“AI is now a ubiquitous part of everyday life for much of the world—perhaps even akin to the pervasiveness of God,” the researchers said.

The following report is by Decrypt:

Does active belief in a higher power correlate with ready acceptance of what an AI chatbot says? A new study by Nazarbayev and Duke universities suggests just that, noting that people who are regularly “thinking about” God appear to be more open to hearing what artificial intelligence has to say.

The researchers were investigating the psychological factors that influence people’s attitudes toward AI-based recommendations. Specifically, the researchers explored the role of “God’s” salience in decision-making and whether thinking about God makes people more or less likely to trust AI systems over human experts.”

The study asked participants to write about God and their daily activities. The participants would then choose between two options: one proffered by a human, and one suggested by an AI. The experiments ranged from relatively benign decisions like what to eat to more life-changing decisions like investments and romantic partners.

Several study groups were convened with varying demographic details. Researchers said Study 1 began with 405 US-based participants but ended with 321 participants after removing those who failed the attention check or had duplicate IP addresses. Study 2d included 191 participants from Turkey. Study 6 involved 53,563 participants from over 21 countries.

The results suggest that people were more receptive to AI advice due to feelings of humility and recognition of human flaws.

Artificial intelligence—once merely the draw and drama of science fiction—is now a feature of everyday life. AI is commonly used to generate recommendations, from the movies we watch to the medical procedures we endure.

As AI recommendations become increasingly prevalent and the world grapples with its benefits and costs, it is important to understand the factors that shape whether people accept or reject AI-based recommendations.

The study said.

In one experiment, researchers played religious music in a dentist’s office waiting room for over a week and asked participants to choose between omega-3/fish oil supplements.

In preregistered study 2d, conducted in a dental clinic in Turkey, we manipulated God salience through the music played in the waiting room. We alternated playing either a religious or nonreligious instrumental traditional Turkish song in the waiting room over 8 [days] of data collection.

The researchers said.

Researchers said the experiment showed participants who listened to religious music were likelier to choose the AI-suggested fish oil than those who didn’t.

AI is now a ubiquitous part of everyday life for much of the world—perhaps even akin to the pervasiveness of God. Given the diminished role of humans when viewed in relation to God and within AI operations, might there be a relationship between how thoughts of God affect people’s reactions to AI?

Researchers said.

The study also hoped to understand how and why thinking about God might influence individuals’ willingness to consider AI-based suggestions.

While the study did not say how long the experiment ran, the researchers said they focused on religion because it is one factor prevalent across nearly every society. Experts have warned against the reliance on artificial intelligence and its effects on the human brain, especially concerning children who easily form bonds with inanimate objects.

Many of life’s most consequential decisions—deciding which medical procedure to undergo, which romantic partner to pursue, which financial or legal paths to follow, etc.—can now be largely delegated to artificial intelligence.

Empowered by algorithms that very often surpass humans in their efficiency and accuracy, AI has the potential to significantly affect people’s well-being and the world’s economy.

The researchers said.

“We predict that thoughts of God will weaken the extent to which consumers favor humans over algorithms, driven by feelings of a small self and a recognition of human limitations,” the study continued, adding that the study employed different methods of heightening “the salience of God to establish a causal relationship between God salience and algorithm aversion.”

Paradoxically, while the study said people who thought often about God were more likely to accept AI-generated suggestions, it also pointed out that people tend to have a negative bias toward algorithms.

People are particularly likely to assume that humans are more capable than algorithms when it involves making judgments for contexts that are subjective or hedonic in nature, or those that require empathy and a consideration of individual uniqueness.

The study said.

Duke University and Nazarbayev University have not yet responded to Decrypt’s request for comment.

