Non-registered citizens of the United States can now get officially hired as a police officer in the state of California.
California Senate Bill 960 now allows anyone who is legally able to work in the U.S., regardless of their nationality and citizenship.
‘Now, anyone who can legally work in the state under federal law, can be a police officer, regardless of citizenship,’ CBS 8 reported.
The San Francisco Police Department is reportedly one of the first departments to embrace the change, according to KTVU.
The SFPD claims inclusivity is a priority of theirs and this new policy change exemplifies such, adding that this change was implemented due to “the need to attract candidates from all communities and allow them to serve the local areas they live in.”
State Senator Nancy Skinner who authored the bill claims that this in no way means that undocumented workers can be hired. A person has to have full legal work authorization, under federal law; people who pay taxes and have every ability to work legally in the U.S. She claims that this will not weaken the forces and that all applicants must still pass the same tests and requirements.
When you look at California’s rules, almost every other profession, lawyers, doctors… even firefighters… are able to be part of that profession as long as they have full legal authorization, full federal legal work authorization. It was only our sworn officers we restricted that way.
Ironically in the military, you could be an officer in the military, and you could not be a peace officer in California. So that’s why we felt it was totally right to fix the rule.
We are not forcing any police department or law enforcement agency to hire that category of people. We’re just removing the restriction that has been removed in the military. It has been removed for firefighters, for lawyers, for doctors. So we felt like it was appropriate to also remove it for our police officers.
[The California Police Chiefs Association] were completely in support of the bill because they are struggling to fill vacancies. They are struggling to recruit people for their academies, so they felt like, ‘why would we restrict people that otherwise meet all of our requirements from being able to serve their communities in this way?’ Skinner said
The San Diego Police Officers Association (SDPOA) did not support the bill but acknowledge its has some benefits.
The San Diego Police Department has lost over 500 officers since July of 2020. That’s drastic. We need everyone we can to be able to be a police officer. However, we are not in favor of reducing the requirements and lowering the standard.
The public demands and deserves a high quality police force and officers that meet stringent standards, so we’re not in favor of low in these standards at all.
However, I think there’s a handful of people who have been in this country a long time we’ll be able to hire as a result of this, and hopefully they become citizens, but lowering standards is not the right answer to fill in our ranks.

What else is new in California? The media, lawmakers, and police have done their best to try avoid stating the obvious, that they are now literally allowing illegal aliens to work in the police field, and focus on the quality instead of the legality. What could go wrong?
Most of your county and city police stations, especially those in the South-Western states and along the Southern border, are run by gangs, mafia, and cartels as is. All this bill is going to allow are these nefarious and criminalities to be performed in broad daylight, and nothing can be really done about it; because if they are not registered citizens, (and knowing how liberals love to treat illegals), they will be absolved from anything they do, the way I see it.
You thought the drug smuggling, kidnapping and rape was bad before? Buckle your seatbelts, boys and girls, cause now it’s about to go thermal nuclear.
But the police in this country are a law unto themselves. How do I know that? Well, simple: look at the flag they fly. They don’t fly Old Glory like all us common folk and the military fly – they get to fly The Thin Blue Line, and you and I get to pay for it; as these people fine, harass, beat, arrest, kill, murder, steal from Americans day in and day out.
But this is the United States in 2023. Illegals can now charge and arrest LEGAL, taxpaying American citizens!

If it gets to the point that we have to physically fight these tyrants, I just want everyone to know, these guys suck at gunfighting and small unit tactics. One of their SOP’s is to bum rush through doorways without clearing from the outside, its like lemmings jumping off a cliff. Also, the quality of recruits and training has gone down significantly, just like what’s happening in the big military
