

These numbers are collected from 2022, however.

The Department of Defense’s (DoD) “Annual Report on Suicide in the Military: Calendar Year (CY) 2022” reveals that 492 service members killed themselves last year, which includes those on active-duty, reserve, and national guard.

According to the data, the majority of these suicides are committed by young, white males in the Army.

The DoD says “Active Component suicide rates gradually increased from 2011 to 2022. Although, rates in the last two years appear slightly lower than in 2020,” a 3% overall net increase.

69% of the suicides came of shooting, with a little less than 30% by way of hanging, and then a smaller number via poisoning, stabbing, jumping, etc.

The attempts at suicide were even higher at 1,278 just among the active-duty servicemen; 319 Army, 274 Marine Corps, 282 Navy, 403 Air Force. 69% of attempts were men and 31% were women. 59% of attempted deaths were by poisoning, 14% by hanging, 11% by cutting, and the rest by firearm and other things.

The reasons for attempted suicide (within a year before the reported attempt) are as follows:

  • 48% Reported select behavioral health diagnoses (alcohol use disorder, depressive disorder, anxiety, trauma- or stressor-related disorder, sleep–wake disorder (one or more))
  • 38% Reported intimate relationship problems
  • 26% Reported workplace difficulties
  • 20% Reported administrative/legal problems
  • 11% Reported experiencing assault or harassment
  • 10% Reported financial difficulties

These numbers are fairly congruent with the percentages who those who did commit suicide, based on reports given a year within their deaths.

Family members unfortunately a number suicides as well. 168 family members (spouses and dependents) took their own lives in 2021, across active, reserve, and guard; which was lower than 2020’s 202 recorded suicides.

Among the spouses, it was nearly 50-50 between male and female, but almost 52% of the wives committed suicide. Nearly 85% of these total suicides were younger than 40-years-old. 61% of these suicides came way of a gun.

70% of the dependents (54 of them) took their lives as well, with 55% taking their lives with a gun, too.

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin issued a statement upon the release of the findings, saying:

Even one suicide is too many. We have much more work to do to reduce suicide across our Force, and owe it to our service members and our military families to provide the best possible care; to identify risk factors and spot warning signs; and to eliminate the tired old stigmas around seeking help.

There is no single solution to preventing suicide, but I remain focused on actions that will make a real difference and change the culture around this critical challenge. Together, we can prevent suicide and take care of every outstanding patriot who steps up to defend our country.

As noted by the DoD in their report, the suicide rates are comparable to the civilian suicide rate that continues to tick upwards, including depression rates amongst the general population.

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

A sword is upon the liars; and they shall dote: a sword is upon her mighty men; and they shall be dismayed.

Jeremiah 50:36

As the U.S. is rapidly ramping up yet another war, I have been increasingly highlighting the problems with the U.S. military and why we cannot afford or fight yet another war (though, we have not outright won a war since World War II). So, you can add this to the list of reasons of why the military is haggard and in dire straits. I’d reckon also that the attempts of suicide are much higher than reported, and those that are serving actively, in reserves, or the guard, are just as ridiculously depressed like the civilians are.

SEE: Opinion: US Is So Desperate For Recruits Army Resorts To Using E-Girls For Enlistment. Why I Will Not Join The Military

The strength, the willpower, the fortitude, the resolve, the constitution, the national pride have all been diminished, for no one wants to fight nor do they truly think any of them are winnable; as conditions on the homefront wither and erode away rapidly for a number of reasons, as hope in the people’s are really starting to fade; and enemy nations know this, and they are lying in wait for the right moment to strike.

And it came to pass, when all the kings of the Amorites, which were on the side of Jordan westward, and all the kings of the Canaanites, which were by the sea, heard that the LORD had dried up the waters of Jordan from before the children of Israel, until we were passed over, that their heart melted, neither was there spirit in them any more, because of the children of Israel.

Joshua 5:1

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Matthew 26:52 “Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.”

The United States Military is guilty of this! The military was designed to protect this nation, not to go out and fight other people wars! I am not against supporting Israel, God’s chosen people. I am against the fact that this nation that was started by the pilgrims to find a place to worship God freely but has now turned into a nation that wants to join all wars, such as Ukraine. This country is not just guilty of going into war that are quite foreign to us but is guilty of starting so many wars for the purpose of mass bloodshed! Thus this nation is guilty of this scripture! But again not just our nation is guilty but also its people. The people in this nation are as wicked as what come out of war! They only think of war! They are reaping what they sow! This nation is getting what it deserves! We have thanksgiving coming up. A holiday meant to give thanks to God. God saved the Pilgrims through the harsh winter and gave them great blessings for continually seeking him. He gave them a great harvest. Quite to the contrary is going to happen this year. People are going to start off their thanksgiving day watching sports and thinking about themselves. People are not going to be opening up their Bibles and praying to God. People don’t even understand what it is to trust God. When people have a problem hey don’t take it up with God. They either go to their doctor, their insurance, or anything else. People today have too much comfort. People think the God of the Old Testament is gone away! Have you ever heard the phrase “I serve the God of the New Testament not the Old Testament.” Well I will tell you. God is going to start revealing His wrath upon this nation. Praise the Lord! People are going to start seeing the wrath of the God.

Revelation 10:7 “But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.”

The mystery of God is soon going to be finished!

  • 1 Thessalonians 4:13
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

It’s a terrible, difficult thing if you are lost and unbelieving, this world and the things in it will always let you down. No hero or leader to depend on. Mankind is simply not capable of being truly righteous without God and his word. But it’s a blessed and wonderful thing if you are saved.

