According to a press release published on a state website, this move will now create pathway for an estimated 81,000 people to now receive an official license.
If you’re one of the estimated 81,000 Minnesotans who will become eligible for a driver’s license when Driver’s License for All (DL4All) goes into effect Oct. 1, we don’t need to tell you how important that card can be. The ability to drive legally can let you take a higher-paying job further away, open a bank account to avoid high check-cashing fees or buy car insurance.
With the implementation of DL4All less than a month away, the time is now to get ready to get your license. Our Driver and Vehicle Services (DVS) division has put together a guide to help you navigate the process — which will be the same for everyone, regardless of immigration status — after Oct. 1.
After Oct. 1, Minnesota will no longer require proof of legal presence; however, you will need to provide proof of your identity with documents either in English or translated into English.

We live in Ohio. I remember being shocked when taking youngest daughter for her license & driving exam. Accidents were ramping up due to the alcohol & machismo attitude of the influx of foreigners to the area & many in law enforcement etc were frustrated by it….but, while U.S. citizen born & bred daughter had to actually read, take her test & pass it, there was a young non-English speaker there with a ‘helpful’ interpreter who was given both questions AND answers, basically a ‘pass’, and that was well over ten years ago.

I speak Spanish. Explained a thing or two about the raising accident rates….and it saddened me, because we used to work those jobs as teenagers before everyone was herded away from it as ‘beneath them’ so that the children could play harlot cheerleader & sports for the gubmint grubs: counting them as nothing really but chits with chunks of money attached for the dumbucation and demoralization, ‘social services helps’ industries. Nobody liked hearing THAT in the transforming churches, you can bet on it….and our little family took the hits from the shadows for us even DARING to speak of it. Both from the corporate consolidated chemical farming types who got rich buying up the little productive & honestly run family farms, orchards etc…..AND from the lean on me, social justice, Peace Corps fake ‘mi$$ional’ types. All you have to do is censor the offense of the cross & the distinctives of the faith, follow the ever-corrupting ‘bibles’ down the Romans 1 decline to become bigger & richer.
