The Satanic Temple describes these clubs as “an after school program that promotes self-directed education by supporting the intellectual and creative interests of students.” The clubs are only introduced at schools where other religious clubs reside and “and will only open a club if other religious groups are operating on campus,” the Temple states on their website.
ASSC exists to provide a safe and inclusive alternative to the religious clubs that use threats of eternal damnation to convert school children to their belief system. Unlike our counterparts, who publicly measure their success in young children’s “professions of faith,” the After School Satan Club program focuses on science, critical thinking, creative arts, and good works for the community. While engaged in all of these activities, we want clubgoers to have a good time.
Proselytization is not our goal, and we’re not interested in converting children to Satanism. After School Satan Clubs will focus on free inquiry and rationalism, the scientific basis for which we know what we know about the world around us.
We prefer to give children an appreciation of the natural wonders surrounding them, not a fear of everlasting other-worldly horrors.
The program also offers a course for children K-5 called the “Hellion Academy of Independent Learning” (HAIL), by “Educatin’ with Satan,” and emphasizes “free inquiry and rationalism, [and] the scientific basis for which we know what we know about the world around us.”
After the Satanic Temple was founded in 2014, in 2016 they rolled out their After School Satan Clubs and announced that they would be introduced in a small number of schools throughout the country.
The clubs have since seen an increased growth in popularity since 2020, June Everett, campaign director of the After School Satan Club, recently told The Hill.
That’s kind of when things started blowing up. And I anticipate that every year moving forward is going to get busier and busier.
We just came out with a book that is like the children’s version – or I should say a very sweet way to interpret – the tenets in a very understanding way that children could understand. So we might start actually using this book to talk to the kids about our seven tenets.
We have a lot of big plans for next school year.
Everett said, adding that they are trying to get into more high schools but has proven to be a bit tougher
Rose Bastet, who has worked with the Satanic Temple for four years, says “We’re definitely not interested in having children identify as satanists.”
Bastet helped to organize and register a club at B.M. Williams Primary in Chesapeake, Virginia, in October 2020. “They finally approved us, and that’s when it hit the news. And, oh, the media here just went insane.” Bomb threats were then levied at the school just three days after the first school meeting.
The local Christian mom groups, everything, they really stirred up a ruckus, making it seem like we were doing something nefarious. They tried to intimidate me by releasing my legal name.
One of our meetings a couple of months ago, we learned about Virginia native bats. This last meeting, we had one of the parents in the club volunteer to bring in a bunch of bones and fossils that she and her husband have found in Virginia.
Bastet said
The most recently added club is in Pennsylvania, ironically in a town called “Hellertown.” The club attempted to start earlier in the year but faced legal troubles getting established, ending in a judge ruling that the school must allow the club to exist at the Saucon Valley School District.
The judge ruled in favor of the club claiming to defend the 1st Amendment.
When confronted with a challenge to free speech, the government’s first instinct must be to forward expression rather than quash it. Particularly when the content is controversial or inconvenient. Nothing less is consistent with the expressed purpose of American government to secure the core, innate rights of its people.
Here, although The Satanic Temple, Inc.’s objectors may challenge the sanctity of this controversially named organization, the sanctity of the First Amendment’s protections must prevail.
U.S. District Court Judge John M. Gallagher said in a statement
The announcement was made to add the club in February but faced heavy pushback.
The Inquirer wrote: ‘But things really heated up when a caller, upset about the After School Satan Club, left the district a voice mail threatening to come and “shoot everybody.” All Saucon Valley schools were closed the next day as a precaution. Shortly after, a 20-year-old North Carolina man was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.’
‘Days after the threatening call, the Saucon Valley superintendent withdrew the district’s approval. Not long after that, supporters of the After School Satan Club turned to the courts,’ the outlet added.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania, who represented the Satanic Temple in this case, said in a statement when the judge ruled in their favor:
We’re very pleased that the court saw the school district’s justification for canceling the contract was basically just a pretext for viewpoint discrimination because of community opposition toward the club. And of course, we’re very glad that the club’s going to be able to meet during this school year on the same terms as other clubs have been allowed to meet.
Sara Rose, the state ACLU’s deputy legal director, said

[3] Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts. [4] Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. [5] Because they regard not the works of the LORD, nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up. Psalms 28:3-5
Typical atheist-loser nonsense. ‘Oh, we’re not here to preach Satan to your kids, will just invoke his name and strive with religious groups so we can be more inclusive,’ they’ll say.
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

it would be better for them if a millstone were hanged about their neck & they were cast into the sea than face God’s judgement for child abuse. it is coming for so many who have messed with any child in any form.
Luke 17:2
King James Version
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.
Matthew 18:6
King James Version
6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Satanic Christ-rejecting King James Bible – rejecting LOSERS!
They’re worshipping a CREATED BEING who is created and subservient to Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ is satan’s commanding officer!
After School Satan Clubs don’t want to believe sin and hell exists but they
want to believe Satan exists. Bible states all 3 exist. I think they have a problem.
Not a word about one of the principles of the Satanic Temple, Lucien Greaves, (pseudonym of course). Who also claims not to believe in this nonsense either but is only involved to support the first amendment rights of the adherents. He was also instrumental in the drive recently in Texas to get recognition for abortion as an important sacrament to the same movement. I became personally aware of this man’s work five years ago when I was trying to council a former homosexual who was trying to recover from a life of abuse at the hands of his own father and step-mother. Lucien Greaves led a brigade of on line demons in tormenting the young man using all of the familiar techniques that we have since associated with Antifa. Everything from verbal phone messages, death threats, doxing with the local sheriffs deputies, false and malicious slander on the internet and to potential employers, local service entities, etc. You should know by now, if not intuitively through your work with the lord that these tactics come straight out of hell and in no way be countered by physical threats real or otherwise. We are in fact, dealing with spiritual powers that have demonstratively been rendered ineffective in the Gospels by our own Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, using prayer and self sacrifice and uncompromising compassion for the victims. Indeed: Mathew 4, 2 -11 condensed…..”Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” Probably not what old scratch expected to hear after 40 days fasting when he came to press his foot on his throat and/or offer the world which was never his to give. The evil one is losing fast and is now attempting to manifest his power in the world and the only way we have to overcome him is to refute him in our own lives and die if necessary to protect the children from his wiles. AMEN?!