Despite many of the lost seemingly “satisfied” and “happy” in their sins, bear in mind that the face they show to the world is different from the true face they possess when they are alone and dealing with their thoughts. You can only sear your conscience so much. I believe even the most vile still have a whit of guilt in there that they constantly have to dodge and run away from throughout their wicked lives. No man can completely undo what the Lord has built into us, the conscience bearing witness as the bible says. Except only when the Lord decides to utterly just let their hearts turn to stone, because of their continued rejection of his word and salvation will this happen. As for the mark, this will be one of the grave instances where the wrath of God will be the ultimate point of no return for the lost who reject him and his word.

This is not man or Satan, of his own accord successfully undoing the Lord’s given conscience. It will be God letting that final bit of conscience and guilt perish, allowing the mark to corrupt them, because of their choice to take it willingly. Them seeing Jesus Christ in his glory and power, still blaspheming him. And even if they, by some last pang of guilt and fear cry out to him for salvation, whilst already marked by the devil, all will be in vain. What a nightmare for the wicked lost people when Jacob’s trouble comes!

It’s hard being a Christian no doubt. Never a day’s rest from fighting against your flesh to not yield to the secular music, movies, to the wicked, lost women, to the comforting (numbing) drugs and alcohol, to the deceitfully tasty toxic food, in keeping silent when you’re supposed to speak out against wickedness in your workplace, around family, among your neighbors, in choosing to be alone rather than be around the lost and their sinful ways, and every other sinful and harmful thing this world offers. (Even more so when you are living in a city. Fewer options to sin, better state of being to fight sin). Guarding and judging yourself all the time, 24-7. And these temptations get more intense the more you serve God. For every victory there’s an attack coming from the devil and your flesh. Messing up really makes you feel rotten. Nothing feels worse than failing the Lord. But the beauty of this is we can repent and be forgiven. And ask for strength to not fall again.

    Romans 5:1-5
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; 4 and patience, experience; and experience, hope: 5 and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

    1 Peter 4:12-13
12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 but rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

There’s always that hope and joy that never goes away despite all of these. Prayerfully, to have much courage also when the very rough situations come upon us. Thanks to God, many of us are still living comfortable lives. Wisdom? We have it in the King James bible and the book’s guidance and direction. No excuse for claiming ignorance. Many occasions of joy in defeating sin. In witnessing and tracting. In seeing revelations in the bible. In speaking and doing judgment among lost people even if they’ll despise, attack and mock you. Unbelievers, lost people don’t have these comforts. And never will unless they submit to the Lord and his word, repent and come unto salvation.

  • All those that committed suicide; would have done it whether thy were in the military or not. Most younger gens are so pampered and so fragile that a broke fingernail will send them over the cliff. Most I said but not all. A Bible based up bringing will bring up grounded men and women. Most of ya that comment on here are of younger age than me, but are quite knowledgeable of this; young Christians that have they act grounded in the Bible. I’m old, 62, but you young people; kept your head and heart in that Book and you’ll be fine.

  • Go read the history of communism & the mental/psychic (soulish) manipulations of Mao & co. And the Dark Age Inquisitional tactics. It’s Satanic, and the Jesuits’ cultivation of Marx & creation of that antichrist philosophy is just one of the later varieties & variations on the old themes of that wicked false shepherd. John 10 KJB. Suicide saves them the trouble of torturing, starving & killing them all….and its the way many of the resisting free farmers of China died.

Jezebel’s Naboth problem tactic. 1 Kings 21, not forgetting to read also 2 Kings 9…and the additional & unexpected fruit they reaped of that covetous, murderous, deceitful action so like they treated our Lord.

The Chinese socialists were more ‘advanced’ in ‘Fifth Generation Warfare’ & Sun Tzu tactics & terror than ‘backwards’ Russia & the corporate Rome props there like Lenin & Stalin…..but the Jesuits are like Alexander the Great who collected ALL the pagan writings of the MYSTERIES, depositing them in Alexandria, & are ever learning, becoming the masters of every devilish craft, tactic, technique & discipline. They infiltrate, take & run them all.

Only biblical spiritual warfare as Ephesians 6 and 2 Corinthians 10, heeding the warning of 1 Corinthians 11, Colossians and Galatians….can keep a soul from falling into such hands & handling in the first place through obedience& close relationship with the Lord, receiving his guidance, prompting, warnings etc….or aid those already in those circumstances to stand & die well.

One observation of those who early studied brainwashing back in the Korean war days, was that it was the higher education types who were most likely to crack, follow suggestion & to turn traitor, stealth ‘activist’ etc. It was the black baptist Bible believers like the Tuskegee types who were least likely to crack. They had no illusions & delusions of ‘innate human goodness’ or ‘social evolution’ back then, and the Book they knew wasn’t influenced by the big sodomite three: Socrates, Aristotle and the most unnatural of them all, Plato…..or by Eastern serpent wisdom….but authored by the same Lord & Spirit who was with & within many of them.

The big social programs, the dumbing down & demoralization, re-education & sin promotion & exploitation took care of that, of course. And fake black ‘Christian’ pastor plants & opportunists were suddenly everywhere, and their ‘ministries’ and ‘activism’ as puffed by the controlled media as the ministry of Jesuit influenced & handled, spiritually neutered Billy Graham. Jezebel and Balaam would be proud. Revelation 2 & 3 playing out in living color.

  • This report… from an agency that declares two bullets in the back of the head to be a “suicide”!

I don’t believe a syllable this diabolical communist group and cronies have to tell us. “Take heed that no man deceive you.” Mt. 24: 4
