“My personal biggest interest in it is it could allow same-sex couples to be able to have biological children together as well. Yeah, I’m gay, and it’s something that got me so personally interested in this in the first place.”

San Franciscan-based biotech company is looking to completely revolutionize the birthing process by artificially creating babies in a petri dish and incubating them, an ambitious desire the startup says they hope their company will be able to give infertile women the opportunity to have a children, along with same-sex couples who cannot biologically have children.

NPR published a detail report into the process last week titled “Startup aims to make lab-grown human eggs, transforming options for creating families.”

Conception, the name of the firm, states on their website:

We want to help parents have kids, and we aspire to make future generations healthier.

We are working on a technology, called in-vitro gametogenesis (IVG), that would give women the opportunity to have children well into their forties and fifties, eliminate barriers for couples suffering from infertility, and potentially allow male-male couples to have biological children.

Long term, this technology could be a critical platform allowing for widespread genetic screening of embryos. If proven safe, it could even eliminate and reduce the risk of devastating diseases for future generations – such as Alzheimer’s, heart disease and many different types of cancers.

This could become one of the most important technologies ever created.

Co-founder told Pablo Hurtado NPR in a statement:

I personally think what we’re doing will probably change many aspects of society as we know it. It’s really exciting to be working on a technology that can change the lives of millions of humans.

There is something intrinsic about sharing a life that is half me and half my husband. I don’t have that capacity right now. I am devoting my life to trying to change that.

The chief scientific officer explained, referring to giving same-sex marriages the opportunity to have an unique child of their own

Matt Krisiloff, another co-founder, concurred:

My personal biggest interest in it is it could allow same-sex couples to be able to have biological children together as well. Yeah, I’m gay, and it’s something that got me so personally interested in this in the first place.

NPR added, ‘IVG could create eggs from one of Hurtado’s cells that could then be fertilized with sperm from his partner. A surrogate mother could then carry the resulting embryo through to the birth of a baby genetically related to both men. IVG could also create sperm for lesbian couples, allowing them to have babies with genes from both women. Transgender couples could also use IVG to have biologically related babies.’

How big of a deal it is for the world? I think it’s going to be pretty big. And for individuals, I think it’s going to be life changing.

Bianka Seres testified

NPR goes onto detail the process: ‘Hurtado starts by putting a sample of induced pluripotent stem cells that the company created from human blood cells under a microscope. Under the microscope, the colonies look silvery blue, almost like crystals or clumps of snowflakes. Next, Hurtado pulls a clear round dish out of an incubator. The company’s scientists created the primordial cells by exposing induced pluripotent stem cells to a special protein elixir. This ingredient coaxed them into developing into cells that could become either sperm or eggs.’

These are primordial germ-cell-like cells.

They already decided that they are going to become an egg or a sperm, but they haven’t decided yet that they are going to become an egg, and that’s something we do later on.

Hurtado explained

‘Within a year, Krisiloff and his colleagues hope, they’ll prove that the follicles in the mini-ovaries can develop the immature eggs into ones capable of being fertilized to make embryos and babies,’ NPR added.

We think it means we’re quite close to being able to have proof-of-concept human eggs — instead of this abstract idea that’s really just an imaginative science fiction idea — that really indicates that, ‘Hey, this technology is actually closer than people think.'” ‘

AUTHOR COMMENTARY

The article goes on to detail the process some more, and acknowledge the naysayers and people who don’t this is even achievable in the scientific space.

Once again we can add this to the list of more reprobates trying to play God and somehow outdo, and correct his “mistakes.” The WinePress has been reporting on similar ambitions scientists around the world are working on. While this may still be a bit a ways off from a “final product,” this field is rapidly advancing, and is allowed to be carried out as if it is normal.

Romans 1:18-32 explains this whole godless mess:

[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; [19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. [20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: [21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. [22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, [23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. [24] Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: [25] Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. [26] For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: [27] And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. [28] And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; [29] Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, [30] Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, [31] Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: [32] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Romans 1:18-32

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
