Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, released a slew of new technologies last week at the Meta Connect 2023 event, September 27th, introducing things like a new augmented reality headset and new artificial intelligence chatbots emulating famous celebrities.
One of the first things debuted by Zuckerberg was the new Meta Quest 3, a mixed reality headset, which allows users to see the living world but with tons of new animations layered on top and interacts with the current environment. Zuckerberg claims this is “the most powerful headset we have ever shipped.”
As Mark explained, the headset maps out the room with a number of different sensors to better interact with your environment. Zuckerberg also showed how users, for example, will be able to watch multiple screens and viewer experiences at once, such as being able to watch a number of sports matches at the same time. He also noted that Meta has partnered with Microsoft’s Xbox to integrate some of their games with the headset.
Leading off of this, next year Meta will be launching Meta Augments, which basically will provide digital furniture and trappings to flesh out one’s room while wearing the headset. These are “persistent, spatially anchored digital objects that you can interact with,” Mark said.
Moving onto the next set of announcements, Zuckerberg then explained the new AI chatbots that people can fully interact with.
The way this is going to work is – people are going to be able to interact with these AIs across the whole Meta universe of products.
They’re going to have profiles, like Instagram and Facebook, and you’ll be able to interact with them, and eventually they are going to be embodied as avatars, and live and be able to interact with them in the metaverse, too.
This isn’t just going to be about answering queries. This is about entertainment.
He added NFL quarterback Tom Brady will play an AI avatar called ‘Bru’, “a wisecracking sports debater” and YouTube celebrity MrBeast will play ‘Zach’, a big brother “who will roast you.”
While that is still in development and open for beta testing for users to add their own creations, Meta has already been creating some of their own. With this comes Meta AI, which basically appears to be a new AI system to rival Chat-GPT and Bard. Users can ask this AI, with fake personas attached, a seemingly infinite number of questions about anything.
Furthermore, the Meta CEO also announced Meta Studio, a sandbox that allows users to help train and grow the AI by feeding it more information and giving it more requests. This too can be imported to the metaverse and interactable with those synthetic personas users create.
These AIs will be able be embodied as avatars. You’ll be able to make them as NPCs in the different games and experiences that you build, and all the different Horizon worlds, and I think that’s going to be really neat.

Lastly, Zuckerberg showcased the new and improved Ray-Ban Meta glasses, that allow wearers to augment reality to a lesser extent but still take pictures and videos while still clearly seeing the actual world. They will also have livestream capabilities. These smart glasses will now have AI in them.
These are the first smart glasses that are built and shipping with Meta AI in them.

WALL-E Blobs And A Miserable Future
Earlier this year Apple came out with their own augmented reality headset called the Apple Vision Pro, which works similarly to Meta’s newest headset.
The headset was released in June but not everyone was satisficed with this new product, and what it means for the future going forward.
Allison Johnson for The Verge fears Apple’s headset (and now Meta’s for that matter), will cheapen and ruin life.
Maybe it will usher in a blissful utopia where we are all tuned into our surroundings as much or as little as we would like to be. Maybe it’s a really expensive way to look dumb in the comfort of your own home. But I think there’s one thing that’s for sure: it looks lonely as hell.
But even though it’s not supposed to totally take you out of reality, by design, it puts you at the center of your own little screen-filled world. That’s an inherently more isolated experience than interacting with a 6-inch screen that you hold in your hand. How do you show someone a funny TikTok you just watched in your headset? How do you watch a cute video you took of your kid with your spouse? How do you show everyone on your FaceTime call that your cat just jumped into your lap? Won’t Apple please think of the pet moments we’re going to miss?
Putting a screen on your head when you want to zone out and watch Netflix is one thing, but Apple’s not selling this as just a screen for your face. You’re supposed to be able to walk around your home, grab a drink from the fridge, and interact with your spouse while you wear it. In fact, Apple’s promotional video portrays it almost exclusively as something you wear at home alone.

