“For the first time in the history of the world, what we’re witnessing here is a fleet of robots building an entire community of homes,” said the CEO of the development company.

Construction workers are being phased-out more and more as robotics come in to replace them. Now they are building entire neighborhoods lickety-split. A Texas town near Austin is set to invite new homeowners into a new suburb 3D-printed by robots.

Overseen by development company Lennar, ICON, and Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), who announced their ambitious project to create the largest community of 3D-printed homes in the U.S., the construction company will now soon allow prospecting buyers take a gander at the homes.

Reported by Builder, ‘The community’s first fully furnished model home is now open for scheduled tours and Lennar has sold several homes already, with the first homeowners targeted to move in this fall.’

The network of homes are situated ‘alongside the San Gabriel River in the hills of Georgetown, Texas, the Wolf Ranch development by Hillwood Communities, a Perot company, blends the Texas hill country with access to the entire Austin metro area,’ Builder added.

Called “The Genesis Collection,” this suburban neighborhood features 100 homes, with 8 floor plans, 24 elevations, and abodes scaling from 1,500 to 2,100 square feet with three to four bedrooms.

The price range varies from $475,000 to $599,000.

ICON, one of the main contractors involved, states that the homes are built with ‘advanced materials, engineering, and 3D robotics,’ which purportedly the homes stronger, more resilient, and better energy-efficient.

With precise robotic construction, the wall systems are delivered with accuracy and reduced waste and are designed to be resistant to water, mold, termites, and fire damage. In structural tests, ICON reports the wall system exceeded strength requirements by more than 350%.

Each home is then topped with a standing seam metal roof, designed to be durable, energy-efficient, fire-resistant, and equipped with all-weather photovoltaic solar panels.

Jason Ballard, co-founder and CEO at ICON, said in a statement roughly two years ago when construction began:

For the first time in the history of the world, what we’re witnessing here is a fleet of robots building an entire community of homes.

And not just any homes, homes that are better in every way … better design, higher strength, higher energy performance and comfort, and increased resiliency.

Moreover, Stuart Miller, executive chairman of Lennar, announced at the time:

We are very pleased to partner with ICON and BIG in building a first-of-its-kind, printed-home community that combines innovative designs with sustainable features at an affordable price.

Given the housing shortage that persists across the country, it has never been more important to innovate in order to find new methods of construction that will enable greater design flexibility and greater production at affordable prices.

Last year The WinePress reported that a similar 3D-printed neighborhood was being constructed in Rancho Mirage in Coachella Valley, near Palm Springs, California. The prices of their homes are similar to BIG’s, and made with closely related building materials.

Like many industries these days, the construction field is feeling a continued shortage of workers, as the demand for a new home remains hot with inventory unable to keep pace.

So, do you think you are paying nearly $600K for one of these?

By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.

Ecclesiastes 10:18

Year-over-year new construction in the modern era continues to find new ways to keep cutting corners and doing less and less. There is a reason why the homes of old are still standing because they are well-built and a lot of care was put into it, using reliable materials and structures, being built to last; versus now where the homes were slapped together with cheap materials and stupid buildings codes made-up out of thin-air, and built with cheap labor that’ll work for bread crumbs.

I would not trust one of these homes whatsoever. I’m sure everything will be fine for the most part, but I definitely don’t want to be living in one of these places, that’s for sure.

But, besides that, once again we are seeing workers of all kinds being phased-out and replaced with machines and AI, further adding to and exacerbating the economic woes being felt, as more staff gets replaced.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Veeerrrrry creepy looking. Sterile looking like a hospital ward. Surreal looking. The stuff of a Twilight Zone episode. Not for me. Probably loaded with spyware and AI to “control” lights, garage doors, door locks, ring cameras and of course…………….the people inside. You will be watched by hidden cameras in every room. Orwell could not have dreamed up a better nightmare. Look at the plants. Neat little rows of puffy plants like something from a kid’s doll house. In fact the homes LOOK fake like doll houses little girls play with

  • The name uta tell ya what it is: Wolf Ranch and it’s just 3d printed concrete, how about devil ranch.
I suppose the robots need homes too…LOL

    • Oh but the collection of elevations & floorplans are called Genesis Collection. They act as if we don’t notice all this spellcasting they do. I believe robots put up those roof trusses like I believe Satan…. Not.

  • This is a “nothing burger”. What is, or should be noticeable in these pics, is the absence of the robotic laborers. All we’re seeing here are model mock-ups; nothing concrete. We have much more to be concerned over than such a frivolous distraction. We know, or should know what this is all about and where it wants to take humanity…to extinction. God has other plans, so for those who know Him, pls keep your eyes upon Jesus. Do as He said, “Let the dead bury their dead.” Luke 9: 60.

Here’s what two brothers in Christ are showing us that should be of utmost concern:

Another lockdown, MANDATORY and more strict! https://youtu.be/2S8hS1fH0AE
What the plan is: https://youtu.be/3zhfrRXmLOU I looked up and saved copies of this! Nobody will believe it unless they see it for themselves.
