The problems being generated by the AI revolution amongst the broad masses are continuing to grow, with one the latest concerns coming to light that spammers and malicious individuals are deepfaking celebrities and social media influencers, making them say and do things that greatly hurt their reputation such as faking them being in pornography.

A deep fake is when someone emulates another individual by mapping and rotoscoping their facial expressions and voices onto another (i.e. someone pretending to be President Trump even though the video is fake).

Apple Granted Patents On Deepfake Technology. What Will They Use It For?

Since AI has exploded in popularity in multiple sectors, common “etiquette” is to clearly notate that if something is AI-generated and deepfaked. But, unsurprisingly, many do not clearly explain this and instead use this technology to deceive people; and are even using AI to generate unique viruses and malware.

Make Use Of explains:

Bad guys have always been attracted to good algorithms. So it’s no surprise they’re exploiting generative AI to power up their attacks. By utilizing ML methods such as reinforcement learning and generative adversarial networks, cybercriminals can come up with new, more sophisticated cyberattacks that can break through standard cyber defenses.

One example of this perversion is OpenAI’s “cutting edge” chatbot, as ChatGPT is leveraged by cybercriminals to write malware. At the start, ChatGPT seemed all fun and games but now it’s exposed as one of the major security and privacy threats. If you like chatting with ChatGPT, it’s smart to watch out for the things cybercriminals could do with ChatGPT.

In short, ChatGPT and other generative AI tools have made life easier for cybercriminals and harder for security teams. Some of the ways cyber threat actors utilize AI in their attacks include:

  • Building better, more sophisticated malware: In hands of hackers, generative AI can be used to generate hard-to-detect malware strains and execute attacks. Combined with AI models, malware could mask its intention until it fulfills its ill purpose.
  • Writing AI-powered, personalized phishing emails: With the help of generative AI, phishing emails no longer have the tell-tale signs of a scam—such as poor spelling, bad grammar, and lack of context. Plus, with AI like ChatGPT, threat actors can launch phishing attacks at unprecedented speed and scale.
  • Generating deep fake data: Since it can create convincing imitations of human activities—like writing, speech, and images—generative AI can be used in fraudulent activities such as identity theft, financial fraud, and disinformation.
  • Cracking CAPTCHAs and password guessing: Used by sites and networks to comb out bots seeking unauthorized access, CAPTCHA can now be bypassed by hackers. By utilizing ML, they can also fulfill other repetitive tasks such as password guessing and brute-force attacks.
  • Sabotaging ML in cyber threat detection: If a security system is overwhelmed with too many false positives, a hacker can take it by surprise with a real cyberattack.

Furthermore, a rising problem with AI are the deepfakes it can create, and this was highlighted earlier this year after it came to light that a popular Twitch streamer by the name of “Atrioc” was found to be watching deepfake AI porn, featuring other popular streamers and social media influencers, thus revealing that such type of content was already in heavy circulation, to the detriment of these content creators who had never did anything pornographic or sexual explicit online.

Female streamers like Maya, Sweet Anita, Pokimane, QTCinderella, and more have all been affected.

Sweet Anita, for example, told NBC that she has tried to get legal representation to get this content removed, but the costs would be far too great for the time required to do a thorough sweep.

Some nations in recent years are now banning deepfake AI porn, such as Australia and the United Kingdom.

New York Representative Yvette Clark has tried to introduce a bill twice that would require deepfake creators to put a watermark on the content to prove it is not real, and make it a punishable crime for cropping out the watermark.

NBC provides more details in their report:

[18] He that hideth hatred with lying lips, and he that uttereth a slander, is a fool. [19] In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise.

Proverbs 10:18-19

While what is happening is disgusting, horrible, and malicious, complaining about it does not change the problem, neither will regulation. And even if the heinous and deceitful content is deleted from online, basic video downloaders can still bypass this and people can continuously keep reuploading and fileshare it; and some tech geeks will be able to resurrect the content with the paper trails that are left.

One of the best ways to try and limit these deepfakes is to limit your exposure online as best you can. The idea of anonymity and being incognito online is a ruse. The moment you get on and do anything, down to every key stroke, there is a record of it somewhere.

If lawmakers were actually serious about this, then police would have to trace back who uploaded the defaming content and charge the uploader, thereby setting a precedent. Of course, the media and military use AI and deepfakes all the time, so most of the time, probably, all we see and hear from this is totally fake.

[7] Who goeth a warfare any time at his own charges? who planteth a vineyard, and eateth not of the fruit thereof? or who feedeth a flock, and eateth not of the milk of the flock? [8] Say I these things as a man? or saith not the law the same also? [9] For it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care for oxen? [10] Or saith he it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. (1 Corinthians 9:7-10).

  • Unavoidable. All of us mankind are a bunch of wicked fools, vain, selfish sinners, useless without the Lord’s grace and allowance. Always inclined to do wickedly. And without his salvation and his yoke of slavery (not the worldy kind of slavery) upon our necks to lead us to righteousness, our lives on earth would just be a botchery, and no more than a bunch of eternal, living barbecues once we die.

    Matthew 11:28-30
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I strongly agree that none of us are anonymous online. We could be anonymous to fellow common people, but to these servants of Satan, these wicked princes/rulers, they know about us undoubtedly.

Jacob, I think I may have reached the point where I can no longer post salvation comments and lead people to yours and Bryan’s ministry on Stupid Tube. The past 16 days, none of my comments containing salvation scriptures along with yours and Bryan’s ministry names got posted.

  • Satan’s children will act like Satan’s children. They’’ll do wickedly and love it and can’t stop themselves from hurting others. They continually curse Jesus Christ in their little warped mind and always reject the gospel in a puffing manner. They’ll have their eternal destruction coming soon, and they’ll deserve it. And they sure won’t love that.