[17] And the residue thereof he maketh a god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god. [18] They have not known nor understood: for he hath shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

Isaiah 44:17-18

As I have said before in other articles about AI, it is become the new gods of the people to seek their wisdom and knowledge from; and whether or not someone professed to acknowledge God’s existence means nothing, for as time goes on more people are going to trust in it as their deliverer regardless, and as their means of dictating their lives to the fullest.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Only take the advise of what the KJV 1611 says; which are the inspired words of God,
2Pe 1:21  For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
No more needs to be said!

  • Universities are Scholastic modeled, common ground pits of Hell deceptively promoted as places to seek knowledge & wisdom from devilish men& women of craft standing in the place of the ‘restrictive’ true & living God, & his word. Straight out from Alexandria, Egypt.

This reminded me of what those investigating Communist torture techniques (where the corporatists & Rome, Mammon & euthanasia death cults, transferred their Inquisitional ‘disciplines’ & ‘techniques’, & continued their ‘experimentation’ post-World War II)….back when there was more truth in non-centralized & ‘master’-controlled publishing.

Humanistically & ‘higher’, liberally educated people….including nicolaitan philosophical seminarians….were those most likely to crack under torture & to turn traitor.

    They were ‘open minded’.

Meanwhile, the toughest to break were the black airmen or soldiers who trusted no man but their own tight, proven circle….and the Lord Jesus Christ according to the King James Bible who taught them to strive against ALL sin, including their own, while taking nothing for granted. Hunter’s classic work on brainwashing with awareness of the influence of Christian men like Booker T. Washington who chose his post-slavery name for a reason (as did also Sojourner Truth). They didn’t take refuge in pretense, lies & deception about the universal constant of sin as these ‘new & improved’ have been led into doing.

They had none of that ‘traditional values’ humanistic garbage ‘improving’ or mucking up the words of God: just straight King James Bible & the Spirit coming of it to all who humbly receive it with faith: and repentance part & parcel of faith.

The ‘Great Society’ garbage & humanistic ‘helps’ took care of that, moving on to dumb down & demoralize, blameshift & destroy the rest of American society formerly rooted in the King James Bible fulfillment of Psalm 12.

Those nicolaitans & ‘masters’ who clung to the Geneva & its Augustinian, philosophized & politicized footnotes were ‘HUGE’ (to quote one of their own), in the conspiracies & attacks against saving faith & the Book, and amongst the first traitors to fall back to Mama wolf.

Don’t forget that Adolf Hitler’s name meant ‘Noble Wolf’, and that he was lauded publicly & posthumously as a faithful son of Rome…..nor Project Paperclip and the Ratlines. Fascism & communism are just arms attached to the same common Harlot. To the Jew first, then to the Greek/Gentile… Romans 11 and Isaiah 3:12 As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths.

Job 19:22 Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

Job 19:23 ¶ Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book!
Job 19:24 That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock for ever!
Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:
Job 19:26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:
Job 19:27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me.

  • A problem I see with this “study” is that far too many people claim to believe in God, but they give no definition of their “God”. “…the devils also believe, and tremble.” (James 2: 19). To become a Freemason, one only has to believe in “a higher power”; that can be anything to each person, but not the God of the Holy Bible (King James).

Equally problematic, is that many church-goers believe they’re Christians, but they’re not, because they’ve never received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord.

Having said this, the problem is: the study may allegedly be tainted because it may not have had truly born again, Spirit-filled Christians as participants. They may only have had claimants. Therefore, the outcome of this study is going to deceive a lot of unsuspecting readers who are devoid of the Holy Spirit and discernment. AI probably wrote up the “study”, if truth be told.

We are truly living in the final hours of the last days for the Church. Little wonder why Jesus answered as He did in Mt. 24: 4, when the disciples asked Him for a sign of the end of the world:

“Take heed; let no man deceive you.”

That was the very first warning, and the following verse is more specific. That was an excellent directive in simpler times; now, we have the very complex, subtle, and indistinguishable AI component to deal with. Jesus has to come soon, otherwise as He said, “…there would be no flesh saved.” Deception could possibly lead to the demise of the Remnant. Maybe today! Maranatha!
