Index Biosystems, a Canadian-based biotech firm, have a created a microscopic biometric barcode that allows companies and producers to track the point of origin of food products.
This invisible barcode was created with baker’s yeast, a leavening agent and a single-cell microorganism, with water, has been merged with Index’s proprietary tracking software, creating what the company calls a “BioTag.”
Nature’s code – DNA – provides an elegant way to design uniquely identifiable BioTags™ from baker’s yeast. BioTags are microscopic barcodes that securely link a product to its supply chain data.
Together with our Trailhead software, this complete solution enables true supply chain digitization and provides reliable product identification.
The company says it on their website
This BioTag is then sprayed on the produce such as wheat and remains very sticky, even surviving the milling process when the grains are turned into flour. From then on anyone can scan the physical product to see where it originated from.
“These microscopic fingerprints are not visible to the naked eye and cannot be adulterated or removed from the product onto which it is applied,” the company adds.
In order to scan the product, the company utilizes molecular detection techniques such as DNA sequencing scans or a Polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test – the same testing measures used the past several years when testing for Covid-19 infections.
‘Every BioTag includes a unique identifying sequence that is stored in Trailhead™, Index’s digital registry. Trailhead acts as the link between the physical BioTag and the digital supply chain, and can be securely integrated with existing traceability software through a simple API. Trailhead entries contain data related to its manufacturing, client and intended use, along with any additional information that may be relevant to the value chain,’ Index further notes.
The company says that if produce is found to have E.coli, for example, and needs to be recalled, the BioTag can simply be scanned and immediately locate the point of origin.
CEO Mike Borg said in a statement that combined with the company’s BioTags and GS1 standards, they can verify the carbon footprint of a slice of bread.
The WinePress has previously reported on pushes to introduce carbon footprint labels on food packaging, along with stickers that warn about the alleged negative health effects of eating meat.
The technology has already received regulatory approval from the US FDA & Health Canada.

Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.
Proverbs 1:31
Never once on the website do they ever discuss the health effects and actual safety results on this. But once again this exemplifies how corrupt the FDA is, including Canada Health.
This type of tech can very easily be used to track the purchasing and consumption of the products, which is necessary for a truly effect social credit score system, so everything is put through a precise register.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

I don’t understand all this moronic preoccupation with carbon. I was taught that carbon is the building block of all life forms. Organic chemistry is basically the chemistry of carbon. And now it is being vilified? Same with carbon dioxide, which plants take out of the air to give us oxygen. Will oxygen become the next bad guy on the block soon? This is stupidity beyond belief. To quote Ruckman, “how these people must suffer” who get caught up in all this science, falsely so-called pushed by our corrupt media.
