The United States Internal Revenue Service under President Biden are locking and loading, recently revealing that they will be hiring 1,200 gun-toting IRS agents in all 50 states.
Under President Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act, roughly $80 billion of the $1.7 trillion was allocated to increases with the IRS, that being adding 87,000 new agents to collect taxes and enforce audits. The 87K injection of new agents would not happen overnight but over the course of years. This latest enlistment of 1,200 is just the first of many waves to come.
IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel confirmed this on April 27th, cited by Americans for Tax Reform. Werfel said that these agents “are armed,” when questioned by Representative Adrian Smith of Nebraska (R) if he could confirm the IRS’ Criminal Investigation Unit planned to add “an approximate net gain of 1,200 special agents considering attrition.”
Smith: It’s my understanding from a communication I received from your agency last fall that Criminal Investigations plans to hire 360 special agents per year – per year – over the next five years for an approximate net gain of 1,200 special agents considering attrition. Is that accurate?
Werfel: That sounds about right. Again Criminal investigation Division deals with fraud and significant cases of tax evasion.
Smith: Correct, and those special agents are armed, is that correct?
Werfel: They are armed. It’s less than 3 percent of the IRS workforce.
Americans for Tax Reform also reported on where these new agents will be hired, with multiple recruitment centers across the country.
These include:
- 20 sites in Texas
- 18 sites in California
- 13 sites in each of Florida and New York
- 9 sites in each of Georgia, Pennsylvania, Illinois
- 8 sites in Ohio
- 7 sites in each of Tennessee, Michigan, New Jersey, Maryland
- 6 sites in each of Massachusetts, Missouri, Indiana, Virginia
- 5 sites in each of Arizona, Kentucky, Oregon, West Virginia
- 4 sites in each of North Carolina, South Carolina, Iowa, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Louisiana, Washington state and Alabama
- 3 sites in each of Minnesota, Oklahoma, Colorado, Mississippi, Arkansas, Utah, New Mexico
- 2 sites in each of Kansas, South Dakota, Nevada, New Hampshire
- 1 site in each of North Dakota, Alaska, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, Rhode Island, Vermont, Wyoming.
Currently the IRS is still running an advertisement on their website to obtain more of these armed agents. The description reads:
As a Special Agent you will combine your accounting skills with law enforcement skills to investigate financial crimes. Special Agents are duly sworn law enforcement officers who are trained to “follow the money.” No matter what the source, all income earned, both legal and illegal, has the potential of becoming involved in crimes which fall within the investigative jurisdiction of the IRS Criminal Investigation.
Because of the expertise required to conduct these complex financial investigations, IRS Special Agents are considered the premier financial investigators for the Federal government.
Criminal Investigation Special Agents are part of a diverse workforce that mirrors the taxpaying public we serve.
Furthermore the IRS asks that applicants –
Be willing and able to participate in arrests, execution of search warrants, and other dangerous assignments.
Carry a firearm; must be prepared to protect him/herself or others from physical attacks at any time and without warning and use firearms in life-threatening situations; must be willing to use force up to and including the use of deadly force.
Prior to the IRS’ new funding it already had a large stockpile of weapons and ammo. An OpenTheBooks report titled The Militarization of U.S. Executive Agencies documents what the IRS roughly had on hand before the $80 billion in new funding.
The 4,600-gun stockpile includes:
- 3,282 pistols
- 621 shotguns
- 539 rifles
- 15 fully automatic firearms
- 4 revolvers

Freedom in this country is gone. This country was founded upon no taxes to now we have puppet tyrants shelling out money to unelected officials, so they can kick our doors in and kill people if they don’t pay the publicans every penny; while the wealthiest in society are paying next to nothing if not anything at all.
They are corrupt, and speak wickedly concerning oppression: they speak loftily.
Psalm 73:8
[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).
