“At a time when we are struggling to recruit an adequate labor force for the military, the growing rates of obesity are especially alarming,” said an author of the report.

A new report reveals that a little less than 70%, seven out of every ten, of active-duty soldiers for the United States are believed to be overweight.

The American Security Project published a whitepaper earlier this week that emphasized the need for the armed forces to look drastically bring their overall weight down.

In short, part of the review found the following:

Obesity poses a complex challenge to recruitment, readiness, and retention within the U.S. Armed Forces. Amidst an escalating military recruiting crisis, pre-accession weight loss programs are helping services meet enlistment goals. Rapid and sustained recurrence of obesity across all services, ranks, and positions now poses a dire threat, especially for at-risk populations and those in critical combat roles.

To effectively tackle the military obesity crisis, the Department of Defense must significantly improve its research and reporting. In the meantime, replacing military appearance regulations with evidence-based health policies can facilitate a shift to treating obesity as a chronic disease rather than an administrative checkmark.

The growing prevalence of obesity in service members reduces the readiness of the all-volunteer military, but it isn’t a moral failing; it’s a health crisis.

Framing obesity as an issue of insufficient willpower or discipline prevents soldiers from seeking and receiving treatment, makes commanders and healthcare workers less inclined to intervene, and worsens health outcomes across the services.

The report says

Additionally, the group reported:

  • 68% of active-duty service members have overweight or obesity. Obesity is the leading disqualifier of military applicants and a primary contributor to in-service injuries and medical discharges.
  • Military obesity rates across the active duty have more than doubled over ten years, from 10.4% in 2012 to 21.6% in 2022. Eating disorders increased by approximately 79% between 2017 and 2021.
  • Despite being a chronic disease with several FDA-approved treatment options, antiquated body composition policies and stigma prevent effective treatment of obesity within the Armed Forces.
  • The removal of body mass statistics from military recruitment and disability reports used by DoD stakeholders and Congress has resulted in incomplete and misleading conclusions. This data is needed to identify at-risk populations and design effective, evidence-based interventions.

Matthew Wallin, chief operating officer of the American Security Project, sounded-off on the shocking results.

At a time when we are struggling to recruit an adequate labor force for the military, the growing rates of obesity are especially alarming.

No person defending our country should find themselves unsupported and unequipped to fight a personal battle against obesity.

He said

These results were calculated in part by the Body Mass Index (BMI), which has been long scrutinized for being outdated and too broad, not taking into consideration other factors, body types, and ethnicity.

Nevertheless, the authors assured the Military Times is still the best measurement that indicates further screening for chronic disease is needed.

It’s important to note that the AMA hasn’t called for doctors to step back from BMI. The report that led to their most recent recommendation actually found the opposite, that BMI is more accurate than other commonly used measurements, [but that it shouldn’t be used alone to diagnose obesity].

They also reiterated that a BMI above 30 remains a key indicator that someone should be immediately checked out for conditions highly correlated with obesity, such as insulin resistance, high blood pressure, hyperlipidemia, and vascular dysfunction.

The CDC has already had to expand the weight brackets for the BMI because so many Americans are overweight and obese.

The U.S. Air Force has also expanded the acceptable body fat limits in order to gain more recruits. The same applies to the Army as well.

How say ye, We are mighty and strong men for the war?

Jeremiah 48:14

Once again this damning report reveals just how ill-prepared and pitiful the U.S. military is; and yet the warmongers and military industrial complex are bound and determined to fight World War III on multiple fronts.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Another canary in the coal mine that the Armed Forces are finished. Obese soldiers, overweight is bad enough but obese?!?!

Not to mention, feminism, female soldiers and officers, woke politics, false toughness, LGBTQIA, the Navy with a drag queen sailor and a transgender admiral (Rachel Levine) and all the evil and corruption since World War I with foreign entanglements, pharmaceuticals and so-called immunizations, depleted uranium, illegal and unjust wars like Iraq, and so on and so on and so on.

America and its once “most powerful military in the world” is R.I.P.!

  • G……. I wonder who will win World War iii, could it be the obese soldiers who were dresses and makeup and have their wig hair in ponytails, or could it possibly be the MEN over in Russia and China and so on that make their MEN (not women) work out and teach them how to fight and be MEN and are talked about in the true word of God the KJV to win…… g I just can’t fathom.

  • You can about read the satanic backstory in this, the development of the desired ‘narrative’. Basically, it goes like this: our voluntary woke army is purposely inadequate, but those kind of easily manipulated & sacrificed laity are what we (the ‘masters’, the nicolaitans: the deceiving & being deceived, 2 Tim 3 & Rev 2:6&15 KJB) desire.

So, how do we get rid of a lot of these, PLUS a lot of those sober& wise, living circumspect & responsible lives who stand in the way of our absolute control? (‘Collateral damage, you know?’ wink/wink)

Well, if they won’t take the hokey-pokey to debilitate them in the way most lucrative & useful for ‘transferring the wealth’ into our (Rome & her cronies’, including the craft& kabbalist Jews still the tail & not the head, still having no king but Caesar/Pontifex Maximus) pockets as possible, also destroying their fertility to the end of aiding the implementation of our idolatrous designer-child & controlled bug-slime genetic corrupting slop ‘food’ system; …….and until we can get gun control to make the destruction and/or round-up of such people ‘safe & effective’ for us & our ‘allies’….we can always orchestrate & foment a convenient ‘moral’ war. That’s always useful for demonizing those who abstain from taking part in it, & in the end, we can reinstate the draft for not only men, but for the women as well like Israel also become Sodom& Egypt has already done.

Note that all of that would fit the prophetic word, too, & with the Lord firmly in control with regard to consequential judgment & moving toward the final fulfillment as written. Now older folks are already saying that people thought the Yom Kippur war fifty years ago was that of Ezekiel 38-39 because of the alignment of nations….& that is true. We can’t know for sure quite yet, but we can see the alignment of nations, & that what is happening in Ethiopia & Egypt with the dam & UN, the Chinese/UN one road, one world initiative etc lend themselves to the fulfillment of some more things in Isaiah concerning the Nile & delta, & potentially preparing the way for the kings of the east with regard to the Euphrates. And we know that at some point, the Lord has promised to judge those nations, & to come to the aid of Jerusalem, ultimately to open the eyes of the third surviving remnant etc.

No doubt about it: the best place to be right now is in the protective will of God by being obedient to the gospel of God where we can count on grace sufficient to the need, whatever it ends up being for each of us personally, or how fast or long & drawn out these things turn out to be. I believe the Lord stayed things back in the days of the Yom Kippur war because there were more believing King James Bible believers watching, praying, & warning yet in this nation. Not perfect, but real. Kind of like the stay of Hezekiah’s day when some, but not all, was set right in Judah….but then came the wicked & idolatrous reign of Manasseh, setting up the image of jealousy & such, increasing the innocent blood crying out to the Lord for justice & vengeance, which things we have definitely seen increase in this nation during the last fifty years as it was paganized & Romanized.

Not unlike Jerusalem, which leadership & people who love to have it so, were like those nations they were allied to openly or covertly….and with doublecrossing a way of life for the wicked. Definitely not boring. And definitely not backing up the claims of the Bible corrupters & proud revisers that the King James Bible is ‘irrelevant’ & ‘outdated’.

    Hardly.