Popular YouTuber Moon also highlighted the dystopian nature of Apple’s (and now Meta’s) headsets, how it will only serve to strip away what bit of happiness remains in people’s lives, and further detach people from reality – a current reality that has already been infected with smartphone and social media addiction. Moon adds that this will only amplify many people’s addictions, vices, and delusions, trapping them in their own little echo chamber.
Many commentors picked up on this as well. Some of the comments include:
“The way that Apple tried to normalize child/parent interaction through a holographic bit of glass was dystopian.” – @ryanmooncat3949
“If you can predict the problems a new piece of technology can bring, it’s almost certainly too late to stop it.” – @sommelanin
“I’m not scared of the vision pro. I’m scared of the reason, that we as a society, need it.” – @stefansommer3579
“This is a stepping stone for having pc chip being implanted directly into your visual cortex, and having a VR/AR overlay directly over your flied of vision.” – @emf321
“The whole “you will own nothing, and be happy” I think is very much a part of this. I see people living in just sterile apartments that are made for augmented reality, where your whole life just takes place there and you rarely go outside, because everyone interacts via headsets. You would need a couch a bed, a chair and a table. The bug meat patty you are eating in real life would look like a delicious steak in augmented reality, the soy protein drink could be flavored to taste like anything you want and the color would reflect that in AR. I mean what is there to own at that point? You don’t need books, music, tv, art, flowers, home decorations… nothing… it call would just be inside your headset, and the funny thing is, you will still work and pay for something that doesn’t exist…. ugh.” @RW-ij1ci
Even Jack Dorsey, the formal CEO of Twitter (now called X) also believes where all of this is going is not good. During an interview in June Dorsey feared that people are being goaded to accept a lifestyle seen in the popular Disney Pixar film WALL-E, where people are living in a giant ship floating in outer space because the earth was over-polluted, where the ships inhabitants did completely nothing and were serviced by robots and the ship’s AI.
That’s the future we’re driving towards—with everyone in the floating chairs, drinking their food out of straws, and constant 24/7 entertainment.
I’m super worried and concerned with how out of touch it might make people and how it distances us further.
You can see that like the whole world is headed this way and I want to believe that there’s a different answer. So it’s going to happen. I’m skeptical about some of the benefits and I hope we can have an honest conversation around some of the harms of more and more social distancing.

What Dorsey is referring to can be seen in this short clip from the movie:
AUTHOR COMMENTARY
On February 1st, 2021, I reported on the World Economic Forum’s horrifying life by 2030, citing one of their essays; and some of you may recall that I had actually referenced WALL-E as what these maniacs are trying to usher in. With Dorsey’s statement and what we can see from these new headsets, and literally creating our own little storybook worlds and lives, the WALL-E comparison is not too difficult to imagine at this point; especially when you consider in the movie that the AI eventually grew and got too smart it kept everyone in their isolated bubbles so it could stay in control.

This AI reality, this metaverse garbage they are trying to shove on us, and they will, for the sheeple that accept it eventually, is this passage but on a whole new level of steroids:
[17] This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, [18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: [19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. Ephesians 4:17-19
Per the statements from Apple, Meta, and these other technomaniacs, this metaverse and AI virtual reality realm will truly fulfil and give new meaning to Satan’s original promise to Eve in the garden of Eden, “ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:5).
Truly this metaverse is some terrifying stuff when you begin to realize just how sickenly insidious and demented it truly is.
As I have indicated before, I believe that this metaverse crap is described and prophesized in the book of Revelation; and when the Lord pours out his wrath on the nations during that time, the people will curse God because their fake reality has been destroyed. It truly puts the mark of the beast into perspective, turned into this cyborg with no real conscience anymore.
[10] And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth. [11] And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them. Revelation 11:10-11
Truly, “You’ll own nothing and be happy.”
It is also worth reminding that the headset is just a stepping stone: these big-tech madmen have said that by 2030 smartphones will be integrated into people.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

WALL-E wasn’t a movie, it was a warning!
NOPE, I’ll stay on God’s creation; earth, dirt, trees and animals and bugs and a KJV Bible.
That stuff is just plain retarded!!
You know back in the past before and the first few years that I was saved I was addicted to evil hollywood and backsliding against God, but when the Lord took me away from that evil stuff, I had realized of how much time that I lost, I can’t imagen how much time this people will lose. Thank God he took me away from that wicked stuff.
This might seem random but, there’s talk online about how “headsets” are making a “dent” in peoples heads, usually gamers. I don’t know how true this is but, I thought this would be information to share. It could just be because they wear them tight or something.
Yeah, I’ve heard about that, too. Would not be stocked.
