McCarthy said that he was willing to give Democrats whatever they wanted, essentially. The latest spending package averts a shutdown for 45 days until another potential shutdown looms. This package removed additional funding for Ukraine.
However, it was then reported that McCarthy did a side deal with Democrats to provide funding to Ukraine, unbeknownst to Republicans. This prompted Gaetz to seek support from fellow constituents to oust McCarthy.
Long story short, McCarthy was removed with a final vote of 216-210. This is the first time ever in the history of the United States that a Speaker of the House has been removed from his/her seat.
Gaetz had it out for McCarthy since the day he was selected as the next Speaker of the House, being one of the stark bulwarks in delaying his ascendence to the position. Nevertheless, McCarthy was eventually seated.
McCarthy, as noted by The WinePress at that time, documented that McCarthy has been an affiliate with the World Economic Forum, and has worked with President Biden during some of these events held by the WEF at the time.
Until the House can find a true replacement, Representative Patrick McHenry of North Carolina (R), and chair of the House Financial Services Committee, was selected as the temporary head.
As noted by Politico, ‘The speaker pro tempore is imbued with all the powers of an elected speaker of the House. McCarthy hand-picked McHenry (R-N.C.) for this role when he was elected speaker in January. The pro tempore is kept as a secret, held by the clerk of the House, until a speaker is removed or incapacitated, a process designed after Sept. 11, 2001, to ensure continuity of government.’
McHenry angrily slammed the gavel when announcing a recess for the parties after the procedures had taken place.
Just like McCarthy, McHenry, a Roman Catholic, has a history with the World Economic Forum, too. On two separate occasions McHenry was a guest speaker at the annual WEF meetings at Davos in 2014 and 2016.

And yet when McCarthy was selected to be Speaker of the House, he paraded himself that he would no longer allow blank checks to Ukraine, and would hold Biden and Dems accountable, and blah, blah, blah… And yet Dan Bongino, this supposed patriot, a shill for Fox News (though is independent now), when McCarthy was selected, had the audacity and moxie to say, “It was a glorious thing to watch, and I have never been prouder of our country.” If that doesn’t tell you what he’s about…

Whelp, here we are know, just like I said what the deal was then (though you did not me to tell you the obvious), and McCarthy obviously was just a puppet; and now, there were more fiery speeches and debates, all just so they can kick out McCarthy to insert yet another WEF shill.
